I don't know what the theme of our show is gonna be yet. I'll know when summer band starts. Hopefully I'm in the show. A couple of weeks ago at May camp we had evaluations on our marching skills and that's how the band directors choose who's gonna be in the show. I'm an 8th grader who will be a freshman in marching band, so yeah it's my first year in it ^_^;;

Last year we did Joy which was basically a bunch of songs that had 'Joy' in the title >.<

This year we are doing 'Rhap-city' and thought I can't remember the names of the songs of the top of my head (cause we literally found out tonight) it's going to be awesome.

Edit:
Mvmts. for Rhap-city:
the Planet Krypton
Back to School
In a Gentle Rain (Finally a ballad I like)
Constuction

Mvmts. for Joy:
Intro (It really didn't have a name cause it was a bunch if tunes with the word 'joy' in them. Ode to Joy, etc.)
Olimpiada
Cider House Rules
Joy

Non Timebo Mala

Mon Dieu! Coincidence!
It was such a great show...I lost the foot joint of my flute at state with that show! :}

I'm glad to hear that. With the introduction my BD gave, I didn't seem to excited.

Oh, yeah, I thought it was loads of fun!
I really loved the music, and the show in general, our arrangement was pretty cool.
We did Reve Rouge facing back field! And visuals in Urban!(that's where I lost my foot joint)

Wow...you're not, by any chance, from a band in Iowa?

No. :[ I'm in Georgia. BLEGH GEORGIA.

Aww, well, I was just thinking that cos there were like two bands in Iowa who did that show the same year as we did.
Well...one of 'em was from Minnesota or somewhere like that...

Our band is doing music from Carmina Burana this year. We previewed part of it and it sounds awesome!

This fall it was Pirates of The Carribbean! This comming year it's going to be music from the movie "Dreamgirls", but I'm graduating, so I'm just helping with guard basics.

Our show is 'Simon & Garfunkel'. my director is writing the music himself, and told us that the first movement is going to be at 176. It'll be AMAZING if we can pull that off right |D;

LMFAO now that I know more about our show I can make this more correct.

the music is based off of Simon & Garfunkel but the show itself is called Square, Circle & Triangle. (I THINK) lawl OKAY GROOVER WHATEVER YOU SAY. D;

We are playing Celestial Bodies by Mark Higginbotham. It is different than most of the stuff we have done.

Wanna Hear it? Click here biggrin

I am pretty excited, the guard gets to dance with the trumpets. It should be LOADS of fun
