((Hey, guys, I'm trying to get to [MB]-8 right now so would one of you battle me for my fifteen posts with an airbender thing? sweatdrop ))
Tsuzuki shook her head, slightly troubled by the thought that she didn't know where her fellow lieutenants were. "No," she confessed, "I have no idea where Fulgar is right now. We didn't exactly get along great, you know, and, well, he could be in the Earth Kingdom right now for all I know."
She poured him another glass of juice while remembering Niima. She looked over at her, not surprised to see the airbender scanning the room with her eyes. "Quite the inquisitive sort, eh, Niima?" She asked with a knowing grin and flowing happiness to her voice, "Unfortunately, not much truth about my family history can be found in this room besides the fact that we all loved to read. Different tastes in literature, as you can probably tell, but reading none-the-less."

(best to ask that in character. *smiles*)
Her head snapped as she was spoken to and a soft pink crept to her cheeks. "Forgive me for being so nosey. I was just admiring the surroundings and keeping to my thoughts. Reading is good, it strengths the might which needs to grow just as much as one's body." She offers a delicate smile to Tsuzuki.

Musei nodded, remembering Niima's discontent at him mentioning Fulgar, so he decided to drop it. If they were meant to meet, they would meet. Taking another drink of the juice, he tried digesting what Niima said. His knee began bouncing out of uneasiness and boredom. Not that what they were doing was boring; but he was a kid. He wasn't content just sitting there, listening to older people talking about serious topics.
Slowly his mind wandered back to the Air Temple, and the fight that he first walked up to. Coming to think of it, he hadn't done anything like that. He barely learned how to use his air bending, and already he was wanting to do something. Straight from a wobbling walk to a run.
He set his chin down on the table, studying the pineapple juice further, though nothing had changed about it. Nothing new to observe.

((Okay. I just didn't want to just thrust it into your face without any warning or anything whee ))
Tsuzuki nodded, "You know what you're talking about," but she hessitated before asking, "Could you, perhaps show me some airbending moves? Now for me to do of coarse," she grinned broadly, "But. . . I mean. . . I've never sparred with an airbender before."
Her newly-found shyness was odd and awkward to her. She found herself struggling for words which had never happened before. "So would you mind if we did spar? I mean, it's just for fun of coarse. Nothing too serious. But you didn't come to the Fire Nation to have tea with me and I won't ask what you're doing but you might want to practice a little before going all in."
She smiled in a friendly manner; it may have been her duty to protect the Fire Nation now but she wouldn't arrest anyone just to entertain her own suspicions. This statement also would show Niima that she wasn't as stupid as she first came off to be. Tsuzuki may be nice and fun-loving but she wasn't a complete dunderhead.

(that's very sweet of you compared to some other people's attitude toward it *huggles*)
She blinked slowly and craned her head to the side. Her lips pressed together and she looked over towards Musei. She was not ready to let the youth attempt a fight. Even a spar with someone nearly twice as strong as he...and without Taizen or any other healers..Musei could be really screwed over. And just by judging how Tsuzuki carried herself it was easy to tell she had some power behind her.
Her attention spanned back to Tsuzuki, a hand lifting to scratch her temple. Hehe. "Alright I suppose. It's been a while before I've fought with a firebender. I would allow Musei to but he is still in the beginner steps. He may not be able to handle a spar..I mean.." She paused and looked back over to Musei. "Unless you really want to dare testing your strength..." It was his choice after all.

(I agree. Take KogaP for example.)
Musei smiled, and reached up to pat Niima on the head. "Niima's worried about me! So sweet!" Retaining that wonderful smile, he looked over at Tsuzuki. "I did learn from the best, so I'm pretty confident." He elbowed Niima as he took another sip from his glass. "Plus, I haven't been able to run around for the longest time. This might be my first chance in a while for excercise. Unless...of course...you'd rather go with someone more professional."
Musei shrugged, taking another drink. "Which would be completely fine by me." Setting the glass down, he waited. Of course, he didn't expect much. What talented person would spar with a young kid who's never even sparred before?

((*huggles back* Thanks guys biggrin ))
Tsuzuki hessitated; her answer would inadvertantly give them a large look on her mentality. On the one hand, she could choose Musei so as not to hurt his feelings but it could also tell them that she would much rather take the easy route. But, on the other hand, she could choose Niima which would prove to be more of a challenge and it would keep Musei safe but she didn't want Musei to think that she didn't think of him as a worthy opponent. The second selection had more benefits. "Niima, if you wouldn't mind, could I battle you?" She turned to Musei and said, "It's not that I don't think you're a worthy opponent, Musei, it's just that I think I would give Niima a heartattack if we sparred."
"Niima," she continued, "would you rather a fight in the dojo here or on the beach? Since I've fought a fair amount in all of the places around here, I think that you ought to be the one to choose."

