Synrai had surmised as much. Such was Axys' chosen form since he had bonded with the larger Tainted. The creature with three heads was the one he had bonded with. But the third, Synrai had no recollection of. He wondered where the creature had come from, whether or not Axys had summoned it, or whether it was already here to begin with.
Axys had clearly immersed himself within the darkness of the Void. His strange features had clearly grown since the last time Synrai had seen him. It did not bode well.
He was interrupted from his thoughts by the summoner's voice, which echoed about the glade.
The sun slid up and down on the horizon like a stone skipping across water, bathing the scene in an eerie twilight. Such was the way of the sun at the edge of the world. The dragon was upon the man in an instant, icy gales leaping from his jaws, freezing the summoner's staff. But to no avail; the man quickly used his own brand of magic to release the frozen bonds, and turned to face the dragon--
"I know you are there, Silverwing," the voice sneered. Using his elemental power, Synrai felt Axys raise a claw. Something twinged within his chest, and he suddenly felt very feverish. His hold on the water magic wavered for an instant, and he fought to keep it in check. Vaguely, he heard the summoner speak again, his voice thick with contained rage. "Do you think that I have forgotten you? Why not show yourself?" The pain in Synrai's chest flared again. His head felt lighter than it should have, and had he been standing he would have dropped to his knees.
"I can give you your chance, dragon," the summoner continued. "Or I can end it now. The choice is yours to make." Synrai stood obediently, and lowered the shield about himself. He felt the pain lessen considerably as he did so. Reyen's shield, however, he doubled in strength.
Synrai cursed under his breath. He'd been a fool to chase after Axys. What had he hoped to accomplish? The summoner had obviously been expecting something like this. Synrai regretted having dragged Reyen into this situation. But he could give the older dragon a chance to flee. To tell the others what had transpired...
"Go," Synrai said simply to the older dragon, before leaping into the center of the clearing. He swiftly drew both katanas and faced the summoner.
"At last you reveal yourself," Axys drawled sardonically, "instead of fleeing like a coward." He spat the last few words, and raised his staff over his head in an offensive stance. Synrai shifted his own stance accordingly, conserving his strength until Reyen was far enough away...

Wonderfully thick adrenaline pumped through Suriken but he held himself completely still, every lithe muscle taught. He felt the effects of the summoner's words on the dragon, Silverwing and his veins only pumped harder. He tried to reach his awarness out to the dragon that remained but he could gather nothing beyond the vague image, the sense of age and calm from his first impression, through the dense protective shield surrounding it. Twirling his knives and waiting with little patience for this Silverwing to make its move Suriken was struck with a devilish thought. As Axys spoke he crouched slowly and slid his deadly knives hilt deep into the eath before him. Leting his focus center on the blades he found the balance and realeased. After a moment of harsh, blinding pain he let out a rasping sigh. The lush green and rich brown of the earth around his knives grew brittle and began to die as its lifeforce was drawn upwards through the darkness that was Suriken and out into the air around him. Soon a shallow blackness filled the area around the fellow creatures of the Void, winding around the trees and sapping away at the light, shrouding the three in an echo of night and spreading slowly outwards, feeding on itself. Just then the dragon Silverwing sprang forward.
Straightening Suriken rolled his shoulders once and took a breif moment to admire his handywork before taking his offensive stance as the knives in his hand began their twirling and a sick smile twisted its way into place. The darkness was the exact opposit of light, an almost a tandgable evil that would work on the nerves of anything with a pure mind and conceal the creatures of Father Darkness. Narrowing his focus so that only the consciousness of the two Dragons was all he could sense he formed his mind into a javeline that he could weild as deftly as his knives to crush the very will to live of any being and bind their minds to his own devises. He was more than ready to pounce but awaited to see how Axys would react.

Wyvern wasn’t hard to find. Even though he gave himself away, she would have found him quickly. Link flew in and out and around clouds, making complex weaving patterns just for the fun that was in it. She was sure to keep her distance from the other dragon so she could sneak up when the time was right. Link flew under Wyvern with fervor and jumped up to his side to give him a spook.
Afterwards, she quickly hid – changing the game from a chase to hide and seek.

