Nalikai grinned, "Yeah, but you're a part of it now, aren't you?" He answered, looking at his mate with a raised eyebrow and mock-pouting, "It's getting so big now. I remember when I was just Ryuune and I."
"I don't think I could have ssssurvived if Kechara hadn't come in or if Kieran hadn't sssshown up." Interjected Ryuune, placing two cups onto the table. He went back for two more and placed them onto the table. The little fluff ball in his paw managed to wriggle free and zoomed toward the table.
Crashing into it and skidding to a halt in front of Kieran. It popped up, grinning as if nothing had happened, "Khilas! I is Khilas!" It bubbled, smiling up at him with absolute adoration, "I come to look after little feather! Why you come?" He looked up at the blue male with big blue eyes.
Ryuune groaned, "He's been a pest sssince the moment he came here." He groaned, "Won't leave me alone for a sssecond unlessss I tell him to go watch the feather." He set a plate of cookies on the table, eyeing the little fluffy creature.
Khilas perked up instantly, "Feather? Feather needs to be watched?" He asked, expression suddenly becoming serious.

"i m a part of it now, yes." And just that made a nice feeling known inside of his chest. It was nice to have a family.
"Ha ha!" Kieran chuckled, sipping the drink. "I'm glad I could be of service, Ryuune." His eyes drifted down to listen to the thing babble continously, causing the numa to laugh some more.
What a strange family this is. I'm glad I get to be a part of it.

Ryuune waved a hand, "I'm glad you're glad then." He replied glibly, smiling at the blue male. Taking a cookie and nibbling on her he looked to the side of the room, "Mm...Assshe ssshould be home sssoon." He commented absently. With a sigh he turned back to the, carefully, snatching up Khilas with a paw, "GO to you feather, Khilasss." He ordered.
Instantly, the little fluff-ball zoomed away, intent on guarding it's soon to be friend. "Khilas comes, little feather!" Could be heard as he zoomed away.
Nalikai stared after the little creature, "...There's something wrong with that creature. Something's not right in his head." He laughed softly, "But who am I to judge?" He too sipped his drink, enjoying the sweet taste of it. A sudden twist of the doorknob made him turn a bit, looking to the door.
Ashe burst in, rushing through the door and nearly giving her snake companion a heart-attack. "Sssstupid! Sssstupid!" She hissed, looking around the kitchen, clearly intent on something, "That wark arrogant little--!" She snatched up a candy apple and paused, candy fruit half-way to her mouth, as she saw the others gathered around the table. ".....Oh. Kweh....Hello...."

Kieran's blue eyes met the girl's, a smile gracing his face as he noticed the similarities between her and Ryuune. This was his daughter.
"Hey there." He chuckled, waving a little. "I'm Kieran. Nice to meet you." He liked the way she talked. It was cute.

Ashe gave the newcomer a smile, "Ah! You kweh mussst be Nalikai'ssss mate!" She cried, grinning and extending a paw, "It'sss kweh ssso nice to finally meet you!" She grinned at him then suddenly scowled, biting into her candy apple vehemently. Looking at her father she smiled thinly, "Ssssory, kweh father, I have to go and meet with my kweh boyfriend." She practically spat the word, eyes filling with a mixture of anger and disgust, "You kweh don't really want to know...."
Ryuune was proud of his daughter, she had grown into such a fine strong adult just like he had hoped. He was smiling at her when she began to speak, well, that is until she said something aqbout a boyfriend. Spluttering up a storm his eyes widened, "What? Boyfriend? When? How?" He demanded, in shock. She was barely grown! How could she possibly have a boyfriend?
Nalikai stared at his niece, in almost as much shock as her father, "Ashe? What are you talking about?" He asked softly, vaguely amused by this entire event, but still concerned over it too. Was Ashe looking for trouble?

