(( Looooooooooooong overdue post...set after Masa, Onion Knight and Behebuncle leave Turtle's Paradise... *Kicks herself into gear as PN RP speeds up* ))

Masa pushed open the door leading out of the tavern with her shoulder, as both her hands were full. In one hand she carefully held Behebuncle, and in the other she carried Onion Knight, who was slightly worse for wear. "Exactly how many of those little glasses of beer did you have anyway?" She glanced down at Onion Knight, a concerned yet slightly amused look on her face.

Behebuncle simply shook his head as he watched his drunken companion.

His face was riddled with confusion as he considered her question carefully, to be entirely honest he wasn't sure how much he had drank but it had been quite a lot for his head was in a muddle and he was finding it rather difficult to focus on objects - everything was moving and it wasn't just because Miss Masamune was walking.

"Four?" He hazarded a guess and offered a wistful smile before squinting towards the ports, as far as he was aware he had only drank four...unless of course he'd forgotten about the others, "Ask the fluffy ball of light." He advised at last, obviously referring to Epine in her traditional form yet other than that he had nothing else to contribute to the conversation with the exception of one thing.

"Can you remember where I put Roan?"

Masa shook her head as he revealed how many drinks he had had, a light laugh escaping her lips. "Oh Onion..." Following his gaze towards the port, she noticed that the Blue Bhocobo that had brought them to the Tavern was still there. Smiling happily, she walked over to the big feathery bird and placed Behebuncle at the front of the saddle on its back.

Looking back down at Onion as he asked her about Roan, she tilted her head a little. "Where did you put him?" Petting the little Knight gently on the head, she considered his question for a moment. She hadn't seen Roan since the ball. "I'm afraid I don't know where you've 'put' him dear, but I'm sure we can find him if we look hard enough!"

Placing Onion Knight on Behebuncle's back so both her hands were free, Masa stuck her foot in the stirrup and swung herself on to the Chocobo, careful not to place too much weight on the bird as she sat comfortably in the saddle. Taking up the reins, she made a sharp clicking sound with her tongue, signalling for the Chocobo to move. Without any fuss, the bird obliged, happy to have a rider that clearly respected it.

Clearing his throat, the poor knight did his best to keep his head in one place. His tiny hands clasped tightly to his orange helm, he attempted valiantly to ensure that despite the bobbing he didn't accidentally throw up on top of his escort - beside the fact that it was rude, Behebuncle might be incliened to maul him for it as well and that certainly wasn't a pleasant concept.

"When you have time, head south west of Durem and towards the catacombs." He squeaked weakly, heaving a deep breath as he fell silent once more, he failed to elaborate but it was evident that he could hear or sense a kindred spirit of sorts calling to him and that was simply something he couldn't ignore, especially when it called for his aid.

((I hope I'm doing this right >>))

It had taken a lot of convincing, on the angel's part naturally, to get a friend of his to come along. It was odd how they knew one another, but then again, Akiya had a knack for meeting people oddly. Today his hair was riddled with braids that were coiled around his head. In one respect, they somehow looked like a crown. In the other, it kept his hair out of his face. Dressed in a long white tunic that was tied with a red silk sash, his pants were black and a tag baggy, the excess fabric covering the tops of his high boots. He liked his comfort, what could he say? Besides him was another male who was dressed rather plainly. A long, dark brown cloak swirled around his slim form, effectively hiding his face and most of his body in general from view. Dark pants were revealed at the bottom, as well as boots that matched Akiya's. The only strange thing about him was that his hood seemed a bit misshapen... though that could have been caused by any means.

Talking in low tones with the man, Akiya pushed open the door to the tavern and entered, though he had to duck cause the door was a bit too short for his height. His companion had no such trouble and looked around, a glimpse of dark eyes seen for only a moment or two before he deemed the place fine and looked towards the ground again. Akiya tapped his foot a bit before he clucked his tongue and headed over towards the bar. "Seems Archon isn't around today..."

"I dinnae know if I should be here..." His companion had a very.. varied way of speech. It could sound like any different accent, but he always had an accent. No matter how long he had been in Gaia, he was still not accustomed to its ways and he would must rather remain in hiding than be more out in the open. "Tis more yer place than mine..."

