((It means one side loses 5 attack, one side loses 5 defense, and since no one died, Riposte does not come into effect (I believe that's what it says?). One of you, go post about this critical roll in the accessorizing thread about this, if you would. Make sure to mention who loses 5 attack, and who loses 5 defense, and a link to this part of the thread.))

((ok, I'm headed off. Seeing as how realism hasn't effected this battle, I say that we should be allowed a retreat. They got to survive sure death, we should, too))

OOC, I Could one of you group-attacking gentlemen post this in the R&A thread? I'll do a single post explaining how nobody died but we got into a nice little pile-up that knocked us all out until tomorrow (or whatever best suits the situation). xd

And Skyth we have several reasonable outcomes that explain our survival. Sorry it didn't work out but thats the roll of the dice, guy. Now I'm out for realsies.)

((Hmm, what I don't get is why you guys get a +1d20 bonus as well, it's not like you guys are holding hands in perfect synergy for an ultimate defense shield of doom or anything like that. ^^;; ))
((You know what? It didn't work, I accept that. You guys still have to get out of an exploding car.))

Know Your Marbles Riposte Color: Silver If you are the victim of a Group Combo, you may respond with a normal critical attack roll in the same round against the character who initiated the Group Combo. This attack roll doesn't save you if the Group Combo kills you; however, it does give you the chance to take your enemy down with you. OOC, I However, Kell and Dun have to get going to a Deadlands game, so they won't be around for the roll. Should we just handle all this tomorrow? I think that'd be a lot easier.

((Ah. Then whoever has riposte gets the counter attack. Doesn't have to take it, especially if you're agreeing to part ways without any fatalities, but it's your right to take a counter attack against whomever initiated the group combo.))

Oliveman ((Hmm, what I don't get is why you guys get a +1d20 bonus as well, it's not like you guys are holding hands in perfect synergy for an ultimate defense shield of doom or anything like that. ^^;; )) Earlier, Oliveman also ((Roll: 10+ Aiolos: 10+ Hayden: 16+ Adam: +11+2 Attacker. 49. )) OOC, I I just did what you did, but substituted attack stats for our Defense stats. We don't have any Defender marbles, so I did the combined power of our Defense stats plus the 18 of my roll. Even if it was just my score, the appropriate counter could have been done even without taking this to a critical roll situation by virtue of using a character's base abilities, not to mention that Dunlad's character still has the Riposte marble now that it became a cumulative issue.

((Okay Okay okay, I'm just a bit frustrated.))
((We agreed with R66-y that the marble disappearence happens after the round is over. We attacked, you guys defend, round over. Riposte doesn't come into effect because you guys are too busy getting out a flaming car before the marble disappears.))

THE FERRY >> THE BEACH
Disembarking from the ferry, the members of team RAIF left the damaged boat behind and entered the Isle de Gambino... prepared, or so they hoped, for whatever they might encounter.
