Keme looks down at their joined hands, trying to will himself not to cry at the thought of losing Relm. "I know I would never go back home...I wouldn't have anywhere to go to because....I know you wouldn't be anywhere, waiting for me..." he whispers softly.

Feeling terrible that she brought their wonderful day to this kind of thinking, Relm lifted up off her seat & leaned across the table to kiss him tenderly. "Enough thoughts of that." She whispered lovingly as she sat back down.

Keme happily kissed her back when she leaned over. He blushes and nods, feeling bad he had said that to her, but he couldn't help it, he really didn't know what he would do if he ever lost Relm. He takes his coat off since he started to feel a little warm.

Relm smiled warmly at her love, letting the love in her eyes tell him everything was all right. Just then The shop owner came over with a tray, whistling the Arabian Dance from Tsychoski's "Nutcracker" as he set the drinks & sliced bread in a bascket in front of them, along with a pat of what looked like real butter.
The pictomancer gave the man a gentle smile "Thank you. It smells wonderful."

Keme blushes at he love he sees in Relms eyes and he knows his own love is shining in his own brown eyes. He looks up when the owner brings their orders and he takes a whiff, smiling happily, "It looks and smells wonderful!" he says, smiling.

The man beams at the compliments, a quiet & heartfelt "thank you, you're welcome" mustered as he turned to head back behind the counter.
Halfway there he paused & turned back & look at them. "You can never have too many days like this. Savor them."
Relm looked from the man's retreating back to Keme, an impish grin on her face. "oh... I will."
Pressing his fingers to her lips one more time she slid her hands free to clutch the pewter handle of the glass holding her tea & breathed deeply.

Keme smiles at the old man and nods, his tail wagging about behind him. He then grabs the handle of his mug and take in the smell of his espresso, letting out a happy sigh. Then he takes a sip, making sure not to burn his tongue.

Warming her hands on the cup a moment, Relm knows better than to try to drink right away. She savors the scent of hot sweetened tea as it warms & permiates the slice of lemon floating on the top & adding it's distinctive scent to the mix. Setting it aside Relm reaches to butter a slice of bread and pauses to smile as her bracelet catches the lights of the store.

He sighs as he savors the rich flavor of his drink, closing his eyes for a moment. Then he sets his mug down and reachs for some bread, spreading some butter on it and taking a bite, "Mmmm, this is great!!"

With a grin Relm bit into the piece she had just slathered with butter. Her eyes close happily as a low purr starts. "MMmm...!" Is all she can manage.
Slowly she chews & swallows, opening her eyes only enough that she does not knock over her tea as she reaches for it. The taste of the sweetened dark tea through the lemon thrills & warms her. Light green eyes flutter open to drink up the sight of the audio male across from her. A perfect moment.
"That was a wonderful idea you had, Keme: to get in out of the cold." Her eyes sparkled lovingly at him over her cup as she took another sip of tea.

Keme chuckled and blushed, smiling sheepishly, "Heh, well, I am glad you agreed! I've never seen this place before, but I would love it if we could come again." he says shyly, sipping his espresso.

"Hummer..." She purrs softly, her eyes oddly serene. "Keme... Of course I would agree to go with you. Anywhere you wanted to go. I'm good with adventure, not so good with picking a destination." Or I probably would have left Thamasa long before I did. But then, I would not have gotten to save our world.
"I concur... we really should come again. It's nice here."

Keme smiled and nodded, "Heh, well, it will be nice to come here when it gets really cold. Plus the owner seems like a nice guy to talk to." he comments, taking another bite of his bread.
