Kakashi knew instantly Sam was in trouble. He sprang from his prayer grabbing her just as a sword sliced through the darkness. Using his night vision powers he saw the ringleader standing in the darkness with a giant sword. As he carried the wounded Sam away he shouted at Genno to take care of the leader.

Kakashi then looked over at Genno to see what he had done to his surprise he could not believe Genno had killed the man. He then saw a flash of light as a depraved soul arose from the dead ringleaders body and kamikaze charged at Genno. Kakashi did the only thing he could do: wrap charms around his kunai and throw them at the thrashing ghost.

Kakashi looked at Genno and smirked. He asked Genno where he himself could acquire one of these soul sealing necklaces. He then waited for Genno's reply eagerly.

((blah, you don't know where I stole them from, you don't read books ^^))

Genno told Kakashi that the necklaces were from the box he had stolen from the circus' treasury. He looked down at it and shivered. He didn't like the feeling of losing control, and he had come very close to doing just that...

"There was only one... though I can't seem to take it off." Genno said, bemused. "For some reason, I know how to use it though... You don't want one anyways."

Genno smirks and looks back in the box he stole. He sifts around until he findsa bag containing money which he throws out of the box onto the ground. He then throws out three similar bags and roots around the bottom until he finds a book. He places the book into his own chest and pulls out a sewing kit. Setting it aside, he walks over to Kakashi and Sam. He tells them to split the money and take the carriage, though he cuts loose one of the horses and ties a bag to it. He mounts the horse and pulls out the bag of dragon scales, taking the kit and slowly sewing them together. As he does this, he starts the horse on a trail.

"Follow if you want, but do whatever you wish." Not looking back, he gets absorbed in his work and in an hour, has a decent platemail strung together, only to find that it was too small for him, even too small for Kakashi at that rate. At that point he does turn around, and looks back for any sign of Sam.

Genno hands the platemail to Sam, telling her that he wants to test something with it's durability. He waited for her to put it on, testing his theory beforehand. Pulling out a loose scale not used on the armor, he flings it into the air and launches a fireball at it. The scale melts in the air, but "the mail should hold..."