"Hey now, I'm just as new to this place as you are. You need to get out more, my friend." Not about to let him get away, he calmly grabebd his arm as the man tried to leave with muttered curses and purposely brought him over to the bar. "Sir." He made him sit down and then sank into a chair next to him. "You'll be with me. Relax."

"Pfft... easy for ye to say..." Reaching up, a black gloved hand yanked his hood down even further, ignoring Akiya's annoyed sigh.

The tavern was rather hushed that day, considering the events that had taken place previously some were either celebrating or sleeping off disappointment. Nevertheless, hidden amongst the many bottles of wine beneath the counter, the little Lantern Archon had allowed herself to enjoy a little 'me-time' in which she slept solidly for any number of hours - in fact the little creature was rather startled when she heard a familiar voice spark to life.

"Eeee!" She chirped quietly from underneath the counter before whipping upwards in a flash of pale blue light, as was to be expected she still hadn't located her rebellious body but she was still present in some form.

"'Tis you again Zy!" She chirped merrily, pulsing briefly with delight before seemingly 'turning' round to cast a critical glance over his friend, "Somebody you know?" She enquired curiously, desperately attempting to remember why that strange fuzzy feeling was rising up inside her...she always did forget the important stuff.

Hearing the Archon's voice made him grin and Akiya leaned forward as she darted up so quickly. "Ah, you appear, knowing I was speaking of ya, huh?" It was always fun to speak with her, least so he thought. He had a lot of fun the last time, even though when the event happened, everything went all crazy and he wasn't able to speak with her or Onion Knight again. It had made him a bit sad, but such things were as they were. They were busy and he couldn't selfishly demand their attention. So he had returned to his home, which was in a different dimension than Gaia itself, to rest and recharge. He could have gone back to his granfather's... but that was always such a pain in the a**. It pleased him that she could recall him, given her memory. "This is a friend of mine. His name's Koniryu. Please don't mind his silence, he's not big on being out in public just yet..."

At the introduction, Koniryu inclined his head in respect. There was a strong energy in this place.. and it had nothing to do with the being of light before him. Oh no, this was something different. Tilting his head up a bit, he studied the orb more through the fabric of his hood. Her brightness made it a lot simpler for him to see. "There are powerful energies here...."

"Sounds like Roan." Epee muttered dismissively before buzzing towards the pair, continuing to observe the strange one every now and then before releasing a giggle, "So where did you disappear to anyway?" She enquired, inquisitive by nature she simply couldn't help herself...she had to know one way or another where everyone was during special events.

"She even gave away precious objects." She added as an after thought, releasing a sigh as she tried to recount exactly why she was meant to recognise the quiet one - had he been the one who had contacted the tavern and claimed he'd seen her body or was it the other one who rang up to warn them about the rabid rats in the cellar...she needed a secretary, desperately.

"Hrm..."

"Heh, yeah you could say that. Though I'm sure they both have their different reasons who hiding themselves." He was tugging lightly on a braid when he was asked about his whereabouts and he smirked lightly. "Well, with everything happening and everyone motoring about, I was out looking for those odd lamps the Highlord wanted. I couldn't find any, but I ran into him. He had been murmuring to himself about some really shiny crystal he had saw in a dream or something."

"I am meant to come here... though the reasoning of why is a bit beyond my understandin' at this point." Koniryu had rested his hands on the countertop, his fingers tapping out a rhythm only he seemed to know. "I dinnae know what exactly it means... but I am here to find that... Akiya has offered to help me search..."

The angel nodded in agreement. "What he said. I did try to come by after everything quieted, but I was a bit weary and he had confused me so I went home for a bit. What about you? What did you do?"

Epine released a bemused chuckle at his explanation and bopped up and down once more in thought, every now and then whispy tendrils escaped from her sphericalform and one could only assume that she was desperate to try and 'expand' into a more appropriate form, preferrably one with a face so that she didn't look quite so odd when she laughed.

"I stayed here, I wanted to see how many of the lamps were found!" She chirped merrily, giving a shiver as she recalled how each person had been astounded by the wriggling pots that had appeared in their hands...and even more so when some of them had begun to bite!

Nevertheless, the world 'crystal' seemed to tug at one of the tiny fragments of recollection in Epine's memory and she released a rather dramatic gasp - no wonder her ethereal tendrils kept sweeping towards that man...she was supposed to give the oddball something!