Kieran took her paw, shaking it with a cordial smile.
As soon as she mentioned boyfriend, though, Kieran stayed quiet, trying his hardest not to laugh at the way Ryuune looked when he heard this news. I guess that is what being a dad is like. He thought, sipping some more of his drink and eating a cookie or two.
"Is someone making you play along, Ashe?" He asked. "Like, they said you're their girlfriend, but you want none of that? Is that it?" His tone wasn't at all accusing, he just was wanting to figure this out before Ryuune collapsed from cardiac arrest, which was the way he was heading, really.

Ashe flinched at her father's tone, "Well....I kweh made a bit of a bet..." She began, rubbing the back of her neck sheepishly, "That if Zenith could kewh remain faithful to me for a kweh month, then kweh I would do whatever he wanted kweh for a week." She huffed and rolled her eyes, "Asss if I'm going to kweh let that happen." She shrugged and smiled thinly at them, "Sssoorry. I sssuppossse I kweh made a misstake."
Ryuune raised an eyebrow, "A "missstake" isss not what you did." He replied, voice oddly calm for a father who just found out his daughter had a boyfired, "That isss hardly what I would call it." Indeed, he had half a mind to just go and murder the boy who had designed this fiasco. However....hadn't he silently promised himself to stay out of his daughters business unless she asked? Indeed he had...but that still didn't mean he couldn't worry about her!
Nalikai sighed, paws laced together with his chind resting on them, "Ashe..." He began, and paused, blinking slowly, "Actually, I have no advice for this. It's never happened to me so I am no authority for it." He tilted his head, "Are you sure you can handle doing this?" His gaze flickered to Kieran, "There may be consequences that you can't see."

"Just be careful, is what they're trying to say. Ryuune doesn't want you to get hurt, and Nalikai wants you to keep your wits about you. Stay alert so nothing worse comes of this, alright?" He smiled, feeling like he had to translate for the younger girl. He already felt like he was her uncle, taking care of her like a member of their large family would Or, how he hoped they would.
He looked at Nalikai and smiled sweetly.

Ashe sighed, they were still treating her like a child, "I kweh know well enough what I am doing, father and uncles." She hissed, irked a bit that they were being so protective though she understand why well enough. She got that from Coatl all the time. She shrugged again, "I know, I kweh know. Jussst," She waved her hands, "Jussst kweh let me handle thisss I'm sssure I'll kweh be alright."
Ryuune held back a growl and sighed, it wasn't like he could stop her, she was an adult now and could do as she pleased even if Ryuune objected to it. "At leassst....at leassst let ussss meet him, then." He said, nodding once, "I would like to meet the...male who isss with my daughter." He winced at his statement. It had been painful to say.
Nalikai grinned despite himself at Kieran, "Yes, yes, so you understand what you are doing," He answered Ashe, "Just make sure that you don't fall for him, okay?" He grinned at her, "That would be a very cliche thing to do, don't you think?" He shrugged and gestured grandly, "And I know you are hardly the type to be cliche."

Cliche was a funny word. Kieran hated being comforming to already set normalities, since he used to be that lone wolf type.
See? A cliche stereotype right there.
"She looks like she can handle it." Kieran smiled back at Nalikai and Ryuune, trying to get the overprotective boys to calm down. Even Kieran knew when he was smothering someone too much.
Not that he smothered people anyways. Ashe just looked as though she was never let completely free in a house full of boys. Poor girl.

