"Remain there for as long as you can. Help will arrive soon; it would do you no good to have the cavalry arrive and not know where you went."
Strange. Kiana had always thought her death sentence would have been accompanied by the dark clanging of a single bell. A moody chime, at the very least. With a sigh, she let her head fall back against the building she was leaning against. She had been forced to land her starfighter in the port, but managed to slide by paying the fee. The mechanic, on the other hand, had more than made up for it--the exorbitant fare he demanded had made her regret the Jedi law to not use the Force for evil.
The Squib-lover deserved just a little evil. Just a little, mind.
Taking a pull from her canteen, Kiana mulled over her plans of action. So, she was to receive support, was she? From what Adi could tell her, a squad of clone troopers. Not as welcome as, say, another Jedi, but they would do. Hopefully.
Reporting to Adi had been a chancy thing indeed. For a while, Kiana had feared communication was impossible, but the HoloNet had not failed her. The portable holocam in her pack had been a bit spotty, but with enough curses and grumblings, it had yielded to her authority. It had taken her almost an hour to connect with the Jedi Master, but she had managed it.
Kiana pursed her lips, a sudden pang of anger rising in her. Adi had had to remind her as to why she was there in Tatooine! Kiana wasn't sure how, but she had somehow completely forgotten her purpose! Even that she had seen the target! Adi had theorized that their opponent had somehow mastered the art of Mind Affect, which appalled Kiana. That was a very difficult power to control, indeed--if the Sith had used it against her so easily, how strong in the Force was he?
Fortunately, Kiana's desperate message had gotten through. Adi had been able to divine a meaning of Kiana's mind-fogged babble, and that in turn had led to the summoning of the clone troopers. All in all, a fortuitous turn for the Jedi Knight. One of the few since she'd landed on this Light-forsaken planet.
However, there was no way to instantaneously transport the clone troopers to her side right at that moment. Kiana groaned inwardly. Now all that remained was to play a very, very dangerous game of cat and mouse. Adi had been able to quickly instruct Kiana in the ability to dampen her outsourcing of the Force, so it would be difficult for the Sith to pick her power up from more than a few paces away. Even so, there were only a few choices for cover, and the Sith was bound to pick them all clean eventually.
Except, perhaps..... Kiana smiled. Her mentor's voice floated through her mind again: "The best place to hide is right in plain sight."

"Echo Squad, we need to move quickly. The Jedi's ship has just landed in Mos Eisley." Advisor's hologram was full of static, but his voice was clear. "We have recieved most disturbing news, so the Jedi may not be our biggest priority. A group of Commandos reported in from the area, they say that a Mandalore from thousands of years ago is still alive. Mandalore Canderous Ordo." Adenn shifted uncomfortably. "You must investigate this. Though we are clones, we are still Mandalorians, as our Mandalorian friends remind us. They also reported the last Mandalore and our DNA contributor, Jango Fett, travelling with him. We believe Fett is keeping his past as Mandalore secret, but as there is no current Mandalore, Ordo would hold this title. Land and find the Jedi. They will go after her."
Only minutes later, Echo was already on ground. The examined the Jedi's ship, and decided it was indeed hers. Now to find her. "Alright, Echo, you know what the Mandalore helmet looks like, so keep an eye out. The Jedi will most likely be hiding, but the Sith will find her. We have orders to reveal ourselves to her when we find her." Nods of acknoweledgement all around, Echo Squad went out to search the city, hoping to find her before the Sith Lord.

People were everywhere.
No, that was an understatement. Beings of almost every conceivable race were crammed into any available open area, continually jostling and shouting for a better position. The noise was almost unbearable, what with the PA system blaring all around, but it suited her purposes. Here, she would stay until the troopers found her. It would not be too difficult to see them coming; where she blended into the crowd, armored troopers would part the masses like a hot knife through butter. More importantly, should a certain Sith in black robes show up, she would be able to pick him out almost immediately. No one else could bear wearing dark colors in this heat. She would be safe until nightfall, when the crowds departed. But she would deal with that when the time came.
Kiana smiled, rather proud of herself. Search all you want, Sith. You'll find a colony of Dashade before you find me here, she mused.

Darth Drago felt a disturbance, several hours after the group's meeting. Mandalore sat nearby, meditating as well. This he had learned from Drago, that meditating let you simulate attacks and battle strategies faster than any conceivable battle circle. Visas sat next to Drago, and put her hand on his leg as she felt the loss of the Jedi. "My master... she is... dead?" Visas inquired curiously, halfway relieved. "No. She is hiding herself. I still know where she is, but I cannot seem... to... dammit. I lost her." He said quietly. The Jedi had evaded his sight, after four thousand years of pinpointing individuals from across the galaxy. "She is strong, this one. Not to mention overly intelligent. Jango?" Darth Drago demanded. "You are to scout the area. If any clone transponder codes enter the area, especially commandos, head back to the ship as fast as possible. A very, very powerful clone has just landed. Four, to be exact. Adenn is his name, I believe. He is also... strong willed. Strong minded. Possibly stronger than you. I want you to keep your eyes peeled, bottomline." He said. In reality, he had seen inside of the commando's mind... and what he saw actually made him shudder inside...

