Xennik was in a happy state of bliss. He likely could have stayed this way for days without complaining. He could feel a shiver run down her spine and smiled to himself, realizing that he was having this affect on her. His body seemed to relax as she leaned against him, as though he'd been waiting for a very long time to hold her like this. He made a sound almost like a sigh of content and happiness.
Allani twitched in her sleep.

The tip of her tail was moving up and down slowly next to them on the ground as she raised her arm up and touched his cheek with her palm, then moving down to his neck, feeling his warmth. Kana smiled as she opened her eyes and looked up at him. "What are you going to do about Allani?" she asked softly, as if it didn't really matter after all. Her blue gaze moved over to Jaenelle and Biwa. She couldn't see the sleeping palas from where she was, but she hoped that they were still fast asleep. Waiting for his answer she started thinking. Kana had a feeling that Allani could come up as a problem if they wanted to build a serious relationship together.
She just hoped that Xennik would be able to keep everything under control, so that they don't have to keep themselves from seeing each others just because of the mermaid pala.

A shiver ran down Xennik's spine as she twisted, followed by a rush of warmth as she cupped his cheek in her hand. He shuddered as she touched his neck, tickling him slightly, and he squirmed a little, tilting his head and raising his shoulder, unpurposefully trapping her fingers against his neck for a moment. Her question caused him to allow his shoulder to droop again, releasing her hand. "What do you mean?" He asked, watching her eyes as she looked away from him, suddenly tense and worried.

Feeling his neck's muscles tense to her question, Kana smiled warmly and changed her sitting position. She turned to the side, so that she could see him better, folding her legs that way they wouldn't be in the way. Her tail curled around her and stopped waving. She hesitated before saying anything, looking down at her hands. Her gaze moved over the the large feather sitting next to them on Xennik's hat. She took a hold of it and put it down on her knees, touching the feather as if she was petting it or something similar to that action. Another smile crawled up her lips as a few locks of her pink hair fell in front of her eyes. "I'm just saying that I've seen how she acts around you. And how she was when you just happened to step closer to me... we barely considered going on for a date, just you and I, and she went a little crazy." explained Kana, without looking up at him.
"I had a really great time with you tonight Xennik." she looked up into his eyes. "I just wouldn't want you to have to choose between Allani and myself. I don't think that would be fair... I can see how much you're attached to her." she said looking down at his hat once more. "You're a very charming man, I can understand her being so possessive of you..." she looked back up into his eyes once more and placed his hat back on his head, making sure it looked perfect.

Xennik's eyes grew wide as her words sunk in. She...liked him? Like...really...He felt his cheeks flushing. When she placed the hat on his head, the feather immediately turned a deep bluegreen, betraying his thoughts. He had no idea what to say to her. How could he think about Allani when a sweet, hip, sexy young lady was sitting in his lap, admitting how much she admired him? And that smile! Xennik felt himself melting under her gaze. Impulsively, he reached for her. He cupped her cheeks in his hands and pulled her closer, kissing her on the mouth before he could lose the nerve.

Seeing the feather on his hat change color as soon as it was placed on his head, Kana couldn't help but smile once more. She didn't know what each color meant for him though, so she couldn't quite figure out how he was feeling just yet. But it didn't take too long for her to know when Xennik placed his hands on her cheeks and leaned in closer to press his lips against hers. Her cheeks flushed lightly to his touch not expecting him to do what he had just done. He had been so shy throught out their date, Kana had been caught by surprise. Though it was a very good surprise. She replied to his kiss softly, loving his embrace. The young woman was really falling for him with no doubts.
As they broke the kiss, she took his right hand into hers and looked down at their fingers touching. Her blue eyes then looked back up at him, waiting for an answer to her question still.

He was perhaps just as surprised as she was at the kiss. He wasn't exactly the kind that particularly liked kissing. He realized now what he was missing as she returned the affection, and decided on the spot that he defiently liked kissing. At least kissing her.
"Sorry." He whispered as they pulled apart, his heartbeat still soaring. He didn't actually think he needed to apologize. But it was better to be on the safe side.
He tried to think about Allani, but controlling his thoughts was getting harder and harder to do the longer he spent time with her. He opted for distraction. He'd figure it out later. He hoped. Allani always did what he said. She'd listen to him if he spoke to her about it. "Don't worry about Allani." He said, keeping his voice down for no logical reason other then speaking at a regular volume would ruin the intimacy of the moment. He wrapped his arms around her in an intimate hug, pulling her against him and rocking back slightly, crossing his legs beneath her so that she was sitting sideways in his lap when he let her rest for the tight hug. He let his arms rest around her waist. "I'll talk to her about it." That didn't sound very reassuring, so he smiled his cute heart-melting smile, not wanting to disappoint her, and added "Get her blessing...?" Feeling brave, he leaned in closer, letting his lips brush her cheek and his warm breath tease her neck, pulling her closer as he did.