"It's you!" She squealed, zooming around his head innumerable times before settling herself in front of him, the pulsing light dimming as though she were about to become very serious, "What did the crystal look like?"

Looking down at Onion Knight, Masa nodded, and lightly pulled on the reins of the Chocobo, steering it towards the left. "I think Durem is this way..." It didn't even occur to her to question Onion Knight, ask him why he wanted to go this way. She trusted him enough to just go where he wanted, even though he wasn't in the best frame of mind to direct them.

Behebuncle tilted his head to the side so he could watch Onion Knight, his eyes narrowed a little. "Will you be alright Onion Knight?"

He nodded at her explanation cause he had stuck around for that reason as well. It made him wish he had found one. Probably because he was easily amused and the thought of a wriggling and biting jar would have kept him rather amused for quite some time. But the best part had definately been to see the expression on each owner's face... though the one he missed was the one who had found the final one. He had disappeared after the third lamp and possibly the third jar had been found. Treasure hunting was not his strong suit. Noticing how she was trying to stretch herself out into a bigger form, he wondered why she didn't go to find her body and rejoin the two together. Of course, it was on the tip of his tongue to ask, but he said nothing as of yet. "From what I saw of those, I wished I had kept searching, heh."

If Koniryu knew that Archon thought of him as an oddball, he would have been rather offended. Nevertheless, he reached under his cloak and stroked a dark green goatee as she flew around his head. "It was clear... or so it seemed at first glance. But it glowed in a multitude of beautiful colors... the feelings I got from it was serene..." When she moved to settle before him, she caught a glimpse of a horns, well more like antlers, that were causing his hood to protrude so oddly. But it was only a quick glance and then his face was hidden in shadow again. "Do ye know why I am seekin'?"

"Oh, I will be fine my good boy," Onion responded in a faint manner, evidently uncomfortable with the jerking motions of the chocobo but as a knight it was his duty to endure such 'trivial' issues as this - instead, he kept his semi-glazed eyes focused on the way ahead, savouring the knowledge that Masamune was heading in the direction that he deemed necessary.

"Thank you Lady Masamune," He spoke, his tone one of absolute gratitude, "I really should not have been so foolish as to drink so much given the situation." He confessed meekly.

"I think I do," She replied calmly, pausing briefly to inspect his oddly familiar face - she'd seen that green goatee and those antlers somewhere before and she could have sworn that it wasn't at Yule time either...in fact even the aura surrounding him appeared to be of familiarity for her - at that moment she could only curse her atrocious memory, said problem was always arising when her body decided to go on strike.

"Actually, I do." She confessed, pulsing faintly as she directed a whispy tendril towards the Ports within Gambino where the large circus tent lay, "I vaguely remember the Guardian telling me to guard one of the Crystals until its summoner came but that was around about the same time when my body decided it no longer liked me anymore." She mused, her tone wry through the irony of it all.

"I suppose if you can locate my body somehow then I'll be able to give you that Crystal...methinks you be the summoner I was waiting for." She mused before flashing briefly, almost as though she might have flashed a smile. "I suppose if I went with you I could always point myself out, no?"

Koniryu was deadly silent for the longest time. This wisp was staring at him for far too long and it was making him twitch. What was she honestly staring at? Last he had checked, his cloak and hood were rather clean, thanks, so it wasn't tattered and filthy. Odd little creature. However, his ears flicked when she confessed to knowing what he was speaking up and both he and Akiya straightened up. This was awesome and Koni had to agree with the angel when he had said Archon would know.. with some prodding.. what they were talking of. "The Guardian? Is the Guardian someone different than the Highlord?" If he was to protect this crystal as his dream dictated, he needed all the info about this place as he could.

"We'll have no problems with helping you locate your body, Archon." The thought of actually getting to help out always made Akiya smile and he stood up after a bit, straightening a few loose braids. "If you think Koniryu's the one you were waiting for, then we should waste any time. It wouldn't be good for someone to try to make off with yet another crystal, right?"

As he spoke, he and Koni both looked over towards where she had pointed out the tent. It would be hard to miss such an.. interestingly colored tent. Koni's nose wrinkled under his hood but he made no outward comment. "Your body is in there as well?"