((Nice. You said I get a jetpack, right?))
The armored group marched through the city looking for the Jedi. They knew she was hiding, but they were around Jedi long enough to know when they were near. Adenn remembered the words of a Twi'Lek Jedi Master they were in charge of protecting. The Force flows through all life, even clones such as yourself. While Force-Sensitives can easily sense when others are strong in the Force, anyone can learn to in certain situations. It is even thought that as one is around a strong Force User, their connection with the Force strengthens.
Before he could reflect on this for long, however, he felt it. She was near. It was faint, perhaps she was trying to hide her presence in the Force, but it was there. Bullseye seemed to have the same feeling. Adenn wasn't suprised, the hunter always had very accute senses. "Hold up, Echo Squad. The Jedi is closeby. Keep your eyes and ears open. I have a bad feeling about this..."

Jango squatted low on the roof of a building. Ever since he had been a boy, he had wondered what it was like to die... every time he came and left Tatooine, he felt that. The lack of something, something important. The fresh smell of death. Decroted metals. All of these factors led up to the conclusion that life was just as close to ending as several hours in a cockpit. Jango Fett sighed as he shifted slightly. As he did so, something caught his eye; the glint of Mandalorian armor. Something triggered in his mind as he realized that it was a Clone Commando. Slowly, he pulled his E-11 blaster rifle from his back. By the time he had set it to stun, the clones had stopped below. His heart began to pound halfway out of his chest as he pointed the weapon at the leader, squeezed his eyes tight, and pulled the trigger.
Jango was back at the ship, breathing hard and panicking. "They're here! The Clone Commandos are here, armed, and in pursuit! We need to... get the hell out of here!" Jango said in a stuttering squall. No time in his life was he this fearful of his own DNA, much less his own bretheren. He had no idea why he was afraid; the Commando was surely not that large, they were identical. No. More than identical. The same. But why was this clone different? Why did he strike fear into his heart so easily? Was it his armor? No again. Moments later after this thought he had realized that it was something psycological. Something powerful that sucked his mind into oblivion where it was ripped apart by vibroblades. It scared him. To death.

"Did we hit him at all?" Adenn asked the group, not much memory of the attack. He heard gunfire, and his reflexes took over. He rolled out of the way of the blaster bolt, then remembered opening fire along with his squad at the figure of someone wearing Mandalorian Battle Armor. It must have been Jango, there aren't many Mandalorians left, and even fewer wear the armor in public. "Nevermind, Bullseye, follow him, but don't let him see you. We need to find the Jedi now!" Adenn fired his DC-17 into the air, trying to scatter the residents. He hoped the Jedi would show herself to them while the crowd ran for cover. "This is official Republic business, clear the area! Return to your homes, you are in danger!"
Bullseye was already after Fett. He was an excellent tracker, so he had no doubt he could follow his trail. It was this kind of work that he loved. The thrill of the hunt, tracking prey on a hostile world, full of harsh weather and fierce predators. He remembered his last trip to Tatooine, when he hunted a Greater Krayt Dragon. But this prey was even greater.

Sometimes, Kiana could swear that some omnipotent being was out to get her. There she was, enjoying her cover and mingling in the crowd of podracer fans, and someone had to go and screw it up.
Kiana whirled, her heart in her throat, as the sound of blaster fire reached her ears. The Sith couldn't have--!
Her fears were partially unfounded. There was a figure fleeing on the rooftops, and another group was racing after him. One of them was shouting something to the crowd. She managed to catch the word "Republic," and for the first time in days, her heart soared with hope. The Commandos!
Kiana raced after the group, determined not to lose them. The crowd was making things difficult. She was the only one running toward the action; everyone else had the good sense to stay away. Kiana was forced to shove her way through the mass of bodies, fighting to keep her eyes on the clones. She gave a sharp curse as she realized they were about to leave in pursuit of the fleeing figure.
Out of options, Kiana did the only thing she could. She abandoned hiding in the Force, using her powers to gently nudge people out of the way. This process made things much easier, and within moments she was racing along behind the Commandos, her path clear.
"Commandos! Wait!" she called, bounding after the retreating figures.

Adenn felt the faint presence grow many times larger. Much stronger than he had felt before this day. He knew the Jedi must have seen them. He turned to see a robed figure rush through the crowd, people near her falling aside from some unseen force. The Force. It had to be the Jedi.
Adenn lowered his weapon and raised his hand to greet her. "The Jedi is here. Bullseye, keep comms open. Alert us to where Jango went when you can.", Adenn said into his helmet's built-in commlink. When the Jedi was close, he spoke up. "Master Jedi, we are here for your protection. We were told that a Sith Lord is after you, what information can you give us?" His voice was the same as most Commando unit leaders. The same as their "father," Jango Fett.

