(Ah, okay, cause Kaosu seems to be very intelligent yet his stats don't really reflect that, that's my concern xd )
PostPosted: Tue Jan 30, 2007 7:49 pm

((Right now, all he's doing is copying. It takes even a simplistic animal brain to do that. He is higher than an animal, but still. It's almost an instruction booklet on how to do poses and crap like that. I got the idea from a book I totally just read at my local Barnes and Noble. Anyhow, enough OOC's. Back to good old roleplaying.))

Any more concerns, please PM me. Sorry if my typing is a little vague.

Kaosu was very confident with himself as he stood with a decent form, though it was slowly becoming shaky. The pose he was in was, at closest example, something of a moderate 'Electric Chair' stance. It wasn't as extreme, but close. "Okay. Next phase."

Considering how easy the stance was, how hard could be moving?

Kaosu took his left foot and placed it across his body, and fell down. He quickly pulled himself back up and slammed his limbs back into stance. That's okay. He told himself. Just a mistake...move on.

Again, he tried moving, focusing around the tree trunk. He this time focused hard on his footwork, trying to keep his balance while moving. However, as he was focusing so hard on the working of his feet, he didn't notice his arms relaxing into a more 'comfortable' position. When he finally realized it, he slapped his forehead and quickly took the Bear once again.

When he tried walking again, on the upper part of his foot like the stance asks for, he tried balancing his attention on the footwork AND the stance he had set up. This time, he managed to take two uneasy steps before he landed face-first onto the ground.

He layed there for a while, mostly 'talking' to his zanpaku-to avatar. What am I doing wrong? I'm following the instructions perfectly...so what's wrong?
Probably your body and brain aren't coordinated enough to complete this task? The man's voice replied, lazy and amused. That Tsai character, though. He'd probably be able to help you...

At this, Kaosu jumped up and shouted at the top of his lungs, sure practically anyone with ears could hear him. "GODDAMN YOU, YOU STUPID SPIRIT OF A SWORD! THAT'S THE LAST THING ON MY MIND!!!" Kaosu stood and breathed for a good half-minute or so. "I'm tired of depending on others for my well-being. They don't depend on anyone. No, they are completely dependent as far as I see it. But who isn't? Me. I'm not. No, I go to everyone for help. 'How do you do this?' I ask. 'Hey, Tsai, can you help me?' I plead. I'm tired of it. I enjoy Tsai's regiment, and I'll go back to that. Otherwise, I must learn to be self-dependent."

Oh, really? And just how do expect to achieve that? The voice chuckled. You can't even utilize a simple stance from a book.

"Let's see you do it, HOTSHOT!" Kaosu challenged, anger growing.
Maybe sometime later. For now, practice. The voice chuckled as he added, Everyone who heard your rant knows you'll be needing it.

Kaosu growled. If there was a brick, it would be broken over the guy's head. If only he could see him right now...

Kaosu quickly stretched out his tightened leg limbs, before again taking the stance of Bear. He tried really hard to keep the footwork going, in something of a side-step. He completed the first step, again, and went for a cautious second step. The pad of his foot tapped onto the ground, and Kaosu froze. He had to make sure his stance was perfect before moving on. He breathed out a sigh of relief as he continued his path, noticably slower than any other land mammal Kaosu was sure. Eventually, with frequent wobbles and slow, uneasy steps, Kaosu made it all the way around the stump.

Finally! I thought I'd die before you came back around. The avatar roared with laughter. Go around and see if anyone could ever be SLOWER than that!

"SHADDUP!" Kaosu roared, springing out of his pose and looking around. "Why don't you just show yourself?! Or are you that much of a coward?"

I cannot appear in the real realm in your current state. No, no, no. The training of your powers until you reach your bankai is required. You're not even close, young one.

"Oh." Kaosu sat down on the stump. "I suppose I'm gonna ask you now. Can you help me with this...stance of mine? The Bear?"

I suppose so. The voice spoke roughly. But not here. The appropriate place is in my realm.

"You know, honestly, you make a serious subject sound nerdy."
Do you want my help or not?

Kaosu felt like giving up. And, he kind of did. "Not right now, I don't." Kaosu kicked a pebble as he retrieved his zanpaku-to. "I wonder what I'll do now...maybe visit Tsai or something."