Kana giggled lightly as he apologised and shook her head slowly, as if saying there wasn't any problem. She looked at him as he seemed to be thinking for a moment, and when he finally spoke she felt relieved. It did show that he liked her back just as much as he liked him and that he wouldn't let the pala stop them from being together. She silently let him take her into his arms, wrapping her own around his shoulders and sitting comfortably on his laps. They were so close to each others, yet it felt just right to be like this with him. Xennik smiled over at her as he spoke some more, and she couldn't help but smile back at him. He truely was making her happy. The young woman felt like she could have melted into his arms even more when his lips brushed along her cheeks, feeling his breath caress her neck and shoulder. Where was he all this time? She couldn't believe what she had missed on, he was perfect for her.
"Get blessings from the mermaid pala, heh?" she laughed softly, thinking that could actually be very amusing. "Or should we call her the mermaid goddess? Or princess perhaps?" she brought her index to her lips as she thought, then let out another soft chuckle. Allani sure did believe she was either one of those.

For half a second Xennik tensed as she spoke. Then he realized she was just bantering, and not actually questioning the poor pala. He forced himself to relax, letting out a breath he hadn't realized he'd sucked in. He needed to stop doing this. He couldn't tense up and become a worry wort whenever anyone mentioned Allani. She was fine. Perfectly healthy. He'd checked. He'd been keeping a close eye on her her entire life.
Speaking of which, how was she now? He turned his head toward where Biwa and Jaenelle lay. Biwa was dozing now, his large fluffy body blocking his view of the two pala. He frowned, placing his palms on Kana's shoulderblades. Without warning, he leaned forward, holding her against his chest as he tried to see around the Kyuria, practically sandwiching her for a moment between his chest and his lap.
No luck. He figured if she was awake by now, he'd know of it. He'd hear her, if nothing else. "Hmm. Must have been a busy day," he murmurred, sitting back up straight and releasing her from the close, warm hold, "For them to be sleeping like this. He turned his attention back to her, his cheeks slightly flushed. He impulsively reached out and pushed some stray hairs from her face, brushing them behind her ear. "She considers herself a princess mermaid, and the world hers to rule and reign over as she deems." He joked, letting his thumb run over her smooth cheek before running his palm down her neck to her back, pushing her gently against him. He felt himself leaning forward as though he were going to kiss her again. Whoa, what had gotten into him? He hardly knew her. He'd spent one day with her, and now all her could think about was her and how nice it felt to be around her, to hold her and to kiss her. Just thinking about it caused his cheeks to darken. He jerked back with a nervous, apologetic smile. "Sorry," slipped out of his mouth again unbidden. What was he apologizing for? Being too forward? That was new. He'd pulled back slightly, but she was still in his lap, and he hadn't moved his hands from her back.

It felt surreal how his touch was soft and gentle, Kana enjoyed every single time he touched her like this. As Xennik squeezed her lightly to see what was up to with the two palas, Biwa and Jaenelle, she let herself rest against him, looking at them in the corner of her eyes. Being so close like this gave her the opportunity to take a glimps of his light cologne, which made her smile because he smelled so nice, so man like and to her, that was very attractive. She nodded as he mentionned that they must have had a long day for all of them to be sleeping like this. To that thought she felt like it would be ashame to wake them up just to go back to the Elderspark. They weren't very far, what would Xennik say about spending the night here, under the stars with her? Her cheeks flushed lightly to the thought once more.
Kana let out a short giggle, "Allani does sound like that for sure." Moving a few locks of hair away from her face, she looked up at him with a warm and natural look on her face. There was no reason for her to feel shy around him anymore, it was clear how they felt for each others. She was quickly dissapointed when he leaned back, not kissing her after all. She smiled, caressing his right cheek with her hands. "There's nothing to apoligise about..." she whispered as she leaned onto him this time. The kiss was soft and warm, but burning with passion in the same time. Her hand left his cheek to wrap her arm around his shoulders once again, as their lips pressed together into a loving kiss.

