A Humvee appeared out of nowhere in Old Barton. Gareth blinks for a minute, then looks at Sieg and Shiro.
Gareth: "Weren't we...how'd we...ah ******** it."
He doesn't really want to know how they suddenly appeared in the fountain area...he has a feeling that somehow a time rift was involved.
Gareth: Ignorance is bliss...right?

And there was a three children playing marbles on the street, even blocking traffic except for one lane. But they seemed oblvious to the commotion they were causing.
"We need three more people!"
"This sucks..."
"Maybe we can sucker some strangers, what with everyone looking for marbles lately."

The rain was sweet, yet it became heavy impeding Siegs vision through his desert yellow eyes. For like, the 4th time in this event Sieg would slam on the breaks before he would run over the children; narrowly escaping a vicious accident that would have put Sieg all over the news.
"HOW MANY PEOPLE MUST I NEARLY KILL IN ONE DAY?"
, sudden stop of the vehicle upon the rain water would cause a wave of water to fall down onto the children.

Gareth has a keen ear. He hears the kids plotting with one another before Sieg's outburst and the screeching of brakes and chuckles to himself.
Gareth: Tryin' to pull a scam, at that age? Dumbasses.
The next thing he does is scan the marbles the kids have, paying close attention for any reactions from his tattoo...

What was there, was a circle and 13 Marbles....in a cross formation. The center and the biggest one was glowing like no bodies business. Even though it wasn't in use.
The boys looked up, "HEY MISTER. Wanna play a game? We need three people more."

They didn't seem to care about the rain in the least. Or being wet. It wasn't like it was a bath or anything. That would have been horrible.
"A game of Ringer. All you gotta do is use a marble to shoot the big marble out of the circle." the boy yelled back. "But you gotta use your own marble! We don't have any spares."

Sieg sat quietly. Gareth despite his foul mouth seemed to be good with kids. It had yielded a marble once, maybe it will again.

Thankfully the road leveled out, so the Tercel was back to normal.
Normal as in 'sub-par' in automobile terms. Going about the roads, he looked over at the Fountain. Same fountain as seen in HoH.

"If your marble goes into the circle, it won't come out again, until someone knocks it back out." The boy shrugged, it was a game they always played. They had just gotten this pretty ringer marble recently so it seemed a good way to get a bunch of marbles to play with.