[How can he sense Reyen? The shield is doubled on him...]
Reyen stood there for quite some time, debating what he should do. Should he flee and tell the others? What would that do? It was a three vs. one situation. By the time he would return Synrai would already be dead, and he would have just dragged more people into the fight. That would include Wyvern. And it this Axys fellow was strong enough to keep up with Synrai, than Wyvern stood no chance. Even with Reyen there.
However, if he stayed the odds would be better for Synrai. They could both somewhat survive. And fleeing just when a battle would start... How dishonorable. Even though Reyen was smarter that way he did still hold his pride very high. And to be brought into this situation and to flee was barbaric. Was that some sort of twisted game for Synrai? To try and crush his pride? Why was it that Synrai even allowed Reyen to follow if he was just going to tell him to flee when a fight broke out?
No, instead Reyen would stay, whether Synrai liked it or not. But he did not show himself just yet. Instead, he used his wind power to create a very subtle barrier around Synrai, who he himself would probably not be able to sense. As long as Synrai didn't do anything rash things would be alright. Reyen would not stay hidden forever though. He would have to come out if things were getting to hectic for Synrai.

Synrai felt the earth below him shrivel and die as the Tainted near Axys finished his work. What manner of creature was this? Surely no summoner could wield such crooked power as this Tainted possessed. Synrai could tell that there was no link between the creature and Axys--it had done this without the man's command. He felt the Tainted trying to pry open his shields, and twitched involuntarily--the magic was weakening.
Axys smiled at his comrade; Suriken's was excitement nearly palpable. He chuckled for a moment before continuing.
"Such a display of power, Suriken," he murmured. "And one that commands respect. But I can bring this dragon down with a word, isn't that right Silverwing?" Synrai swallowed hard. "However, let us play for a bit first. I want to see what two decades of easy living have done to soften you." Axys nodded to Suriken once, as if to say that he could join in. He pressed his staff into the withered earth, vaulting clear over Synrai's head, before bringing his staff down hard; its shaft over the dragon's neck. Synrai brought his sword up to parry the blow, before using the other to thrust at the summoner's chest.
Laughing, the summoner danced out of harm's way, casually twirling his staff. Synrai reached for his elemental magic, spraying the entire scene with mist, and for the first time, looked directly at Suriken, who was wet, but unharmed. The three headed creature stood in the background...
"Come, Silverwing," called Axys. "Entertain us!" Synrai rushed in towards the Tainted, his swords slashing at the creature's bandaged face...

Wyvern flitted through the clouds like a giant sparrow. Link had managed to find him! Well, he couldn't really be surprised about that. He was no good at hide and seek, especially given that his scales were the exact opposite of the shade of the clouds. Link blended in perfectly. Having been located, it was now his turn to search for Link. This would prove difficult...
He somersaulted about, but the white dragon was nowhere to be found. Then, he thought of an idea. Using his flame element, he allowed the air around him to heat up, which rendered the puffy white clouds opaque enough for him to see through.
He supposed that was technically cheating... Link stood out against the brighter blue of the sky, and he roared happily...
Soon, they were directly over the glade. The water shone a deep cerulean beneath them. Something glimmered within its depths, like the sheen of an emerald. Curiosity overcoming him, Wyvern pressed his wings to his sides, plummeting like an arrow into the water...

Link smiled inside as Wyvern made attempts at finding her. She could stay safely hidden under the cover of thick clouds, her pearly scales blending with the wisps and rolls. She was enjoying herself – having more fun than she’s had in a long time. Strange how the younger dragon could pull such a nonchalant side out of her. Quite the opposite of his brother.
You’re such a cheat! Link thought as Wyvern thinned the clouds to find her. She watched his movements closely, watching where he was going so she could follow. As he pulled into a steep dive, Link followed more cautiously. When Wyvern disappeared into the water, Link glided off to the shore and sat in waiting for him to resurface.

((Sorry, I had finals, forgive my inactivity)) Cavanté looked around and saw that the heard had run off, everyone had seemed to get the Noibu they went for, and no one luckily even got injured. “Alright everyone, eat only what you need, remember that we have the rest of the pack back at the cave, and with any luck we might have some leftover.” He yelled so that the rest of the pack could hear. “And our guest is free to eat his fill, one full belly won’t hurt us any.” “Cavanté-” Hene began. “Listen, he’s a guest and not a member of the pack, the pack is together because it’s a family. We are fine with just eating what we need so our family can have what they need, but it’s unfair to ask someone who is not a member of the family to make a sacrifice for the family. The difference between what one Ookami needs and what he needs to be full isn’t that big, but that difference adds up for the dozen of us. The bit of meat we lose isn’t worth our lost pride as hosts.” Hene nodded. “You’re right forgive me. In any case shall we dine?” Hene and Cavanté both took the first bites signaling the rest of the pack to start eating. They all noticed the other pack on the other side of the border, but unless they crossed that line no one was going to make a big deal out of it.