((Welcome! Your profile is accepted and remember; be literate, be StarWars.... oh, and Darth Lava? WTF??!!!)) HK-47 stood in a window high atop a building. Nothing could be seen significant after Jango had ran past. That was, until a Clone Commando. He was crutched down, scrambling across the ground as quick as an animal. At fist HK's circuitry was a little off; how could some meatbag move at any equivelance with a creature? But nonetheless, he got ready to fire. His traps were set, everywhere. His hand hovered over the control until the clone made one mistake.
Bullseye had stepped on a trigger.
Fire and shrapnel rained from all directions. Mines from below and trip cords adjacent to a man's knee. Not to mention the PPLs, or Proximity Projectile Launchers. These were outlawed Old Republic security traps, normally used to protect spice runners and smuggler hideouts. But in this case, the mines held nerve gas and thermal detonators. Before Bullseye could react, wires entangled him as he was pelted with explosives. After the damage had been done, HK cautiously made his way down the stairs to the body. The only thing is that Bullseye wasn't unconsious, much less dead. When HK crouched down near the body, the real Bullseye stepped out of the shadows. "I don't know where you came from or how a 4000-year-old droid came back from the scrapyard, but I do know that you are one dead trashheap." Bullseye said as he shot HK in the gut with his DC-17. HK fell to the ground, but before Bullseye could return to his hunt he was spotted.... by Mandalore himself.

((Over 100 posts, nice.))
Sir, you'll want to check this out. Sending coordinates.
The text appeared on Adenn's HUD, it was from Bullseye. Tech and Pyro got the same message, and exchanged looks. Adenn signalled to them, and they went off in the direction of Bullseye. One of them had to stay and protect the Jedi, and all of Echo knew who would be best qualified. He wasn't leader for nothing.

Jango Fett sat inside of the ship, wondering to himself why this clone had scared him. As he did so, Mandalore ran in through the door. "Sir, a Clone Commando or whatever they're called just took down HK! It's impossible! He wasn't shivering at all like Jango, but he was slightly off a bit. Darth Drago turned to him and said grimly, "Grab HK. We're getting off of this hellhole. Jango, I want you in your ship so that you can travel along with us." His head rotated to Atton. "Call the Sith fleet. Tell them to make a perimeter around Korriban; then set coordinates for Korriban so that we can leave." He said as Jango got up and walked out of the Ebon Halk. He trotted quickly to his private docks where he started his ship. Mandalore watched Bullseye cautiously as he waited for him to leave, although out of sight. 'My own bretheren, turned against me... just like old Mandalorian Civil Wars...' He thought angrily. Mandalore unholstered his disintegrator ray. 'Just... like the Mandalorian Civil Wars...' He thought again. Brenna walked up beside him and frowned. "We are not only outnumbered, the odds are not in our favor..." She said equally as grim as Drago. Darth Drago, meanwhile, was getting ready for a final fight. He stepped out into the desert air and looked about. Then he jumped up to a building and began to bathe himself in the darkside of Mos Eisley.

Kiana pulled up to a stop next to the Commando, scowling at him. "What are you doing?" she demanded. "He's getting away!"
Without another word, she took off after the other Commandos, growling to herself. Now things had come to a head. The Sith's underlings would do battle with the Commandos, but if the Sith himself joined the battle.... Worry increased her speed. She would not let any of her party die on her watch.
She eventually reached the other members of her group, her mouth set in a determined line. "Where are they? Did you see which way they went?" she demanded.

As all of the people sent to take care of the Commandos came back, Atton started to rev the engines. "Our position has been given away, we need to leave now!" He yelled at Drago. Darth Drago frowned and nodded. "We need to get out of here." He said, picking up the com-link. "Jango, set course for Korriban." He commanded. Jango complied with a grunt as he started his ship and took off. Darth Drago stepped out of the Ebon Hawk in order to spot anyone coming for his shipmates. He could easily take on the Clones, but the Jedi would pose maybe a minor problem. He hoped. But when a yell sounded from the ship, his heart stopped.
They were out of fuel.
It had been siphoned by some damn smuggler, perhaps a slave. Whoever did it would be killed. He looked around in horror at his surroundings, and then spotted some boy running through the streets with a barrel in his arms. Drago growled angrily, but decided he wouldn't worry about it. He had bigger problems, like getting off of the deserted rock.
Meanwhile, in the ship, Atton was talking to a ship commander. "Yes, we need... no, not... dammit! Listen to me, I don't want you to... okay... yes, no more than six hours... what? NO! Not Telos, that's almost as bad as this hellhole! You know what? You know-- yeah, never mind. We'll fix the ship ourselves." He said darkly as he turned to T3, who was happily making routine repairs. "Alright... c'mon T3, we've got work to do. And tell Mr. Dark-and-spooky to get off of his a** and help." He said without argument. T3 beeped in agreement as he rolled out of the ship. T3 pulled on Drago's cloak and beeped his instruction. Darth Drago nodded as he told Mandalore, Brenna, Visas, and HK-47 to get on the rooftops and protect them. The maintenance wasn't as simple as it sounded; the little shutta had also taken several of the ship's main takeoff components. Atton dug into his pocket and revealed a fusioncutter, plasmablade, repair torch, and several miscellaneous parts. "Well... T3, Drago, we've got work to do. T3, go into the ship's holding bay and see if you can find anything that looks remotely like a ship part." Atton said with a passion of his job. Drago smiled as it all came back to him... every connection, every little part.
