Draku was resting his eyes, listening to their conversation. Every minute past and the sounds he heard turned faint and echoed in his thoughts like a dream. His body could not hold on any longer and fell asleep. During his deep slumber, his dreams had told him that he had passed this forest before the Lycan took over. He passed somewhere around here when he fled from the undead army. It was all a blur but somehow he knew that somewhere in this forest he slept. Slept behind something, near the sounds of rushing waters. Fortunately, he didnt know that the village he once lived in was only three kilometers away. His mind did not allow such horrid thoughts to return.

((Alright, I'm guessing that everyone had fallen asleep.))

Serobi fell into the deepest slumber he had experienced. Back home, he was too spoiled and pampered to ever experience such exhaustion and lack of sleep. Not to mention sleeping in the depths of a forest habited by unknown species. The creatures that lurk around could even be dangerous. However, he had a sense of peace knowing that the wolves of Nathanial would have cleared this forest. His sleep was accompanied by a pleasant dream regarding the peace that could perhaps be restored to Alerna.

It was morning; dim twilight pierced the pitch darkness of the forest. A faint ray of sunlight heated Serobi's face, enough to wake him up. His eyes opened into slits. The group slept calmly nearby, one of them even giving out a faint and silent snore. Nathanial? Ah, I remember now. He came back right after the vampire's sudden appearance. All of his past memories returned to him upon his conciousness awakened. He lifted himself silently enough not to waken anyone from the group. Suddenly, his ears twitched as he picked up the whispering sound of running waters. A stream was probably nearby or a waterfall. I could probably take a morning bath by now... Serobi made his way within the forest soundlessly, following the sound of water and avoided the dense vegetation.

A running stream was visible in range. Waters fiercely slapped upon rocks and sneaked their way into fallen branches, sliding by the mossy river bank. The clear, yet dark water came from an exceptionally tall water fall at least ten meters wide. The height was tall enough to make it hard for an estimation. Somewhere by the raging waters was a calmer area where water clashed with a protruding area of the river bank, slowing down the fierce flow. Serobi made his way across the frigid waters that constantly threw themselves at him, wetting the clothes below his knees.

Upon reaching his intended area, he summoned his refreshed energy and halted the waters by the calm area. Few ripples, followed by another made their way to the edges where his powers were not applied to. Eventually, the water pool now became still as solid. Placing his bare palm on the still surface, he heightened the temperature at a comfortably warm level.

Serobi undressed and placed his clothing on the river bank, away from the reach of jumping droplets. He enjoyed the water and gave out a loud sigh of relief which was drowned by the loudness of the stream. From where he bathed, a small fog formed surrounded him as he made his way beneath a plant branch that happened to be reaching over the stream water.

It wasnt exactly bright yet so the wandering fireflies luminated the environment as they freely buzzed from tree to tree. The green light they emitted reflected upon the stream, giving off a pleasant light show. Other bio-luminescent lights created by these insects reflected on blue algae, and gave off purple rays. It should be less than an hour until they wake up so I'll stay for a while. The insects also wandered from behind the waerfall, brightening the dull environment and gave a rare sight.

Lecta deeped slow deep breaths. She was the type of girl, that could sleep thru a tornado. She let out a soft groan, rolling onto her back. Her eyes opened, but she was not half asleep. She slept as if she had slept for many days. She sat up. Staring at the Sleeping Draku. A soft smile spread across her face and she pushed his hair out of his face. But werre was serobi? Nathanial was sleeping away from them, against a tree. Alone, not in the companie of the others. She rose to her feet, streatching. Her back cracked and she let otu a comfortable groan.

Draku awakened with a frown, caused by his dream. He stood lazily and experienced deja vu for the first time in his life. Deja vu that told him he had lived nearby once and was exiled to this very forest. Even if there was no undead, Nathanial would have eaten all of them anyway. Lecta was up and Serobi nowhere to be found. It was too early and Draku avoided the rotting vampire corpse nearby. Only something like it could wreck his day. Once again, he placed a hand on his neck, feeling an imaginary bite.

"Where's Serobi?" he mumbles and rubs his eyes."Where did he go.."

Draku yawned and stretched, cracking his back and stretched his arms.

"Probebly taking a bath in the neerby river..."she giggled, fixing up his hair and sighed"Did you sleep well?"she asked and titled her head to the side"You still look quite tired, perhaps. You should rest a little longuer, you humans...are awefully weak if you do not sleep well. Am I not right...yuo get sick, disoriented...no?".

"No, as long as we got at least eight to twelve hours of sleep, we'll be fine." he says. "I'm not that weak. jeez." Draku made his way into the forest, following the sound of the stream. He ran his fingers along the wet leaves and rubbed his hands together. It was still dark even though it was morning.
"It may not be too polite to disturb him.."