And so, with that, Kaosu left the meadow.
PostPosted: Sun Feb 25, 2007 8:24 pm

Kaosu returned to his familiar field, and slumped onto the single stump it contains. He sat there for a moment, his face covered by his hands. Then, with a fluid motion, he jumped from his perch and slammed his right hand into the nearest tree. His fist vibrated from the shock, and the pain shot through his arm. However, it didn't delay him at all. He swung his left just as hard into the same spot. The same effect happened.

He took a step back and cracked his shin against the hard bark, sheaving off splinters of the strange material. He smacked his other leg against the wood, and smashed his ankle in the process. Finally, he kneeled down in the meadow, and dealt with the damage he caused himself. His knuckles were bleeding, so he wrapped them up quickly in some bandages he acquired. His legs were fine, but just a little sore. He rested against the trunk of the tree he just tried to take down with his fists, and sighed.

"Man, this sucks." Kaosu simply stated, to no one in particular. Well, that is one...'educated' way to put it. The now-familiar voice mused, obviously entertained. "Shaddup." Kaosu muttered. Oh, woe is me! I don't know what to do! The voice laughed, feigning shock. So rude, it hurts me inside!

Kaosu unclasped the bag he had over his shoulder and took out a book he had been secretly studying. The Most Renowned and Feared Shinigami in Soul Society. The voice said with a slight interest. Now why read a book like that?

Kaosu patted the book. "'Cause I wanna be just like them." After a short silence, the only noise the slight whining noise of the wind through the trees, the voice replied, Renowned or Feared?

As Kaosu cracked the book open to where he had a bookmark, he said, "Both, I hope." The chapter he was on was the first of the 'Feared' section. I don't remember the name of that man, but his 'race' rings a bell. That's not a good thing. Kaosu traced his finger down the page until it hit the shinigami's statistics. "Hmm...Age: 158. Height: 6'5". Race: Vizard?" Kaosu looked at that word. "What the hell is that?"

The voice dropped to a level of seriousness Kaosu had never heard before. Basically, a vizard is an illegal mix of a shinigami and a hollow. It is a shinigami that has been fused with a hollow. So basically the shinigami will retain their own kido, shunpo, and zanpaku-to abilities, but they will have the combined strength of a hollow, maybe an intellegence, and sometimes the ability to use Cero."

Kaosu just stared at that word. Vizard. Kaosu looked up. "It's...illegal? How so? It was a law put forth by the Soul Society long ago. Probably from the 46. Kaosu now stared into the sky hungrily. A shinigami with the strength of a hollow...

All of a sudden a deep, heavy chill crept down his body as his zanpaku-to avatar roared, DON'T EVEN BEGIN THINKING ABOUT IT! DON'T YOU UNDERSTAND? A SHINIGAMI THAT FUSES WITH A HOLLOW WILL NOT ONLY BE BANISHED, BUT THEY COULD BE KILLED! Kaosu smiled despite the painful cold. "Do you honestly think I'd do that? Boy, you need to get to know me a little better."

Despite what he said, Kaosu couldn't help thinking about it. A shinigami's power and a hollow's...that has to be one of the most potent combinations in the entire universe! But...would I have to go to that...um...Hueco Mundo place? Hmm...I'll ask Tsai without being too conspicuous.

Kaosu flipped the next page, and skimmed again. "Another Vizard?" Kaosu brisked to the next page. "Vizard." Another page, another Vizard. It appeared the whole entire section of 'Feared' shinigami were Vizard. "Hmm. It doesn't say anything about them being banished. Or killed."

The voice, however, seemed to be dormant once again. Kaosu didn't choose to chase the matter. Then, a freak gale of wind hit the open meadow and flipped the pages from their position. "Crap!" Kaosu yelled as he shoved his hand to the closest open page. The wind quickly died down and the pages returned to their position. It was about five pages until the end, and it was still in the 'Feared' section. Kaosu was about to turn the page when he saw the name.

And this time, it wasn't a Vizard. "This name...where have I seen this name before?" He read down the page, and on. The last five pages; front and back, were just covered in information about this man.

"Damn...where do I know what name?" Kaosu just stared at the name, longer and longer. "Curse my memory." There Kaosu sat for a long time, musing and pondering.

((May I join you, Kaosu?))

Ugu walked through the forest, minding his own business, when he heard a wild scream from nearby. It sounded like the hollering of a certain student of his, whoms name most likely was Kaosu. Probably. It might have been Zaviel, or one of the more harsher shinigami from the academy. Maybe. Or it might be some unknown shinigami attempting to attain Shikai.

