OH, HELLZ YES. >< If our BD catches us with gum, he'll literally write our name on an office referral [sp?] and then if he catches us with it again, he sends us to the office with the referral, and it won't be for chewing gum, but for "insubordination" or however the Hell it's spelled. D'= He does the same thing in colour guard. oO;;;

No food or drink in the band room at all times. If so, results in 3 days of lunch detention.
That would be a no.

We don't really get 'punished', our BD just humiliates you in front of the entire band and gives you hell about it for about the next week or so. He dosen't give detentions or anything (that's the home etc, teacher's job at my school)

We get written up and stuff, he wouldn't mind as much about that but the fact that chewing gum makes mold grow in your instrument

You get the glare. xd "Are you chewing gum? *glare*" "...*walks to trashcan*" Most people usually have an amused/ashamed look. xd She doesn't give a lecture or anything, because the people who are chewing gum already know what it'll do to their instrument...they're just stupid. :]

... it ruins your instrument. the sugar remains in your mouth even after you're done. sugar corrosion is TERRIBLE for your instrument. I've seen it. it's disgusting.
