I agree; if Kai were to have a girlfriend, she should be a brunette. I'm not saying that just 'cause I have black hair (which at one point nearly rivaled Rei's in length); it just... looks more natural. Anything from brown to black. 3nodding

Sorry, I forgot to quantify. I mean that if Kai had a blonde/light-haired grilfriend, it wouldn't... look right. I don't know exactly how to describe it (unnatural was the best I could come up with off the top of my head). I'm not trying to put any light-haired people down; I happen to find lighter hair colors very pretty heart (Scout's honor!); I just can't see Kai getting together with someone with light hair.
And I've no idea how the idea blonde=preppy came up; that most certainly didn't come from me; I was merely agreeing that Kai's gf should be dark-haired. Then again, there are those numerous fics wherein an OC is created (usually a Mary-sue) to eventually become Kai's girlfriend in the end...and she is usually dark-haired. So... I guess we'd have to chalk this one up to stereotypes or something...
Panda, you're a natural blonde? I'd love to see a photo of you! I haven't met any natural blondes as yet. 3nodding

A blonde frightening OC Girlfriend (You KNOW the type I'm talking about. The ones who are happy all-most all the time, got a masters degree when they were three and can whip up a fourteen course meal in five minutes while providing a shoulder for Kai to cry his dark past out on) Would definitely not go down well.
However, I don't think a normal blonde girl (They exist. I swear to you) would make Kai go all "eeuw!"
Then again, Kai saying that at all would be so hysterically funny it would be worth it.
I was actually thinking that we should have a sticky of some sort with le photos. But then I got lazy XD. And then I realised I'd have to find photos of me that aren't at least 2 years old.

As for photos and stuff... I'm not really proud of the photos I have of myself right now. I'm too... weird-looking in pretty much all of them. And I'm still waiting for my staff photo [for the comic club I'm in] to come back; I was wearing my Kai outfit - complete with scarf! - in it. Thing is, it was stolen, so I don't know if I came out looking the least bit Kai-ish... xd

well the only light-haired OC gf Kai has in the fanfictions so far has green hair and purple hair...and Panda..think of poor Maxie since he is hyper and blonde...sorta bit offensive to our favorite optimistic, freckled Bladebreaker..just saying an opinion! dont hurt me....*hides*

I wasn't trying to hurt anyone here, but over half of the blonde Kai fans I meet are extremely preppy and hyper. Though that doesn't mean every blonde is. flameangel's right, a brunette would look good with Kai. I do a bunch of manga drawings and my teacher always tells me that couples have to have contrast.
