Jolly_Raj Lord Fates When I first get to play the battle system for real I will spend at least 6 hours moving around killing things and hoping I don't lag to death. And laughing at all those not so lucky who can't get onto the clogged servers. Assuming I'm not one of them. mrgreen

Assuming I'm not one of them. mrgreen I should say in Gaia's defense it has taken the issue very seriously ever since Halloween '04. That was lag. Then again I'm betting ever member and his grandmother will be all over the battle system for a few days.

Assuming I'm not one of them. mrgreen Yeah, it really is one of our biggest challenges to find the issues what come up when 10 gajillion people play the game as opposed to just a few developers. Often buying more servers isn't enough of a solution because how we use the database and how we handle connection make a huge difference. And more CPU power doesn't overcome those issues. Plus, servers are way expensive crying . But, we're thinking hard and working on ways of testing scaling and making it run smoothly. Battle is going to have a lot more preparation than other projects to come we've seen before.

I might take the role as a Shinobi and offer my services and aid or I might assume my Cosmic Entity role and put together a team of Elite Gaian Defenders. ninja

Kolobos_Rayne I think it would be a great idea to add a Clan Subforum so everyone can start up mini Groups. ninja An interesting idea but I still don't see the need or overpower reason for one. I think to many 'enthusiastic' newbies jumped the gun with the talk of Clans in the main Battle forum. Primarily we have guilds and I guess affiliated or sub-guilds on Gaia. I also don't think we have nearly enough to go on to start arranging us into smaller groupings. ==== If I get sucked into the BS I promise I'll do my best to fight my way out of and into the Gaia proper. If I can make it to Gaian Guild Registry I should be able to get back in here to report the fact. xp It's not what secret is at the heart of the BS but at the heart of Gaia as a whole. It'll probably look something like Missingno.  An living compilation of the glitches Gaia has had over the years.

Well this IS my dream avi.....
I am not thinking in changin it much more and.. I think I will keep roleplaying but yes I want to use the battlesystem alot.
It offers too many oportunities for me to say no.

Get to the top first, stay at the top. XD Although I'm sure plenty of people have the same idea. its a cool idea that we are the first...well the people who beta will be the strongest..cuz they will have that head start....
