"Understood." *flicker* HoshiTe momentarily disappeared, revealing an almost unconscious young woman before the armor reappeared once more. HoshiTe/Eileen staggered forward towards her designated target at a zombie-like pace.

Tadashi stumbled back a few steps... away from Athan... away from Owle... away from everyone. What was left of his shirt was soaked in his blood as it continued to spill out, his left arm lay beside him on the ground, and worst of all... his cigarette was down to the filter.

"We all want to go-"

SHNKT!



An arrow pierced his back, straight through his heart. Athan was crouched low in front of him, prepared to strike, and a splatter of his lifeblood would reach that far.

"...home..."

Tadashi stumbled; barely able to remain standing but miraculously still able to walk. He took only a half dozen steps before he reached the end. The end of his time. The end of his life. The end of the world.

His right hand went to his lips, and he took one final drag upon the cigarette.

"...I'm home..."

The words trailed out of a smoke-filled mouth, and Tadashi took his last step over the edge.

And all Rage could do was watch. It was sobering, and it made him realize, along with what Hiroshi had given him, that maybe they weren't so evil. Maybe they really were just misguided.

After all, everyone just wants to go home. To be with the ones they....

"OWLE!!"

Rage's voice resounded throughout the emptiness. She was alive, that much Rage was sure of. But he was hoping she wasn't in too bad of shape. That axe from earlier must have jolted her bad.

He managed to spot her, running over to where she was.

Rage only had one moment to do this.

He started yelling into the void, as if to get a point across. The weird thing was, he paused as if there was supposed to be someone else talking when he ended his sentences.

"If you ask us who we are..."

"To prevent the universe’s destruction!"

"To bring love and honesty’s evils to light!"

"My name is Rage!"

"The pair from Team Rage V soars through the galaxy!"

The crow in his pocket cawed again.

Grabbing onto Owle like a bad action movie, Rage held onto her with his right arm, using his left to pick up Hiroshi's body. He couldn't stand to let a brother in arms die in a place like this. The samurai would get home, he was sure of it. It was not the Gaia he knew, but it was Gaia nonetheless.

"TEAM RAGE V BLASTING OFF AGAIN~"

The man's voice faded into the portal.

Stryphe would have the largest problem with this, being the closest to the edge. Once each and every strand, all of existence, had realigned itself and the platform became to disperse, Stryphe unsheilded his eyes from the light.

He could clearly everyone around the portal from here. The portal itself seemed to be expanding while the edges of the platform- s**t.

He lunged forward just before the ground beneath his feet was taken out from under him, he looked over his shoulder- marbles! That was why the platform hadn't been peirced- it wasn't a solid object. Thousands of the mysterious spheres had made this platform. Exactly what they were, Stryphe would never know. He knew they weren't his friends now, that's for sure.

As for the one he had equipped, he wasn't quite sure what would happen to it. At least he wouldn't be if he'd bothered to even think about it at this moment, instead sprinting for the expanding portal- then he stopped.

The most random, inconsequential thing had entered his mind. A wave of guilt washed over him.

That goddamn hostage!

No time, no time, no time, he'd think to himself over and over as he dashed for the car. The vehicle only had a few seconds left before it fell into the void of existence. There was no way he'd reach it in time- and his hands were full. He'd carried out the dying woman's request no matter what- but he was also set on saving the poor kid they'd brought along for the joyride earlier.

He stopped at the back of the car, near the trunk, panting in frustration, determination and -almost- panic.

Without thinking, he'd unshoulder his halberd and thrust it just under the top of the trunk. He'd push down and the frail, sportscar trunk would pop right off.

"GRAB IT NOW!" Was all he could manage to say as half the car gave away to nothingness and began to fall. Two hands, shaking, reached up and gripped the top of the halberd pole. The car fell, leaving one kids, pants still nice and wet, dangling.

"Now HOLD ON!" He yelled, turning around, shouldering the halberd, and making for the portal as the platform ground he'd just been on turned to marbles...

He gave Disa an enthusiastic nod that said "Damn, am I glad to be alive" as he made for the portal.

James pushed himself back to his feet, his head still ringing from everything. Behind him he heard shouting. In front of him he heard shouting. But... he walked towards the light.

"Beam me up... Scotty..." he said, half laughing as he stumbled into the portal and back to Barton.
