Make a sticky announcing guild contests and have the contests complete with rules in the game forum.
Guild events are still contests. Who is running them does not change anything,
In fact, just make a thread for guild announcements and for the contests you run just link to them where they're supposed to be.

The announcement should link to the event not be it. Put the contest in the Contest area and then link to it in the Announcements. Jaft (Lol, this took me awhile. Some of it inspired by Sav.) I'm thinking we create a set of rules describing and defining a contest, plug them in the RP/Game sub forum, and change the name to RP/Game/Contest. This way we can clearly state where contests belong and then move them all there. However, guild events are guild events. It isn't a matter of following rules, or that us mods just want to go around breaking them. Who made the rules in the first place? Couldn't we just make a rule where guild events are supposed to be placed in the main page and end this whole debate completely? Or maybe make a whole bunch of rules to abuse our power completely? Guild events are what they are. They're for you. Shouldn't they be on the main page for that reason, for easy access and participation. Guild events don't occur frequently and are hosted and funded by the mods themselves with some donations on occasion from the standard guild members. They should be on the main page for everyone to see, otherwise people could miss out on the events and that wouldn't be fair to them. Not everyone visits the sub forums all the time. I hardly ever go there. Omnileech, seriously, what do classes have to do with Gaia? This is Gaia. We come here to play and have fun. That's what these guild events are for. I don't sign on a moderator to go, "I'm the elite and now you all will listen to me!!" I don't have a hunger for power. Why exactly do you want what you want? Is giving any guild event more exposure wrong? I'm not understanding. egg

Contest do not belong with the Discussions, they belong in the games! We already pointed out that they should be IDD of the games sub-forum. If contest belong in the main forum non-word games do to!
And I already pointed out that they'd be ignored there because people won't think contests are in with the Games Subforum (but that is assumption on my part...a poll can decide, eh?). Much in the way IDD threads had to be regrouped with the main forum because no one went to the IDD Subforum. Not to mention both those IDD thread decisions were decided by poll.
No one!? No only the people intersted in the IDD went. Look at all the IDD that is in the main forum. I mean like every thread has a point and is a large debate. I mean it's not like you only see silly threads pwning the IDD all over the place

Edit: I have to go, so I'll check here tomorrow or Sat. maybe make some terms and rules for contests, and utilize some recommendations.

I already said this. Omnileech Rules exist for a reason, right? I guess not. I don't care if anyone including myself benefits from these games. They're still against the rules you guys set and you're shamelessly breaking them. There's nothing keeping you from announcing any of these games where games are supposed to be held. It's just plain hypocricy. At least that was my intention from the beginning but from what I gathered none of the mods who were speaking with me even considered alternatives. Within 20 minutes Alarias decided I was being childish as she claimed she settled everything by talking with the few mods who were online at the time. ( I presume)
