"You're welcome," Nuiko replied, bowing back. "Though you should remember, the odds that I will spar you are unlikely."

"I'm no teacher, Li," Nuiko reminded him. "Just an orphan, like you, who happens to be a bit of a firebug. Good night."

The evening had been just as disastrous as Zhen Hua had feared it might be. After the Tour they had left (to bad for her evening might have gone so much better had she stayed here) and headed to a court Banquet that her father had obliged the rest of his family to attend. There were many condolences on her condition, a lot of boring conversation and absolutely no pleasant company to be had. Thankfully she had pleaded weariness and requested to retire early; her parents would be stuck there talking about the weather and the economics of various provinces until well after midnight it was to be sure.

Then, on the way home, she had noticed the lack of her Charm. And, after fretting about it awhile, instructed the coach back to Agni's. She must have dropped it on the Tour. Upon arrival she went in and was about to shout when she thought better of it. It was late and the children were certainly asleep, she would just have to locate Nuiko. She checked the Courtyard first.

It was here, being quiet so as not to disturb anyone, that she witnessed Li's short lesson. Nuiko acted Professional in her teaching manner, even if some of her own technique appeared rusty.

"You're welcome," She replied to the other figure, bowing back. "Though you should remember, the odds that I will spar you are unlikely."

It was the other boy from earlier; he appeared to be having some control problems. Zhen Hua's analytic eye zeroed in on the problems; just as her tutor had taught her to. His stance was too loose, the knees were not as tense as they should be, his center of gravity was too far to one side and his breathing was too irregular as far as rhythm.

"Yea, I had a feeling you’d say that..." Li said, (Well, she was pretty sure his name was Li). "Well...its getting late, I’m sure you have a few things you need to do around the home, and I have to get up for the academy in the morning...if Im late again Master said he’s gonna expel me...I cant be late again. I guess we should go ahead and get back in...That is unless you believe there is more to teach me."

She has all the makings of one certainly Zhen Hua stepped into the light of the courtyard. "It's more of a desire to create, so the creation bug really. It's not just you either, I think all we benders have a bit of it in us, don't you?"

"...And while creation comes easily to a gifted few; control must be learned by all with time and practice." Zhen Hua made a face; "Just because I've heard it so often doesn't make it any less important, but I have certainly learned it to death."


"Is there something I can help you with, milady?" Milady Zhen hua could have spat, but she didn't. She'd been "Miladied" enough for that day.

"I could use some help;" She stood up straight and held out her hand "And for Agni's sake, call me Zhen Hua. I've been 'Milady' today to every Noble this side of the eastern Air Temple."

Zhen Hua smiled at the change of subject. "It's not much really, I just dropped my bracelet sometime on the tour, I was wondering if you could help me look for it." She pointed at her wrist while she was talking though her attention was Elsewhere.

And it soon dragged the thread of the conversation with it. "You Firebend?" She had noticed the scourch marks earlier that day, but she assumed they were made by that charming Li boy messing up.

"It was a thin chain with a smooth round disk." Zhen Hua said a little more self-conscious now. "I really wouldn't be too worried if it were anything else. But Ju and Ling really like this one Bracelet."

She began to scan the ground to avoid looking at Nuiko. Of Course she didn't Firebend anymore, that was just Zhen Hua's luck. It's not like it was actually likely to find an opponent for her to spar who wouldn't go easy. She was still a bender for Agni's sake! Even if everyone treated her like a child.

The Boy from earlier came out of a nearby room. "I'm sorry if I'm intruding, but I heard you two talking outside my window, is there anything I can help with...you know, since you woke me up and all..." He did look like he had just gotten out of bed, with his unkempt hair and rather squinty looking eyes.

Zhen Hua felt sorry about waking some one. "Oh, I'm very sorry, I did not mean to wake you." A particle hit her throat and she coughed a few times, recovering from the fit rather quickly. "I'm looking for a bracelet That I dropped when I was here earlier."

And possibly some company, since this discussion is much more tasteful than many I've had in a while... She smiled a bit. "It looks like a small copper mirror on a chain."

"How about some light," Nuiko sighed, summoning a small fireball into one of her hands. At the rate she was bending today, she might as well go crawling back to that school...

She extended her arm, casting the light over the courtyard.
