I can't remember exactly, but it was a few episodes from the end of the Chistopher Eccleston season, because I vividly remember getting really into it and then hating it when he transnformed into David Tennant. rofl
I had never even heard of Doctor Who before then. Scandalous, I know.

tennantsbutterfly Anna Mnemi My first original episode was something the the Daleks and the seventh Doctor. I can't remember the title now. That'd be Remembrance Of The Daleks (broadcast 8 - 25 October 198 cool , the opener of Season 26 (last before the break). The Seventh Doctor didn't have any other Dalek stories. That's the first one I saw as well, although I've probably already mentioned it... Yeah, that was it. Isn't there Resurrection of the Daleks, Remembrance of the Daleks, and Revelation of the Daleks? No wonder I couldn't remember the title.

Wow, all these mentions of episodes from the 70's and 80's are really making me feel like an infant. The first time I watched Doctor Who, it was because my sister was trying to get me into it and pestered me into watching The Shakespeare Code with her. I was hooked halfway through and ended up loving the show about eight times as much as she did.
Though, it was weird watching Shakepeare Code with ten and Martha and then having to go back and watch series one with Eccleston, especially considering it only took that one episode to make me fall in love with Ten. I haven't seen alot of classic who (mainly because I've been busy rewatching my favorite episodes and converting friends to the fandom), but I've been trying to fix that.

tennantsbutterfly Yeah, I think Resurrection and Revelation are both Sixth Doctor though (Richard_Swift'll put us right!) Rats, beaten to it! wink (Though I'd even argue that Revelation is barely a Sixth Doctor story, in the sense that it's barely a Doctor Who story! Eric Saward is, as always, so much more interested in mercenaries, soldiers and killers than he is in people like the Doctor that he writes it so that the Sixth Doctor does Absolutely Nothing At All for the entire first half of the story. sad )

People used to complain about JNT so much--it's Eric Saward who made the series all dark and violent. Didn't anybody else ever get that connection back then?? rolleyes

Didn't anybody else ever get that connection back then?? rolleyes Some did...if I remember right then the Audio Visuals crowd used to slate Saward something rotten at the time, but so much of fandom was in such a random "JNT MUST GO!" fervour that they'd blame him personally if their milk went off or if the traffic lights were against them. The most lunatic fan critics seemed to blame Colin Baker for the things the scripts made his Doctor do. I expect you've tangled with a few of them in your time. smile

Yes. rolleyes Wind-Whisper has an even better perspective--she got to see Colin at his very first appearance in the US, before any episodes were aired, I take it. She said he really went over great at that con & people really liked him a lot.... ....then they saw his first episode when it came out. A lot of fans just couldn't get that crazy just-regenerated behavior out of their heads and absolutely loathed him ever after. I've got a big bunch of old fanzines I bought from someone once--there's a story in one that is downright stomach-turning with it's hatred for #6, showing him cheerfully blowing the Master's brains out with a gun. evil

Well I never really Saw a full length episode (a real one) the first episode with the 9th Doctor (Rose). But when I was about 8 years old i woke up in the middle of the night and started to watch one of the Dalek movies that was on TV. It was the 2nd one the one that took place in 2051 or something like that. But i only saw a part of it. and fell a sleep. Then when I was 14 I hurd my dad talking about The Daleks and I asked what they were he told me to look up Doctor Who. So I did and thats when I saw the Scream of Shalka. Then Later on I watched (as they updated it ) Shada with the 8th Doctor. Then after a while of looking around I hurd they were brining back Doctor Who and I was so Excited. When Canada got series one we were 2 episodes behined the UK and the only reason for that was because of the Hocky Lock Out (all the Canadians Know what I mean) but now we have to wate for our seasons of Doctor Who to be shown on TV. So I watch them on the internet for Free. razz Screw the CBC for making us wate. But anyways Rose was my first Live action Doctor Who Episode I saw all they way threw.

My first episode was the first of the Cristopher Eccleson series. My favorite line in his episides has to be "What's your name? Rose? Hi Rose...RUN!" It's a shame it took me so long to hear about the doctor but I've gone back and seen a decent amount of the older doctors now though.