Wyvern swam deeper into the water. The pool was very very deep, and at its bottom it emitted a faint green glow that the young dragon had never seen before. The glow obscured the bottom of the pool, making the water opaque. The glow was centered around an orb of light, like a miniature star.
How curious, Wyvern thought. What was it? He decided to resurface again to tell Link. Kicking and squirming his way clumsily to the surface, (he wasn't that great of a swimmer) Wyvern leaped from the pool, landing near the white dragon on the shoreline. He unfurled his wings and shook off the dead weight of water before shifting form and speaking. He would have stayed in his draconic form while talking, but he didn't think that Link could sign anything very well while she was a dragon.
"There's something down there that I've never seen," he said, looking up at the white dragon. "It's some kind of weird glow. It was never there before." He gazed at Link quizzically, wondering what she thought of the whole thing...

[[No problem, biggrin . Finals are a pain.]]
Apollo looked to Cavanté before settling down to eat.
"I thank you for your kindness," he said, "but I shan't need all that much to sate myself. You needn't worry that you will lose the extra meat on my account." He gazed at Hene, nodding respectfully, before tentatively lowering his head to begin the meal. Once he had started in, though, he quickly finished. There was no sense in wasting any time out here on the tundra, and besides, he was used to eating fast.
Like the rest of the group, he noted the other pack of Ookami, but since Cavanté didn't seem to care, he didn't worry. Apollo was one of the first to finish his meal, and sat patiently as everyone else ate...

As Wyvern came back to the shore and changed forms, Link did the same. ‘Listening’ to what the boy was saying, she gazed to the water. Something glowing in the water? That wasn’t normal. She looked back into Wyvern’s eyes, seeing his curiosity and want to investigate – as he always did.
“I don’t know.” She signed uneasily, “From what you say, I’ve never seen anything like it. I’m not sure if you should pursue something so shrouded in mystery. It is not wise. We would be better off leaving it alone.”
Link ‘said’ all this out of concern, mostly for Wyvern’s safety instead of her own. She could handle herself in most situations when Wyvern still had much to learn. Plus – Synrai would eat her alive if anything happened to his little brother.

Wyvern was a bit disappointed at Link's unwillingness to go investigate the strange thing at the bottom of the pool. He knew she probably was adamant about going exploring. Nevertheless, he persisted. After all, it hadn't attacked him or anything when he had investigated it from a distance.
"I don't know," he continued, "it didn't seem dangerous to me. Just a glowing light. Couldn't hurt just to take a closer look, could it?" He gazed at Link hopefully. In all honesty, he was planning on leaping back into the water anyway--if not today, then tomorrow--but it would be nice to explore with a friend.
He thought back, trying to place where he had seen something like this before. The light seemed very familiar, a feeling that only fueled the young dragon's curiosity.

((Sorry, I did not mean to suggest Suriken could sense through the shield, he was only using and trying to build on the vague impression he gathered from before, I just mistyped what I ment to say xd . Thats fixed now!))
Silently Suriken bent backwards as Silverwing slashed at his face. As the weapon arched just inches above Suriken balanced himself on his back foot and slammed his knives onto the blade of the weapon, guiding its momentum effortlessly away. Twisting so that he would move aside from the diverted blade he manuvered himself so that he could slide around the side of the dragon. As he did so he leaned as close as he dared and whispered mockingly, "Yes little bright wing, dance as a broken puppet should." Spinning away he gave a half bow, "Ssevered strings serve little purpose in the dance of darkness that is life." Positioning himself so that he could defend himself against an attack from either dragon Suriken relished the chill of his wet clothes, soothing the dull fire that filled his veins from his earlier trick.
Directing the meaning of his words to Axys but keeping his attention on Silverwing he cackled, "Broken indeed. How can this be a pawn for Father Darkness?" Yes, break its sense of righteousness and crush it with the power of the Lord of the Void. His voice never rose above a quiet speech but his words were infused with powerfull tendrils of his willpower, seeking their way into the pure mind of the dragon. "Pitiful. Fall now Silverwing, bow to your betters and save yourself dismemberment."
The mist infused with the shadows created an eerie fog. It was hard for Suriken to discern between his dislike for the touch of it or the confounding sense of its conflicting natures. The knives twirled in his hands and his muscles remained tight. This battle of sorts would be interesting to say the least.

