Elnara laughed, relieved and thankful for Celebor. "Not right now, sweetheart," she smiled, ruffling Serenity's hair again. "Another time. I think perhaps we should go home now, how does that sound to you?" She got to her feet and threw her bag over her shoulder.

Serenity turned around and picked up the nest that Skye had made, that still had the baby bird in it. "Can we take this with us, Mommy?" she asked, looking up at Elnara with her eyes wide and filled with hope. "Skye made it for him, he was all alone!"

Elnara was impressed with the quality of the weaving, and she nodded and smiled warmly. "Of course," she replied softly, kneeling and ruffling Serenity's hair affectionately. "But do you think you can carry it all the way home? Or perhaps Celebor could help you ... I need to carry Skye."

"I can carry both of them, Mommy!" Celebor volunteered eagerly. "I can carry S'ren'ty and she can carry the bird! Does that work 'kay?"
He darted forward and picked Serenity up, careful not to let her drop the bird. Or to drop her, for that matter.

Elnara smiled, then went over to pick up Skye. She was careful not to damage her daughter's crown of roses, and tucked her against her shoulder protectively. She also picked up the mat that Skye had been lying on and raised one eyebrow, impressed.
"Ready?" she smiled down at Celebor and Serenity.

Celebor nodded eagerly. "All ready!" he grinned. He got a better grip on his little sister and started heading off.

Elnara smiled and followed after him, making sure that they hadn't left anything behind. This seemed to be their personal play area, but who knew who else came around while they were gone?

Elnara had decided to stay with the children today and play with them, just to find out what it was like to spend time in the Second World. Their excitement after their last visit here had spread like a disease - albeit a good one.
And now here she was, following her son's instructions to find sticks and branches to put together to make a wall.

"More, Mommy, more!" Celebor encouraged his mother, his green eyes sparkling with excitement. "We gots to make a whole wall or more so's we can make our own house!"
He scrambled around, collecting as many twigs, sticks, branches, or whatever that he could find.

Skye and Serenity were off in the long grass, making sure not to get too deep or too far away. They were carefully selecting scores of the long blades, ones that were strong and all approximately the same length. They were on a mission. Skye of course had taken the role of leader, and Serenity was doing everything Skye was telling her. She plucked a few blades and held them out to Skye for inspectionSkye shook her head. "No good," she told her sister, and pointed at a few blades that were closer to what she was looking for.

There was a loud splashing coming from the direction of the river, and from over the bank a blue shape came bobbing. Excited barks escaped from its mouth, and as it came closer it became apparent that it was a puppy: but it was far from a normal puppy; it was dark blue with white snowflakes all over its fur.
She was dripping wet, and she barked excitedly and pounced on Celebor's back.

Celebor laughed and fell over, tumbling head over heels with the puppy.
"Snowflake!" he giggled as the puppy licked his face happily. "Stop it! We's trying to make ourselfs a home!" He giggled again, then pushed the puppy away and sat up again.
"Mommy!" he hollered. "Snowflake's all jumpy today!"
Elnara laughed. "Well, it's a new place for her, so she's hyper ... just ignore her and she'll be fine."

Skye wandered around until she had collected as much grass as she thought she might need, then led Serenity back to where their mother and brother were. She put one hand on the ground and giggled at the vibrations that tingled up into her arm, then laid out her grass blades in a long row. She beckoned for her sister to join her, then started weaving the grass together into a huge mat. Serenity dropped the grass she had brought over and ran over to play with Snowflake. She giggled and jumped on the puppy's back. "Go, Snowflake, go!" she cheered. "Fast fast!"

Elnara smiled at the children's antics, and collected all the sticks that Celebor had brought her. "Any more to put on it?" she asked him, looking around a bit. She flipped her hair over her shoulder.
Celebor picked up a few sticks from a pile he had been working on and brought them over to her. "Here, Mommy," he grinned. "I think that's all of 'em though." And he knelt beside her and helped her to put them together in a row.
