"Oh really? I've not spent much time in the company of elves personally. How long does the festival last? It sounds like something that would go on for a few days or so."

"The festival will officially go on for a moon, but the actual feast days are spread out over that time. There will be other contests, singing, music, and other various arts and entertainment. Oh, and combat competitions, archery, swordsmanship, magic duals; it's pretty exciting." Kelwyn's eyes sparkled as she described it, and she almost forgot the fight that was going on just a stone's throw away.

"Well, it sounds like a real blast. Would I be able to join you at this festival? As I have no where to be and I wouldn't mind a nice break from traveling." He had a relaxed smile as he litened to her. It was obivous that he enjoyed hearing everything she had to say.

At this question the elf woman chewed her lip thoughtfully. "Well visitors are welcome... I'd have to find some place for you to stay, but... I don't see why not. I may have to do a lot of translating for you, though." Kelwyn smiled, "Unless of course you speak Elven."

"No, I don't speak elven, though it does sound as though it's going to be a long journey, you could probably teach me along the way. I think I'll be a able to leanr it. I havn't tried learning a lamguage before and as l know some words by the time we get there it won't be too bad."

Crim` Skylicker Katastrophy Kat hit the ground in a crouch, just as the explosion burst through th bookshelf above her. The bookshelf slowed it's topple as it hit the shelf behind it, causing a domino effect, but it left Kat with very few options as to where to run. Kat sprinted clear of the falling bookcase, grabbing her gun along the way. Luckily, the bookshelf wasn't long, since it hadn't knocked over the ones in the same row. As soon as Kat was clear of the falling shelf she turned around and crouched, shooting at what she thought was Crim through the storm of flying pages. He would approach in a low dash, the pain of his leg only serving to anger him and intensify his stride. Crim` raised his right hand in front of him, a bullet zooming past his head as he ran at Kat using the awkward cover of the flying pages for his advance. He'd dive toward her through the hovering, floating pages, roll, and then attempt a quick grab of her shirt with his left hand while still partially crouched, coming to a sudden halt in front of her, undoubtably in her gun's sights. A risky manuever but one that, if ending as he predicted, would leave his free right hand right in her face as he pulled her closer by her shirt. The hand would be ready to release the pent up energy within to lethal effect, a definite way to sway the catgirl from pulling the trigger a second time. The paper's hid Crim's movement for long enough that by the time Kat had a clean shot at his head, he'd already grabbed her shirt and thrust his hand in her face. She blinked around his hand, her gun still trained on him. Assuming his eyes were on her gun, she kicked out one leg, aiming to knee Crim in the crotch as she fell backwards, stopping her fall with her free hand.

She blinked around his hand, her gun still trained on him. Assuming his eyes were on her gun, she kicked out one leg, aiming to knee Crim in the crotch as she fell backwards, stopping her fall with her free hand. He'd leap back quickly and let go of her shirt in the process to avoid the knee to the family jewels. This was a bit of a bad move as being faraway from her was a hazard due to her superior long range weaponry, however he saw it as an even trade in that split second, his gut instinct more inclined to protecting such a... vital spot. Blood dripped from the wound on his leg as his feet touch down roughly on the ground and he stumbled back a few steps. He reached into his belt again and threw another small throwing knife at Kata, aimed for her leg in the same spot that she had earlier stabbed him.

Kat, having missed her kick, had taken the extra momentum to somersault backwards into a crouch as Crim caught his balance. However, this left her in a bad position as Crim's knife came flying at her leg.
Fast as she was, she was in too close of quarters to completely dodge the knife. She leaned to the side to evade it and the knife half-grazed/half-hit her leg, leaving a large, messy wound that quickly stained her white pants red.
Kat dropped to her a** on the floor in pain, but quickly got her gun up and fired two shots at Crim's chest. She paused a moment to steal a glance at her leg, then fired another shot at Crim angrily. She was now remembering why she didn't wear white.

Crim` smirked as she fell on her a**. He had drawn blood and could tell he was really starting to get to her which was good, he seemed to have a morbid curiousity to just how chaotic the renowned 'Mistress of Chaos' could get.
He reached to a hidden sheath on his back above his waist and quickly drew one of his 12 inch fighting knives, spinning it on his finger stylishly. As he did this the glow of his right hand began to fade as he let it power down, and he reached to the front of his jacket, unzipping it quickly. His eyes widened when he noticed Kata about to fire and he tossed his knife into the air above him with a flick of his wrist, spinning around and out of the way of the bullets while simultaneously removing his jacket and swinging it into the direction of the oncoming bullets as if he were a bullfighter. The bullets would collide with the jacket in a thud and he would use the momentum of his spin finally to release the heavy leather jacket and let it fly in Kata's general direction, the right sleeve flying off of his right arm just as he caught his now falling knife behind his back with his left. He would not pause, breaking into, infact, almost falling into a quick low dash at her again, zig-zagging left and right and finally slashing at her horizontally from his left side with the large knife, a slightly upward slash.

Kel smiled, "Yes it would be quite useful. I can at least try... I'm not much of a teacher, but there are some phrases it wouldn't hurt you to know." After this, their conversation lulled a bit as the elven woman's attention was drawn back to the fight that was quickly growing increasingly deadly. "So, I don't suppose it would do any good to try to get them to stop... do you suppose we should stay and watch for casualties, or should we leave them alone?"

"I don't think there are any other people around. The only other person I saw, was over by them and I think he can take care of himself. At least that's the feeling I got by the way he held himself and the conversation between the three of them went." He looked back over at the fight watching as it started to get dangerous. "I think the only other people in this town are all machines."

"Machines?" Kelwyn echoed, a visible shiver going through her. "I never did get used to those things. I like being around things that are at least breathing." She glanced at the fighting duo, then over to the quieter nook that Migy had indicated when she first arrived at the library. "I think I'm going to do some reading. I've been walking all day and I need a break, even if it is nearby those two. Would you care to join me?"

"I would have to agree with you on being around things that are living." He said as he rolled onto his knees before standing. "I will accept your invitation as well." He cracked his neck softly and bowed waiting for her to lead the way.

Kelwyn carefully made her way through the debris and to the unspoiled part of the library. Idly glancing at the tomes as she walked by them, she grabbed a book seemingly at random, and settled down in an overstuffed couch in a forgotten corner. Gilt letters down the spine of the book she opened indicated that it was a history of Aekea.

He slowly followed her to the quietly part of the library. Sitting on the other side of the couch he reached over and grabbed a book off of a shelf that was near by. Looking over the book it appeared to be a book on the geographical area. He looked over the maps and area descriptions carefully.
