Willow snickered this was priceless. "Aha, Carl most everyone loses feathers, scales or fur at one point or another. IT's not like you have to be embarressed of that. IF you watched animal planet you'd know."
Her tail flickered as she surpressed any laughter at all. Just sitting there grinning rather amused by the bird's reaction to something normal.

"Issn't it when they get old though? Unless you're a snake. We get a completely new set of scales every now and then." But the snake didn't sound at all worried about his 'shedding'. At least that was all in one go and didn't drop bits anywhere. Plus it left him with a whole new set of shiny scales! Not bald...
Sidney had watched Animal Planet alright but mostly on the topic of snakes. For obvious reasons he didn't make a pont of watching raptor documentaries.
Ah! But this was interesting! Carl wanted him to keep quiet? Didn't he think Sid would be just as likely to want to tell anyone about the kiss as he was? Maybe he though Sidney didn't really care? Well that gave him an upperhand...
"Hmm.. I supposse I could keep ssilent about it.... IF, you promise never to lay a claw on me again."

Not what he'd expected, but the Carl ultamitely nodded. "Fair enough. Not a claw, just so long as you don't tell and don't snap that whip at me - I'm not exactly fond of the idea of getting the tar and feathers beaten out of me." He paused. "Especially not the feathers."

Willow watched the two and shurged. Well maybe they'd learn their lesson on fighting. Ah well. She hopped off the couch quitely and moved to get her stuff. Making a sneaky exit would be nice if she went unnoticed as she had came.
She waited for the chimes to be lifted. Besides she was getting bored of the game anyways. She could watch from outside for a bit if she had to. Looking at carl and sidney she gave one last grin.

"Yeah well you had asked for that." Sidney replied, folding his arms. "I won't if you don't call me dumb... or dull." He had a bit of vainity after all. "Those are the termss. Take it or leave it."
He looked Carl in the eye and held out a hand to shake and seal the promise.
So intent on keeping his gaze, he didn't notice Willow sneak out.

"Well...Maybe, but next time don't accuse me of trying to kill you. Like I said before, you're the absolute last thing I would even consider eating." His own temrs, but at least he hadn't asked for something too unreasonable.
As the hand was thrust to him, he took it and squeezed, firm but not so much to hurt the teen as he gave one solid shake and then took his hand back. He didn't know much about Sid, but he didn't think enough of him yet to put momentary chilling pranks beyond him.

Sidney shook his hand, not as hard but firm all the same. Of course he wouldn't accuse, unless he thought it were true. And saving his skin was probably more important than dieing a social death. Even if he became a laughing stock for the other velvets he could just.... become a hermit.
"Ok, deal." He paused and looked up to Willow, seeing what she thought. But she was gone! "Lookss like Willow'ss given uss the sslip." He mused. It was getting late after all. "Well I'm going too. Jusst remember our promisse ok?"
And with that he shouldered his bag and headed out the shop door.