He felt the heat rise in his face when she put her hands to his cheeks, but nodded to acknowledge her 'no apologies' comment. Then they next thing he knew they were kissing again. How many times had they kissed in one evening? He'd lost count. He blissfully didn't even care. This kiss was intense, deeper than the others had been, but tender at the same time. All logic thought slipped from his mind as he felt her wrap her arm around his neck. He murmurred something unintelligible against her lips, only kissing her again. Thoughtlessly, he let her weight against him push him back onto his back on the ground. That turned out to be a pretty stupid thing to do, since they were sitting on a hill, and laying down caused them both to roll a slight ways down it. They ended up with her on her back and him holding himself up over her with a hand on each side of her head. The first thing that came to him was an apology, but he quickly bit it back, remembering that she'd told him twice now to quite apologizing. Instead he chuckled at his own stupidity. "Are you alright?" He asked, slightly breathless as he moved to begin untangling himself from her.

Hearing him murmur something made her curious to hear what he had to say, but she quickly lost thought of it when he replied to her kiss. Kana pressed herself against him to take him the warmth of his body only to open her eyes against, laying on her back with him on top of her. She moved her hand to the side of her face to move her glasses up unti her hair, replacing her messy locks into place. When he asked her if she was alright, she couldn't help but smile. "I'm perfect. Because you're here... with me..." she said. The words slipped out of her lips almost like the lyrics of a beautiful song. She noticed his cheeks were slightly red still, "The question is more about you. Are you alright?" she giggled.
She leaned up on her elbows to be closer to him and looked into his gorgeous eyes, brushing her lips this but not kissing him, as if she was teasing. But really it was only affectionate, because the more time she spent with him, the more her feelings for him grew, bigger and bigger.

His cheeks grew darker when she replied. His hat had fallen off. Thank goodness, or she'd have been able to read his mind like an open book. He was touched and completely at loss as for how to reply. No need, really, because she'd pushed herself up on her elbows and kissed him again. His pulse soared. He leaned in to return the kiss when she pulled away, confusing him for a moment. Had he done something wrong? He met her eyes and saw the look of playful affection and grinned. He shook his head, loosening his hair, still grinning, and playfully ran his fingers up her side, lightly tickling her. His cape had fallen off of her when they'd rolled down the hill. He couldn't help but ask "Are you cold?" with a little sly smile as his hand slid from her side to her back, pulling her up against him. He was balancing only on his one hand, but he was fairly strong and could manage it for a while. He couldn't believe how outgoing he was being. Something about her easy playfulness just brought him out of his shell.

Kana was took my surprise once more when he slide his arm around her and held her up close to him. He was so strong and handsome, how could a girl not fall for him? She questioned the fact that he was still single, but then shook it away, thinking that it was a good thing for her, a positive point. If he hadn't been single, they wouldn't have gone on a date and have so much fun. She shook her hand answering his question, "No I'm fine." Kana raised her right hand up and ran her fingers through his hair. He looked very cute with his hair messy like this and she couldn't help but smile. She was content that he had finally seemed to come out of his shell and be his true self around him. Now she could really be herself too.
Kana looked up at Xennik and smiled lightly, "What now?" she asked, wondering what to do next. "Did you want to wake them up and head back to the Elderspark? Or stay over here some more...?"

What kind of a question was that? He thought. Of course he was going to want to stay out here with her. Going back to the shop would mean the true ending of their date. It would mean waking up Biwa, and possibly Allani as well. It was a short walk, but he couldn't carry them both comfortably, and being moved would likely wake them anyway. But as evening had settled in, it had gotten chillier. What if they were cold? They're covered in fur, foolish one, they're not going to get cold in seventy degree weather. He told himself. He was just looking for excuses to worry, as he always did. "Hmm, let's see," He mused, releasing her and moving to her side where he sat cross-legged facing the blanket on which the Kyendi creatures rested. "Wake the grouchy Biwa and Allani, or let them sleep a little longer..." And enjoy myself, he added to himself with a little guilty pleasure. Would she think he was selfish if he chose to stay withher a little longer? Would she be upset if he didn't? The questions immediately began to spin through his mind, reminding him why he'd always had such trouble dating before. Aside from being a worrywort, he was possessive, anxious, the type to get jealous easily, always busy with work, and always too busy trying to please everyone that he ended up confusing himself.
