No. It doesn't really mean anything, it's just something some crackhead came up with.

I found Yin/yang symbolism in 'The Puppetmaster!' I don't think it's been posted yet, but I apologize if it has.

Do you see it? The part were the flowers are dead is like yin, and the part with the water and living flowers is like yang.

>.> Or am I just crazy? Again?

Edit: Forgot to mention how this related to Zuko and Katara. xD

Okay, so the flowers are red and, as far as I can remember, only grow in the Fire Nation. This shows the life side of fire, and the yang in the picture. The dead flowers show how water can destroy, and is the yin part. Together, it shows fire and water in harmony (the living flowers need the Fire Nation's warm climate as well as water to survive), and in conflict (the waterbending is sucking the life out of the flowers, going against its healing nature).

Does that make sense?
Woo, that's a complex one! O.o

I don't know if they meant anything by it...but that's a pretty neat observation^^

Yeah, that's a great analysis. It's pretty understandable, too.

I forgot to mention this, but apparently there's two eclipses this year; a solar eclipse and a lunar eclipse. =o

If that's not a sign, I don't know what is.

Aunt Wu looks to the universe for signs, too, and she's pretty accurate. =D

you know, i have been chewing on this for a while:

katara's hair.

i just assumed that she would go back to the hair braid and hair loppies after the invasion. but as seen from the firebending masters and western air temple, she hasn't. its more of a meld between her water tribe style and FN style. actually, it looks more like her mother's style (as seen from the swamp).

so who cares right? well, the progression of her hair styles illustrates her progression in maturity. think about it, how girlish did she look with the braid and hair loopies, and how womanish does she look now, with the combo of down with loopies?

i think it just shows that she is getting more mature, which deviants her away from aang and towards zuko's maturity level.

Ooh, I never noticed that! You're right though, it is a bit of a mix, and it does look more mature.

Very interesting little theory you have here. ^.^

So I'm not the only one who noticed that her hair has changed into more of a mix of her first two hair styles! I really love how you applied it to her maturity! Very nice connection^^

okay so i saw the movie last night "stranger than fiction" very good movie, i recommend it.

anyways, in one part of the film, an english literature professor is talking to the main character (whose life is being narrated by some random female voice) about what type of story he is in

excerpt:

Quote:
Hilbert: The last thing to determine conclusively is whether you are in a comedy or a tragedy. To quote Italo Calvino, ‘the ultimate meaning to which all stories refer has two faces: The continuity of life, the inevitability of death.’ Tragedy, you die. Comedy, you get hitched. Most comic heroes fall in love with people who are introduced after the story has begun. Usually people who hate the hero initially. Although I can’t imagine anyone hating you, Harold.

Harold: Professor Hilbert, I’m an IRS agent. Everyone hates me.

Hilbert: Right, right. Good. Have you met anyone recently who might loathe the very core of you?

Harold: I just started auditing a woman who told me to get bent.

Hilbert: Well, that sounds like a comedy. Try to develop that.

i find it hard to believe that atla is a tragedy, given the choice of either a comedy or a tragedy, as the literature philosopher (italo calvino) is quoted for saying.

Ooh, that's interesting. =o I've never though of Avatar as a tragedy, either, but I guess, when I think about it, it does fit.

Italo Calvino better be right. D<

You're right. It is like a tragedy. It has alot of sad topics, though I love the drama in it all. It makes the characters seem so alive when they tell about serios past experiences. I want to hear about Iroh's trip to the Spirit World. =3

I hope so, too!!