Musei smiled. "Yeah, she probably would." Taking another sip of the tangy juice he shrugged. "And it's no problem by me. I probably would have done the same thing." Resting his chin back down on the table, he waited to see what Niima would say.
Because Niima...well...had seen a few fights too many, Musei figured.

(No comment stare )
Her face went red. Quick! Was she that over bearing? Course..they both where right. She'd be sitting on the edge of her seat and scolding Tsuzuki from the sidelines for being too rough. She saw the look on Musei's face drop. She knew he wanted to test his skills. Nibbling on her bottom lip she shook her head. "If..you wish to fight Musei, I will allow it. I just..am not sure he is ready for it. You are almost double his aura and strength so in somewhat it is a unfair advantage. But by judging his face he really wishes to attempt so..please..don't let my.....mothering him...be a factor in your judgment."

Tsuzuki's smile fell slightly as she confessed why she really wanted to battle Niima over Musei, "Actually, Niima," her voice wavered, "I have to battle someone more experienced for-" she cut herself off before continueing with a different scentence, "I need to be prepared for the upcoming future. I'm worried about my friends in the Earth Kingdom and in the Fire Nation. And I need to be able to protect them. Part of that is knowing how an airbender fights and although I'd be more than happy to take both of you on at once, I've always been bad at focusing on too many things while trying to learn one."
This was one of the few true images of herself that she had given her guests. She looked at her feet, slightly embarassed by her explination but then raised her head back up to stare Niima straight in the eye, "Where would you like to battle?"
Although she felt bad about rejecting Musei's attempts so blatently, she needed this chance: this look into the near future.

(Truth be told. Niima only has one fight left also. But a waterbender. Taizen was suppose to be her last fight. Was going to have Niima go for position of head of the Airbenders too but....anywho..back to RP!)
"I am sure you are always wishing to grow stronger for the war also.." She drew to stand, giving a apologetic look to Musei. Her attention turns to Tsuzuki. "You have been very kind to us so I cannot just turn my back on your request. The beach would be better. Sparring, even if friendly, can tend to get a bit hectic on surrounding areas. I do not wish anything to happen to your dojo." She just hoped there wasn't some ill intention behind Tsuzuki's words and want of growing. It was hard to tell when one you just met closes themselves off at the start of a sentence.

Tsuzuki nodded with a smile while remembering the burn that was now on her dojo walls from only the other day. "Sounds good. Let's go," she said while getting up and leading the way back down the hall towards the door.
The garden was still as beautiful as ever but was now slightly clouded by a few men and women who appeared to be taking care of it. She lead them through the rose bush-laden path and down past a small pond that was in another part of the garden entirely. The beach wasn't much further. Although it was also beautiful as was the entire mansion, Tsuzuki didn't take much notice; she'd lived here most of her life and the magic had become quite old hat for her. "Okay, whenever you're ready," she grinned wildly as she took a rather offensive stance, ready to send fireblasts right away if she needed to.

She followed after Tsuzuki, a small flinch creeping to her face at the mere thought of Kurai's fan's and fire digging into her back. She gestured for Musei to follow as she made her way. Heck. Niima's hair still was cut uneven thanks to Kurai, the titian strains once one length now layered in many ways.
Seeing the grin, Niima felt the pit in her stomach deepen. Her eyes drifted from Tsuzuki and about their surroundings before her eyes settled onto Tsuzuki once more. However, it was a different look. Like a blank mask had settled upon her features, Niima took stance. She didn't attack, simply waiting for Tsuzuki to take the first move. In fact her staff remained drapped over her shoulders while her hands where set before her form. She felt the staff would be a unfair advantage after all.

Tsuzuki guessed that it was she who had to make the first move and nodded in understanding towards Niima. No, her opponent. Names would just make her feel more emotionally attached and less likely to put her all into the spar. She decided to start somewhat slow, conjuring fire with her hands clenched around some invisible object. She twirled them in a half circle, keeping her muscles tense enough to stop the fire from exploding all around her but loose enough to keep the fire coming. Then, she quickly shot it to her right side, twirling it around in the air to come towards Niima.
As quickly as the fire had been shot, she kicked several times in the air, sending several jets of fire towards Niima. Hopefully, this would help her get a hold on airbender tactics as she had never even seen an airbender bend for protection or offense much less fought one.
