His expression changed from curious to amused as Leadstorm spoke.

"You guys need an hero, not a runner"

He pointed out. He wasn't one to work for the betterment of mankind and avoided any type of hero thing simply because it was one of the fastest ways to die.

One thing Leadstorm's words had managed to achive, other than the apparent amusement, was a confirmation that they were not the authority-type that he generally avoided at all costs. These two were too blunt in what they were after to be a threat.

Not that he got any further as the girl from before interupted. He looked at her blankly wondering what she was doing here, but had to agree with her, after all, he had more or less told them the same thing.

"You can't hire anyone without money"

He explained to her sounding somewhat sarcastic. The two men hadn't gotten around to telling him anything useful about the 'run they needed done and whilst he was against playing hero, he hadn't said no either.

_"It would probably be best if you leave us alone Leocadia." Calder tells her softly as soon as the door closes behind Wintermute. And surprisingly, she heads out the back door twards the office with only a mournful look.
_He waits until he cannot hear her footsteps anymore before saying anything to the abomination standing in front of him. "I thought we were done. You have no right to be here, especially tonight." Calder says. He knows that a year ago, he could be the machine in one on one combat, but by the way she walked in, she seemed at least 30 kilos heavier. That information alone threw a wrench in his confidence like an ace on the river. Never the less, showing up at this time and place could only mean that she has the upper hand already and wants me to be for something . . .

As soon as she passes the office, Leocadia bolts to the main room with a purpose. "I need to find Mark, he's head of security and the closest bully boy around. I know Calder would want me to protect the clubbers, and I need to make sure those that can help are prepared." She thinks to herself as she blows open the door to the main room with a kick and instantly scans the room for Mark's bio-signature and the S.A.A.S.s.
"Ah there you are!" She exclaims and heads to the man with a minigun.

"As long as you have breath, I'll never be done with you my dear Ranewater." She says in a sweet yet hollow tone. Always hollow. "I know how good your information gathering has been and I assume that you know that I now reside inside of Spire?" A pause to let the man nod his head. "Good, good. Did you know that I now welcome my cohorts and workers in the same room where your wife and children died? It adds to the nostalgia to the room, I think. Gives my meetings and dealings more weight." The machine's smile doesn't reach its cold eyes.
"It's simple Ranewater, I want what I've always wanted. How could I aim for anything else first. Luckily, I found someone who might be able to help. Might be able to get me out of this horrible body and back in my natural habitat. And I want you to get him for me."

_The rage was building up so much in Calder that he was almost shaking. How dare the machine take over his old Spire house, where he left his family to die all those years ago! That is unforgivable! And now the basterd wants me to smuggle in a black doc to give it the freedom it's been hunting for? ******** that! If he can, the machine won't leave the building in any less than a dozen boxes.

_"Whats in it for me machine?" He finally says when he gets his emotions under control. Might as well play along and try to figure something out. Maybe I can get ahold of DoM and get him prepared for Wintermute when it leaves.

_Dom! You there? Do what you can to protect the civilians and get your a** in gear, I want this thing staring at the reaper when she closes the door behind her. There was static in the connection. But it wasn't from Wintermute, who else would want to listen on this conversation? Who else would even know were to look for it?

~Leadstorm looks at joe, then the girl, then back to Joe. "The run isn't even on a machine connected to the 'Net... I need someone to alter an AI's programming and make me an authorized user. If I can find someone to help me with this, One of the biggest corporations this side of the nuclear feilds will be in a world of hurt and I will have avenged my Family's death." he said flat out. he didn't care who was listening anymore. Let them know he was coming. let them prepare. he would walk through their every defence with their own technology and make them pay... Besides, he could feel that there was something big about to go down, and he wanted his personal mission accomplished before their dealings were interrupted.~

"Oh right.. nice and simple.. "

He gave Leadstrom a look that indicated he was kidding. There was nothing 'simple' about altering an AI.

"And the 'simple' matter of changing the AI to recognise your commands is going to take down a corporation.. you're on something, aren't you?"

From where he sat, the man was high, or drunk, or both. From his understanding, taking down a major corporation took more than a change in AI personality.

Nonetheless, changing an AI appealed to him, and he pulled out his business card which had the word 'chaos' embossed in it holographically. Inlayed in the holograph was a way of getting hold of this 'chaos' character.

The fact that he even had a card like that would say a lot for who Joe hung out with, the name on the card was one widely recognised by 'runners and the authorities, who, to date, still hadn't caught up with him.

