"I do need a table, the shield won't stay without me putting energy into it." He nibbled on his wrap as he glanced over at Riley. It was only a tiny proportion of what he could channel and not difficult to maintain, but if he accidentally stopped channeling it would simply vanish. Tables were much more reliable.

"Yea yea" He laughed after swallowing a large bite of his sandwich. "I actually might have a table stashed away in my closet. I know i had an extra one that i never used"

"Really?" Kaleb asked excitedly after swallowing a bite of his lunch, grinning brightly. Riley was definitely making the office a nice place for him to study, all he would need to feel right at home is to keep some chocolate milk in the lounge refridgerator so he didn't have to portal home for his favorite drink.

"Yea. It's small so it should fit pretty good in here." He leaned back against the couch as he munched on his lunch. The deli made pretty good cheese steaks for not having a proper griddle.

Kaleb smiled, nibbling at his wrap a bit more. "It will be really nice, I-I'm glad you don't mind me studying here with you." He didn't want to be annoying, or have his presence disturb Riley while he was working, so it made him feel really happy that his partner was willing to make the office comfortable for him.

"Told ya before that i like havin'ya around." He chuckled. "Sides, if i have stuff i don't wanna do i can just you do it now." He was kidding of course but Kaleb did offer to help a lot.

Kaleb smiled more, blushing a bit at Riley's honesty. "I-I'm always happy to help, if you want me to." He didn't mind helping Riley with paperwork, things always went faster when two people were working at it.

"Right now ya can just finish yer lunch." he stuffed the last of his in his mouth and leaned over for his drink. He downed half of the bottle before he leaned back against the couch.

Kaleb nibbled a bit more, but at that rate it would take him forever to finish the wrap. "How do you eat so much so fast?" he asked, picking up his glass of chocolate milk and taking a sip before going back to nibbling at his lunch.

"Fast metabolism." He grinned. Technically it was more like he had one that would let him eat an entire grocery store in a week and still be fine but he didn't need to explain that. "I burn calories really fast so i eat a lot."

"Are you sure you just don't have an extra stomach?" Kaleb asked, smiling a bit. Usually the only thing that stopped him from eating more was how uncomfortably full he got trying to match other people's meal sizes.

"Uhm... Maybe you should get that looked at." Kaleb grinned and went back to munching at his wrap. He was maybe halfway done his meal at that point, but he could have settled back into his reading and continued nibbling at that wrap for at least another half hour.
