Erik of the PWG I think rap shouldn't be compared to Rock. Rap is closer to Literature and poetry than Rock and Music. If anything it's kinda vice versa. Rock is more Literature and poetry IMO. Atleast mainstream rap is. As I said before 95% of rap songs are about Women/Sex, Money, and themselves. Oh and violence, forgot that. Rock is way more diverse and if they talk about sex it's usually funny. (Atleast I think it is. xD) I think Rock independents are better than alot of mainstream. For instance: Halifax. Period. End of story. I talk no more. Senses Fail. Newer stuff aint as good as their last album but their songs contain alot of poetry and literature. Only downfall, probably the most emo band in the world when it comes to lyrics. Hellogoodbye. I liked them since before they were cool, and I have a feeling all the new fans will ruin them. Doesn't deny the fact that their songs are wicked catchy. Just a couple and even still their not even that underground or mainstream. They're in the middle. Although I hate some rock. Lamb of God is the worst thing I have ever heard in my life.

It all really depends on what a person was raised on and what they were told. If you grow up with the people around you saying "Rap sucks, listen to rock instead" that's what you'll do, and vice versa. You can't really have this discussion, especially since when it comes to music for some reason, people tend to hate with a burning passion something different instead of just accepting that it's there and ignoring it.

If you grow up with the people around you saying "Rap sucks, listen to rock instead" that's what you'll do, and vice versa. You can't really have this discussion, especially since when it comes to music for some reason, people tend to hate with a burning passion something different instead of just accepting that it's there and ignoring it. I grew up in a "rap sucks" and "wrestling sucks" environment. I still ended up being a wrestling fanatic and a rap fan boy. It wasn't until about sophmore year of highschool that I ever met any other rap and wrestling fans. I mean I love most genres of rock and I have a lot of favorite bands within the genre but my favorite is horrorcore rap and Nu Metal (the metal/hip hop hybrid). To Glue-Yes, Lamb of God sucks way too much a**.

Some guy came over to pick up my sister for a date and I wouldn't let him in the house until he told me how awsome I was. Mwahaha, or even better yet.