Axys grinned wickedly, his green eyes flashing in the thick mist that had accumulated around them. Yes, all was going according to plan, at least for the moment. Indeed, the dragon's strength seemed to have weakened over the years. It was plain that the wound Axys had given him long ago had taken its toll, yet there was something else that intrigued the summoner even more. He took note, and decided to incense Silverwing further; at the same time, responding to Suriken's question.
"My Lord has plans for this one," he said cryptically. "He needs someone whose body is strong. But perhaps if Silverwing is unfit, his brother will be more suited to the task." Axys considered for a moment: the younger dragon was naive, and would be easy to control. If Silverwing fell here, then the whelp would be next...
Synrai yelled incoherently, deflecting Suriken's spinning knives with several successive hits of his paired blades. He leaped high over the Fallen's head towards a tree at the edge of the glade, extending a hand below him. Crystals of ice formed in the mist surrounding Suriken, and as Synrai closed his fist, the ice shards shot towards their target. Twirling about, he thrust his katanas into the tree, pivoting around so that he knelt with his feet pressed to the trunk, a hand on the hilt of each blade.
He immediately kicked out and dislodged the swords, shooting like a spear towards Axys, and extending his swords before him, intent on impaling the summoner. Axys sidestepped just in time to avoid being skewered, but Synrai's blade barely grazed the man in the shoulder. Synrai skidded to a halt behind Axys, and rushed in again. Staff and swords met in a shower of blue sparks. Synrai's teeth clenched in anger as he drove the summoner back, his interlocked blades misting over as the accumulated water over them began to freeze. The temperature within the glade had plummeted, and the light mist had become a full-fledged fog through which any other person would be hardpressed to see. Synrai sensed with his water magic a trickle of black-tinged blood lacing its way down the summoner's arm...
"I see I've made you angry," Axys hissed; but he wasn't smiling anymore. "Does the whelp really mean that much to you?" He altered the pressure on his staff, bringing the shaft under the crossed blades. With an almighty wrench, he flung Synrai over into the center of the glade again, where the dragon landed effortlessly on both feet, his blades still spinning around him like a pair of silver wings...

Link looked to Wyvern’s eager eyes and sighed.
“Alright.” She ‘said’, making sure her motions showed her uneasiness, “Go ahead. I’ll be right behind. If anything happens, though, I get to blame you when Synrai has to pull us out of this.”
Link began wading into the water, staying in her human-like form. She was a much faster swimmer this way. She waved to Wyvern and nodded towards the center of the water.
“You lead.”

Suriken crouched downwards even as the ice began to form and lunged upwards, swinging his legs forward and arching his back. Flying through the air in an inhuman backflip the tainted bent his neck to see shards of razoredged ice thrusting upwards at angles that would have sliced him to ribbons in seconds. This Silverwing was powerful when furious but he had given Axys exactly what he wanted. He had proven that the dragons kin would be an ultimate source of bait and an irritant that would lead to carelessness. A foolish mistake that it would pay for.
Completeing one full turn in the air Suriken landed on one foot just inches in front of one of the trees but remained still for only an instant before shooting off into a tight circle sprint around the tangled mass of jutting ice. The chill in the grey air had little effect on him but the moist touch of it created within him a deep sense of unease that he tried to banish even as it worked to cloud his subconscious senses. With knives twirling he moved to rush in but stopped as the dragon was thrust backwards and the bitter tang of the summoner's blood infused with the mist. For an instant his sight went black. Jerking to a halt he let out a grunt as he battled within himself, fighting against the raging urge to destroy the summoner. He took one step towards Axys with blades raised but convulsed to a stop. It was like a firestorm searing his mind but with intense effort it was quelled and repressed. Not yet, he thought, no. It was too soon, he was still unsure of its powers. Not yet. Not yet. Tossing his head he jerked his attention back to the dragon with a shrug of his shoulders. Not yet. Carefully channeling some of the rage he had built up just a moment before Suriken lunged at the blade twirling creature, striking out with the intense fury of his mind even as his knives lashed outwards thirsty for blood.
