Jack gasped. "You okay, Claire? Claire, calm down." He reached for her and made her sit down. "It's okay, Claire. Stay calm. Deep breaths, okay?"

Ewan sighed. It was getting a bit creepy being in the dark all by himself. He started taking in the events of the crash as he walked. He wondered how Claire was and if she... Was she looking for him? That Desmond guy had dragged Ewan down unconcious! Was Claire worried?
He thought for a moment... wondering if he was doing the right thing. That Desmond seemed like he needed Ewan's help, but for what? Pushing a button? Still, Des wouldn't be able to get a good night's rest if he was pushing the button every ten minutes... he had looked so happy when Ewan told him he could rest...
Suddenly, Ewan turned round on his injured foot and headed back in the direction he came.

Claire eyelids flutterd open and closed several times before she responded. "Yea... Yeah." She managed to say taking deep breaths as Jack instucted. She sat down, but practically fell to the ground trying to relax herself.

"It's alright," Jack instructed. He showed her how to breathe in and out carefully. "Are you feeling better?"

Beep. Beep. Beep. Ewan shut the door as quietly as he could. He tiptoed quickly into the computer room, only to see Desmond sitting there with groggy, angry eyes. "Oh, shite," Ewan said to himself. "Uh.. Hi, Desmond."

He frowned and eyed Ewan carefully. "You told me I could rest and then you sneak out like that? What the bloody hell were you doing?" He knew he should've never trusted this bloke from the start. But if Ewan really HAD been sneaking out, then what caused him to come back? Had he told anyone else about the hatch?

Jack nodded and looked up at Kate. "Would you mind continueing the search... uh, I never got your name."

"I was... takin' a leak," Ewan laughed. Then he realised how stupid an answer this was, because there was a loo right INSIDE the hatch. "Uh... I was... I'm sorry, Desmond. I got bored." Desmond simply nodded. "Why don't you take another rest?" Ewan asked as he sat in the chair by the computer.

Claire walked away from Jack and Kate hunching over a little bit. She couldn't remember what way they came from. She looked back at them who were no longer looking at her. Claire knew she should go over there and say something but she couldn't, she opened her mouth to say something... but she couldn't speak. She continued walking in one direction occasionally pausing listening for any noises, looking for anything familiar at all. She knew she should sit down and rest for a little while but she felt like she was getting close to the beach. She stopped short when she came across a large wooden door (The hatch) with a oxagonal figure type logo stamped on the front. She debated whether she should open it. She tugged on the door a little bit and opened the door.

"Did you hear that?" Desmond said suddenly. Without listening to Ewan's little complaints about how he should really get back to bed, Desmond wandered off to one of the doors in the hatch. "Shut it," he said to Ewan suddenly. As Desmond turned the corner, he saw a woman standing in the doorway looking extreemly confused. Desmond was too startled to saying anything.

"Claire!" Ewan cried. She looked very tired so Ewan raced over to her and wrapped his arm around her shoulder. "Claire? You alright? C'mon in!"

"What? What are you doing here? What is this place?" Claire said, her mind fluttering off to all different thoughts and questions about the moment. She glanced at Desmond quickly but back again at Ewan.

Ewan began ushering her inside. He was happy to see a familiar face. He watched Desmond playfully as he scanned the girl with his eyes, wondering where she came from. "It's alright, Des." He realised he had clearly forgotten introductions. "Claire this is Desmond, Desmond this is Claire."

Desmond awkwardly reached out and shook Claire's hand, staring at Ewan the whole time. "We've already met," he whispered tersely in Ewan's ear.
"Oh, yes," he laughed. "That's right, you... you met at the beach." The air was tense as he dragged Claire by the wrist into the kitchen.

"A kitchen?" Claire questioned giving him a half smile in disbelief there was a place like this on the island.

((Hmmph I replied to this ages ago but for some reason it didn't work. cry ))
"Yep!" Ewan grinned. He lead Claire into the pantry. "See? We've got REAL food. No more mango dinners. There's mac and cheese, vegatable soup and--" Suddenly, his eyes widened. "Candy bars?" He snatched some Apollo bars from the box.

"Candy isn't good for my diet." Claire said and giggled looking down at her stomach and back at Ewan and Desmond. "They are looking for you, Jack and Kate."

"Who's looking for you?" Desmond asked worriedly. He folded his arms as he waiting for Ewan's reply.

Ewan stuck the candy bars back into the box reluctantly. "Jack... Kate..." he turned to Desmond. Then he realised he had no idea who they were and he looked at Claire, "Wait. WHO'S looking for me?"