"I'm sure he wont mind...we should atleast let him know werre awake..."she pushed a bush out of the way and tripped"Ow..."she groaned, staring back at Serobi's clothing and giggled"Oops..."she stood up brushing herself off and refolded his clothes"I'm awefully clumbsy when I just wake up...".

Nathanial was awake now his ears picking up on the sounds around him. He rose from his resting place and slowly followed the group without making a sound. He wasn't trying to sneak up on the pair, but he felt that he had no reason to talk so why bother. He stood in plain sight a few feet away from them sniffing the air and looking around at his surroundings.

Once Lecta had arrived, Serobi was already done, and had his pants on. He put on his shirt and armor, strapping them tight. The calm water in which he was bathing on now returned to normal temperature and flowed with the rest of the current. His jet black hair was still wet. Using his elemenkenises, he drained all the water from his hair and back to the stream. The morning sun had already risen enough to brighten the forest.

"Time to headout to Meldonar," he says in an anticipating voice. "Iguess."

He gathered his knapsack and hung the water skin beside his pants. There wasnt going to be any battles in the future so he re filled the container with water and drained out the ale.

Draku was in a saturnine mood which he faked with a glum smile. As Lecta and serobi conversed, he took a little detour towards the waterfall. He journeyed behind the massive cascading water and entered a dark cave, where sunlight had not shed its brightness. As expected, this was where he slept, a few kilometers away from the village after being exiled by the undead. When he was cornered, this was the only place he could seek refuge. A glimmering stone hid in a corner and Draku bent over to pick it up. Must have dropped it while running. He gave out a loud sigh once again. A few moments later, he decided to leave. The past cannot be undone. He shouldnt dwell on it but instead, dwell on the present moment. Happy he should be that several people decided to join his cause. He exited the cave and made his way towards the group in silence. I am so weak...

Lecta watched Draku walk towards the waterfall. Something was bothering him. But what? She best not ask. She smiled softly, watching him walk off"Yes...lets be off..."she whispered"But first...we must wait for Draku, I think...he needs a little time alone..."she stared back up at the elf, examening his elven ears. They werre much, much shorter then her kind. She had just noticed"How strange..."she wispered, lifting her hand up to the side of his face, and ran her fingure gently along his ear lobe"Why...are my ears so much longuer then yours....?". She picked up his hat, letting out a soft laugh and handed it to him"Here you are...".

"I dont know why that is. Maybe night elves have longer ears?" he says and took his hat back, placing it on his head. Serobi noticed that Draku had now came out of the waterfall with a smile. Although he may seem happy, there was that aura that didnt seem right. The aura usually found when a group is in sorrow or share the same mood. Despite that, he decided that its best to let it wear off for a while. "Let's go Draku. We need to find a way up that waterfall. The higher altitude will give us a good overlook of the Marlboro mountains."

Serobi had no clue of what lied ahead the waterfall. Little did he know that Draku's village was there.

"Alright..." he mumbled and made his way east to where a narrow passage was that lead up the waterfall. He tried to act as if he was never here before but it was hard to portray. Years before, he would usually wander around this area so he had a pretty good idea of where everything was placed by nature. Draku started climbing the mossy, narrow passage. It was like a crack in the rock wall where the crumbled debris formed like a disfigured staircase.

"It slippery so be careful. We should probably reach the mountains soon."

Being here felt nostalgic. He knew that the path they took would also give an overview of his village. Somehow, he felt a faint force that wanted to draw him closer.

"Perhaps..."she whispered watching Draku climb"I will climb up AFTER you guys..."she giggled"I am in a leather skirt anyway...Unless Serobi would like a beautiful jawdropping sight."she teased, staring up at the elf beside her and laughed aloud"I wonder werre Nathanial whent off to..."she whispered to herself. Scratching at the back of her head and released a sigh"Stressfull times...If I should say so myself...".

Draku tried to laugh at Lecta's joke but no avail. All that came out was a faint snort. It wasnt long before reaching the top. Draku walked at a faster pace, burdened by sorrowful anticipation. He wanted to see his past home once again, inevitably hoping that his people were living the same normal lives.

He reached a certain area within the forest. Climbing upon a steep cliff, he overlooked his village and goosebumps ran down his spine. Houses run down covered a vast area and black soil covered the entire village. Looking closely enough, stray arrows could be seen by roof tops, piercing the delicate structures. Within the center of the village was a massive structure, the only one that remained standing tall and confident. It was the only thing the undead were unable to penetrate.

A faint breeze blew his face as it did with the ashes. Not only that there were destroyed buildings, but also corpses littered across the area. No survivors ever lived except for him and a few others that seeked refuge in the tower. It is true, isnt it? Life is so cruel. Why? he asked himself, and of course, unable to come up with an answer. If only he lived a life of equivalent exchange.
