Shujin Ryu Due to his secret and his "saving people thing" he doesnt want her to get hurt Rage Lana: What is it with people feeling like they have to protect me? Seriously, all she wants is the truth. She'd rather know without having any speculation or uncertainty and be at the risk then everyone "try" to protect her and tell her nothing.

That is the thing about Lana that I think annoys me the most. I mean she spends so much time worrying about the things she DOESN'T have, and that that is what her attention goes to instead of realizing what she DOES have. I mean she had Lex, Clark, Jason, Chloe and even Whitney all looking after her and protecting her and instead of being effing grateful she COMPLAINS about it. If it weren't for the people who cared about her, her a** would have been dead in Pilot.

Why was she lucky to have Jason? He wasn't good for her. Again with the secrets and lies thing. Then again who doesn't do that to Lana. Still, lucky isn't the right word.

Psh jlana is a better couple than clana. Clana has had it's run for like 5 seasons, they need to move onto other people.

I would agree, much on the basis that Clark's obsession with Lana is more with his self-imposed image of her, than actually Lana herself. It was a puppy crush--he put her up on a pedestal; idolized her--and those kinds of relationships never last long; it should have ended a long time ago.

Besides the obvious 'the writers love her,' maybe it's cosmic punishment for something we all did in a past life? ninja

Did she look to pretty? Lana's very existence is punishment--not you, Saber, darling--and, really, she's not all that pretty. The near-constant stupidity/damsel-in-distress detracts a lot of points off the attract-o-meter, zach.

I think she is pretty.... just not when she screams or yells like in Static and Vessel. She just can't do it without looking terrible and making every viewer's eye twitch.