"Try this guy, I hear he destroys corporations for fun"

Aleister sputtered and laughed, choking on a mouthful of gin. He'd had his doubts, but this night was turning out to be a pretty good chuckle after all. Dividing his time between watching the bouncer pound drinks and eavesdropping on a couple of misfit nomads on some kind of a mission, he'd begun to wonder why he didn't spend more time in places like this.

His train of thought had been diverted slightly to wondering at the dark shadows that passed though his thermal sensor while he watched the crowd. Trying to focus again with his normal sight he caught a vanishing glimpse of a female form as it passed through the crowd towards the back of the club. At another time he might have given it more thought, but one of the nomads was making what sounded like a declaration of vengeance, which got him to laughing and choking on his gin, at which point all thoughts of the mysterious girl were gone.

Trau watched the card being transferred, and then chuckled. "Chaos, huh? Sounds fun." He was about to add, 'does he do bike detailing too,' but was cut short by a 'fuzz attack.'

Trau still didn't know what they were, or where they came from. They were like his other attacks, the attacks on his cortex and central nervous system, but downgraded by about a hundred times. His vision would double for a second, and then he'd get the strange sensation on the back of his neck like he was covered in fuzz...like static was running rampant in his cerebral cortex.

He could go to a doc about it, but what would he tell him? "Have you ever heard of Woodstock?" "Do you know what LSD was?" "Do you have these flashbacks frequently?" To hell with that. Trau had more important things to do, and these little sensations would just have to keep on making him feel like a muppet until he had time to deal with them.

He frowned, and then finished his glass of water. He turned to Leadstorm. "It's worth a shot."

"Chaos... a name I'm all too familliar with." Leadstorm set the 11mm handgun under his right arm on the table, revealing the name 'Chaos' embossed in the butt of the gun. "and this is his twin brother Calamity" he said, flashing the matching gun under his left. Their big brother Carnage is over at the door, Trau can tell you what he looks like...

He nodded once as Trau read the name, then raised an eyebrow at the sudden different behaviour Trau seemed to display.

He had meant to watch Leadstorm's reaction to the card hoping to learn more about the man. As Leadstorm spoke he focused his attention on the man, spending a brief moment wondering why this guy knew chaos. The moment passed and as Leadstorm pulled out a gun, he panicked backing off. Guns and him didn't mix. He was a 'runner, not a fighter.

As soon as he realised Leadstorm hadn't figured out he was chaos and wasn't out to kill him, he took a sip of the bevarage in his hand, hoping to cover up his moment of panick, knowing the damage had been done, before taking a closer look at the gun on the table and the one Leadstorm pointed to.

"Nice names"

He commented, trying to be casual about it.

"Planning on raising hell?"

"Nah, just give a little of the hell I've collected to those that deserve it." He said, putting the handgun back where it came from. "You allright? You seem a bit jumpy. Not that I blame you, my spidey-sence is tingling all over the place..."

He heard something coming from a closed door near the back of the place. it stood out amidst the roar of the crowd in that it was angry shouting, the sound of someone being bullied into something by someone they despise. in such an upbeat place, his ear picked something like that up with little trouble.

"Let's go for a walk" He said to the small group that formed around him, then got up and casually walked toward the weapons lockup at the front of the club. Hopefully Mark would give him back his shotgun, because he had a feeling the twins wouldn't do much against whatever was twisting the guy in the back room's arm.~

Trau chuckled. "Yeah, it's nothing...either it's the music in here, or it's the atmosphere...one or the other, I'm just not used to it, I suppose. The open road will do that to ya."

Trau nodded. "I could use a walk to clear my head a little." He scanned the club once more, seeing if there was some sort of trigger here, but he couldn't figure it out. He shrugged, pushed in his barstool (not that he'd really used it), and then turned to Joe.

"You're a local, right? What's that big building in the middle of the city...the one that looks like it's licking the nutsack of Heaven?"

((Sorry for the delayed post, I had 3 projects due this week XD))

Mark noticed Leocadia heading towards him and quickly turned around, before he had reached the bar. "Is something the matter ma'am?" he asked as she reached him.

Mark knew something was going on, but he wasn't exactly sure. He had seen several shady characters enter the Club and had been keeping his eye on them, maybe someone slipped past him.

~Out of the corner of his eye, Leadstorm saw Mark and a woman talking. He motioned toward them to his newfound 'partymembers' ((Forgive an old gamer)) and said under his breath "Watch them, Something's going to go down soon, and they will know before anyone else. Be ready for anything..." He scanned the lockup for his Shotgun, and looked around the club for the mechanized suits, wondering to himself what the reaction from them would be if he tried to get to the gun.~