Ashe rolled her eyes, "Yesss, yess, father," She replied, waving a paw and taking a bit out of her candy apple. She paused, yellow eyes on Kieran. Swallowing, she dragged a stool from a corner and set it next to the table. Hopping onto its cushioned surface, she set her elbows on the table, still staring at him, "You." She pointed a finger-like talon, "I kweh like you," She looked over at her uncle, "Where'd you find him? Can I kweh have one?" She asked, smirking a bit with half-lidded eyes.
Ryuune sighed. He should have known his daughter wouldn't commit to something like this. She was his daughter after all. It wasn't his fault if he was protective of the only child he saw regularly. He knew the others were safe and taken care of but....well, he had more contact with Ashe then any of the others so he had to be more protective of her. It was a father thing.
Nalikai turned his head and regarded Kieran calmly, "It's not that we don't know whether or not she can handle it, love," He answered, looking a bit bemused, "It's the fact that we're having a bit of trouble acknowledging the fact that the first child to grow up in this house is finally becoming an adult." He grinned at the snort Ryuune gave as a response, "Come on, brother, you know you're having a hard time dealing with it too." He looked at Ashe, "There's only one Kieran that I know of, love," He pointed out, smiling, "And he's mine."

Kieran was half listening to what Nalikai was saying, but he didn't catch any of it when Ashe pointed at him and spoke about liking him. The heat that appeared in his face was probably affecting his ability to think properly.
"Unfortunately, there's only one of me. I dont have any living or nearby blood relatives, sadly. Trust me, if I did, I'd tell you, Ashe." He smiled gently, patting her hand in sympathy. "Thank you for the compliment, though."

"Nyah!" growled Ashe, shaking her head, "It figuressss! The nice onesss are kweh all gay and taken!" She banged her head against the table, "Why, oh, kweh why are the girlsss kweh left with the jerksss?" She was half-joking through this. She couldn't possibly know that all males were taken or gay; it wasn't like she had done a survey. She was still allowed to exagerate, right? Especially among her family.
Ryuune sighed and squeezed his daughter's shoulder comfortingly. He couldn't really give her advice, he had never had to deal with something like this. Ever. He wasn't qualified by any means to do such. A pity, really, when one can't even help their own child.
Nalikai sighed; well, this discussion was going to hell in a hand-basket. "Calm down, everyone," Was he trying to be the rational one? Wow, this universe was certainly twisting. "We should all try to deal with this calmly and rationally." He looked at Ashe and raised an eyebrow, "Fi you can't find a male to your satisfaction, Ashe," He pointed out, "There's always the female angle." He was merely offering a suggestion, whether or not she took him up on that, was entirely up to her. Hopefully she wouldn't attack him.

Gay or taken, eh? Well, she was right, Kieran thought. Seeing as how he was both.
Laughing as he listened to Nalikai try to be serious and offer a piece of serious advice, he turned to Ashe again, her best intrests in mind. He had to help, especially when Ryuune looked as though he was going to melt into the floorboards because he thought he was a bad parent.
"If you dont find anyone now, I think you'll find someone soon, Ashe. Boy or girl. It's not a race or anything. And you never know! You could stumble upon your true love when you least expect it." He smiled; that's what happened to the dark blue numa exactly. He felt very in debt to destiny, or fate, or whatever.

Ashe snorted and sighed, "You sssee? That'sss the kweh point!" She sighed and took another bite of her candy apple before replying, "I don't kweh want to find him, ever if kweh at all!" She growled softly, "I would be kweh even worsssse if he turned out to kweh be it!" She shook her head, "To be shackled to that-kweh-arrogant jerk and actually kweh like it--I'd---I'd die."
Clearly, with this house full of males...they wouldn't understand the complexities of this. Kieran was trying and her father was...attempting, Nalikai...well, he had experience with everything so he might have been able to help. Right now, she was sick of this enough that she just wanted to dealwith this alone.
Ryuune sighed, clearly, he was earning no points out of this whole affair. What he should do was hang back and be there for his daughter if anything happened to go down to hell when this month was over. So, with that thought in mind, he settled in to watch the conversation, and quietly sip his drink and make sure that the new additions to the family didn't have anything happen to them while they were in the house.
Nalikai well, Nalikai really had nothing to say. Kieran was being more helpful then he was, so what could he do but hang back and remain silent? And besides, he had a feeling someone was tired of having him talk and put his input in there. He'd be silent until he was asked...unwittingly just like Ryuune. Go figure.
