Paradigm Of Mae-Ascent

PostPosted: Tue Aug 24, 2004 1:13 pm

A shadowy horse bearing Mae as a rider rides across the bridge, stopping in the middle. "So this is also ours? hm...interesting..." he gallops to the edge of the bridge and look over the edge. "Definately a good place to hang humans from." he said with a grin.

He kicked off the horses stirrups and landed in a kneel at the edge, claws extended and him slowly levitating down to inspect under the bridge for a place to set up housing and a hotel type complex. "Definately liking it...."

Neko walked along the bridge, looking strangely dwarfed on its large road. She didn't care. Here there was no fighting, no worrying about Vampires, Lycans, or Hunters. Even other Demons didn't really coem here anymore. She was in her human disguise, black hair pulled into a braid, her ears normal, her tails out of site, and her pupils circular. Her weapons were hidden, and her scent Illusioned to make even other nightwalkers think she was human. No sense in inviting trouble.

She leaned against the railing and sighed. New York was fine, but it sometmes got to hot. Sometimes you needed to cool down.

Slifer leant against the wall, his hood pulled over his face. His trenchcoat hung loosely on him, a small cut bled from a previous encounter with a vampire. Those in the area would sense he was a demon from the smell of the blood. He was trying to attract things. Things to talk to really. The fact was, he was lonely.

Being a demon and a hunter had its prices, loneliness was one of them. But, he wouldn't talk to anyone unless forced to. His katana hung loosely at his side. The demon closed his eyes and muttered something under his breath. The age old saying his mother had taught him "I am evil, so let the darkness consume me"

Neko felt the presance of another person, but facing the ocean as she was, she didn't see who. She turned her head slightly, to see who it was. It was a person, face covered by a hood, wearing a trenchcoat and a katana. He smelled of blood. he wanted to attract attention.

Neko turned around, facinated by this new person. Male or female? The stench of blood was overpowering the smells of the person. The katana was well used she could see. She stood there, confused. She wanted to go talk to the person, but her instincts stopped her, and her instincts were hardly ever wrong. A sudden smell bloomed in Neko's nose.

He was a demon....

He looked towards Neko and smiled at her, small pointed fangs showed from under the brim of his hood. He closed his eyes again and stood there, humming an invisible song. He shook his head slightly andhis back appeared to move. This was because of the wings he kept under them.

He listened to the ocean, its waves breaking slowly against the bridge's base. Smiling to himself he let it calm him, keep him from attacking random demons. Speaking of which, he needed to eat soon. He couldn't keep feeding off cows. He hated when this time of the month came. Sighing he pondered his dilema

((are we on or under the bridge?))

((On the bridge we are.))

Neko didn't miss that glimspse of fang that person showed. Now Neko was genuienly curious. The person had smiled. She look at him, giving him a look, smiling a bit in return, letting her curly bangs fall along either side of her face to give her a bit of sensuality. She wasn't an Incubus of Sucubus, but she knew how to use what she had. Her instincts were still calmoring. But why?

He walked toward her and smiled. He looked over the edge into the flowing water and spoke. His voice clear and crystaline "Its a nice night, isn't it?" he then looked at her and winked "Maybe next time you go out though" he said smiling "You would want to conceal yourself better"

He then looked out to moored boats, watching them sway. He also saw something swimming in the harbour. Probably another aquatic demon. He had seen some earlier, they seemed to flock to the bridge. The alge that gathered must be good for them...

From the voice, she gathered that the person was male. She sat on the edge of the bridge, crossing her legs so that the slit in her red Chinese tea dress fell over her leg and exposed it to her hip. She didn't mind. She had Illusioned shorts under her dress. She leaned back on her hands, apprichating the stars.

"I thank you for worrying about my saftey stranger, but don't worry. I may not look it, but I can handle myself." She smiled at him, her bangs partially covering her eye. "By the way, my name is Catrina, but call me Neko. What may I call you, stranger?"
PostPosted: Wed Sep 08, 2004 6:30 pm

"I go by many names, most of them are not desired" he said with a sigh, he sat next to her and watched the stars "But you may call me Slifer" he said with a small sigh. He hated saying his name, it reminded him of what he had become. He moved his katana slightly.

"I... i have something to say" he said wondering how well she might take this. "I may be a demon..." he wondered some things while he told her the next bit, like how kind to traiters was she. Most demons were cruel "I am a hunter..."

Neko was startled, but she didn't show it. The look of pain on Slifer's face when he had said his name, when he had said he was a hunter....She looked at him, her face innocent.

"Why would you think I would know of anything to do with hunters and demons, Slifer? Don't I look just like an ordinary human?" Neko asked, looking a bit confused, but didn't feel it. Her Illusions on smells had never been perfect; her parents hadn't been to good at it either. Maybe it had failed her again. But that was fine. Slifer didn't look like he was going to attack, but with hunters, or any demons, you could never tell.

Slifer was surprised she wasn't angry. He looked at a scar on his right arm, well more like he felt the scar. It was given to him by a group of demons. They hated him being a hunter. He smiled at her before answering her last question. He looked at her face carefully before answering

"You aren't as good as you think. Most aren't." he sighed and then turned away "I have to go" he said slowly. He knew this wasn't right, he shouldn't be with her. He shouldn't. But he didn't want to be lonely anymore. He hated it. He felt ripped in two. It wasn't fair, why couldn't someone else do it.

He was so young, 16 was the age most demons relish, yet here he was, cleaning up after humans, watching them. Tear glimmered in his eyes and he turned to leave... she probably wouldn't stop him, why should she

*she sat at the edge of the bridge looking off into the inky abyss below while cars whisked by without a thought or care. The people passing by didn't give her a passing glance even if she had silver hair. It's amazing how ignorant they are. How can it be? Were all around them and yet they don't notice a single thing. She shook her head, holding onto the guard rails while sticking her head through the bars, the red glow from her eyes didn't show anything below but the rushing of the water filled her ears making her imagine the water. A few people saw her so close to the edge and glanced over but no one stopped. After all it was probaly just another one to die anyways. She sat up strait with her head pressed against the cold bars, the icy, water below flooding her thoughts.*

(Hello? anyone here? sad )
*With a small sigh she closed her eyes and started listening to everything wishing the cars didn't smell so bad along with all the people passing her by. Hey can't have everything right? Everyoen she met knew that even if they didn't say it. Sometimes you just know it. But hey thats how life is, give to be taken, save to live, hope to dream. She smiled at this thought and a small laugh escaped her lips.*
