Lupis looked closely at the cat. Then she gasped. "Mia, your pregnant aren't you?" She demanded, noticing the belly. The cat yowled in agreement and purred. The look on Lupis' face was happiness, and worriness at the same time. "And when you were courting that tom cat in the alley di you think about how I would feed all of those kittens?" Nevertheless she picked the cat up and scrached her under the chin. The cat purred harder and kneaded Lupis' chest.

Mia merely purred louder. Sighing Lupis put her down. "So shall we have dinner st your place, away from all the animals?" She asked, her eyes a light yellow as she continued to stroke the cat.

Lupis curious as too what the special meal was, and as she followed Kurtis out her eyes were an inquisitive deep green.

Lupsi sighed. During the ball she had almost let herself believe she was special. but then the conversation from earlier came to mind, and her mood darkened. yet she let herself be held by him. "I loved it to." She whispered, letting herself be held by the older man.

Lupis hesitated, her eyes an uncertain and turbulent gray. "Some demons are just not meant to be released. I'm afraid that...if I let this one out it will ravage my sanity." She felt her self fleeing deeper and deeper into the safety of her inner body, curling inward like a flower closing.

Lupis was shivering violently. It was a sweltering hot night, but Lupis' body temperature plummeted. "I-I.." Too many years of silence had seemed to seal the secret deep inside her soul, and her mind fought to keep it in, to protect her. Taking a shuddering breath she sat down and started. "Y-you know I was kept as a slave by a former master, named Balthamos. And you know he forced me several times." She took a deep breath. "I was fourteen at the time. And one time I...I got with child." She said this with no feeling, she merely stated it as a fact. Her eyes were a cold arctic blue.

Lupis blinked slowly, her body still shivering. She felt the squeeze on her shoulder and the angry words, but it didn't process in her mind. "Such a beautiful child he was. He had the changeling blood in him, there was no question about that." She murmured to herself, lost in her own mind. "But his wife had borne him a male heir, and he could not stand to have a b*****d child who could cause trouble and question his right. So he took Alex, ripped him from my arms. And then he cut me and left me. He should have killed me, I wanted him to kill me. But he didn't and know he's dead and I'm still here." Kurtis did not fully realize what he had just done. The mind was a delicate thing, and the years of solitude had packed it into her subconscious, or else she would have gone mad. As the memories flowed into her conscious and ravaged her mind, so Lupis reverted back into her primal state, as a defense mechanism. Teeth elongated into fangs, and her body twisted and writhed under his touch. Tearing herself away she backed up and snarled, her mind already half feral, unable to recognize the man in front of her.
