Merriweather Lol, I sung "If You Were Gay" to a merchant at a Renaissance Faire on a dare. And then I was sold by that merchant to another merchant for two coins. xd Tori Amos, Fiona Apple, Beatles, PJ Harvey, Imogen Heap, Madonna, Massive Attack, Mirwais, Nine Inch Nails, Panic! At the Disco, Scissor Sisters, Thom Yorke . . . they're all good. xd Thank you for making me burst out laughing. My sister went with a male and female friend last year, and her male friend wanted to buy her female friend a rose, and somehow they and the seller of the rose started talking about deflowering. It ended in the seller taking the female friend out and calling, "Lady in need of deflowering! Lady in need of deflowering!" Then she spoke with the male friend about it, and she's like, "You want one big?" He's like, "Yes, I like 'em big." (This was the friend that sung to the song If You Were Gay, but I'm pretty sure he's heterosexual, but comfortable with such things; when my sister and her girl friends talk about how hot Perttu Kivilaakso is, he agrees that he is pretty attractive.) The lady took him out and called, "Gentleman in need of deflowering!" Apparently, it was a good day.

system malfunction @Mori: The only thing I don't like about them are the huge senseless gaps in the middle of songs like Take the Veil Cerpin Taxt and when Omar takes his solos too far. Other than that, they might just top my Coheed obsession xD
And I love Ben Folds Five, and I've been trying to get my hands on his solo work but my friend won't loan it to me Well, yeah, there are those, but generally, the huge gaps are followed by something absolutely mindblowing. XDD The Mars Volta's work, in general, reminds me of Radiohead's "Kid A", my favorite album of all time. In the same way, it's very...bizarre, completely out there, and at a few points it takes completely unexpected turns. There's a song that stays relatively normal until a marching band comes in and starts soloing wildly, eventually crashing into a brick wall. XD @Insom: Nirvana/Foo Fighters are made of awesome. xD 'Specially Heart Shaped Box. Also, at Merri: THOM YORKE. PJ HARVEY. <3

Insomnesiac What do you guys think of Nirvana and Foo Fighters? Loves 'em. Should get more. I listened to the second disc of On My Honor for like a whole month last summer. @Mori: Yay, another PJ fan! @Juria: You have to make sure he's a big burly guy . . . and you have to wear a costume.

I'm a sucker for concept albums, which is probably why I love Coheed so much as well. Trying to figure out the stories behind them is so much fun rofl

Trying to figure out the stories behind them is so much fun rofl Yes, you do. xD The band calls it a concept album about "everything and nothing at the same time", but there's also an underlying story involving genetic modification, corporations, and the slow destruction of the world. xD Or something like that. There's a secret book in the back of the CD case with stuff about it. Coheed is fun for that reason. xD They all fit together...all the CDs. Yeah.

Frightened to sing to a big burly guy... But I can try. And hopefully, by law, the big burly worker won't be allowed to touch me if my song annoys him and I will return home with all of my flesh and bones still attached. In the right spots. 3nodding

That sounds like Resident Evil and G-Corp on acid, but with an awesome soundtrack rofl
For some reason Coheed is just so amazing at it though. After a while you start to feel an actual connection with the characters. I was so upset when I figured out that Ambellina is killed by The Writing Writer in the Willing Well suite ;____;