That was pure speculation, but it was enough to prod the giant into attempting to finding the person.
PostPosted: Tue Feb 27, 2007 6:35 pm

((But of course.))

Kaosu had tossed his book aside and jumped up, roaring at the heavens. "WHY CAN'T I REMEMBER?!" Kaosu clutched the sides of his head and paced back and forth. "Genkou Watanari...where have I heard that name before?"

Kaosu was completely oblivious to any other action around him as he circled the decent-sized open space. "Genkou...Genkou...what is that name? WHO is that name?" He ran from his spot and slammed his foot against the stump in the middle. "AAARGH!" Finally, anger vented, he sat back down. He sighed and picked the book back up. "Genkou Watanari...I will find out who you are."

Kaosu closed the book, being careful to place the bookmark on the name that currently haunted him. He placed it back into his sack and closed it loosely. He arched his back and stretched his arms straight out as he yawned. "Aaaaaaoohh...man, I need to spice this place up."

He kept sitting there, his head bowed. "Bleh, I hate reminiscing about losing." But, as much as Kaosu tried to think about other things, his mind veered back to his losses. Not knowing (or caring) if anyone else was around, Kaosu just began thinking aloud. "Well, a bit of training wouldn't help. I guess we are going to the Aozora mountains..." Kaosu changed his position and kept thinking with his mouth. "But I've trained already...and I still lost. So...what's wrong? I'm strong, I have stamina...maybe not that all intelligent but what does that matter?" Another chill ran down Kaosu's spine, "But what about that...'vizard' thing?"

But just then, Kaosu felt a different chill. He whipped his head around, looking. I feel like I'm being watched. Kaosu's hand slowly crept towards his zanpaku-to as he kept looking. If it's another one of those stupid animals... But, no, this presence wasn't an animal. No, this presence was honestly making Kaosu 'freak' out.

Softly, with a slight wavering presence of determination, Kaosu called out. "Um...anyone there?"

Ugu looked through the trees at the yelling shinigami. He frowned as he watched the raving and the anger of the young man at his weakness. Then the elder shinigami smiled as he noted Kasou's noticing of his presence. 'No point in hiding from him', he thought to himself as he moved out of the bushes.

However, before he could move more than an inch, he stopped. An evil thought occurred to Ugu. He let out a portion of reiatsu in order to 'press' the environment around him. Thin strokes blended into the man's vision as he pressed the younger shinigami with his reiatsu. It then occurred to the shinigami that he hasn't let his reiatsu flare for quite a long time.

Kaosu was starting to 'freak out' as he felt the sudden surge of of reiatsu pressing all around him. He kept whipping his body back and forth, trying to find the source. He could feel his heart beating faster and faster inside his ribcage, almost threatening to break out.

Kaosu, though knowing he couldn't really compete against the pressure, pushed back with his own limited pool of reiatsu. He couldn't think as he tried to calm down, the only words running through his head was, "In through the nose, out through the mouth."

However, it wasn't enough and the pressure came back down upon Kaosu's shoulders. He stayed standing however, no matter how hard the pressure was pushing against him. Finally, he starting slowly rotating, looking for the source. Damn, I can't see a thing. Stupid trees.

Kaosu only hoped the emitter of this pressure wasn't unfriendly. If so, his day may not end too great...he drew his zanpaku-to and kept spinning, surveying. Finally, the pressure finally starting to affect him; though barely, Kaosu shouted out to the currently unknown 'persons', "Hey, if it's a fight you want, it's a fight you'll get! Now show yourself!" He rolled his shoulders in a weak, fake expectation. Anyone with eyes, however, could practically sense the fear radiating off of Kaosu. His eyes reflected that emotion also, pupils dilated and darting back and forth. His breathing almost matched his heart rate. I don't wanna die yet. No, not yet. Please... He stopped himself. He was about to finish with the most overused sentence of all time. No, I'm not too young to die. I'm not strong enough to die yet. No, I need to have a name first. Then, I can die, and everyone will know that Kaosu Ranmyaku went down fighting. If I die here...I'll just dissappear.

The spirit force then stopped its pressuring. It withdrew back into the 7'1 shinigami, and Ugu stepped forth from the bushes. His eyes adjusted back to the sunlight that radiated down from the sky and his eyes quickly focused on Kaosu. A smile kept on his lips as he spoke to the younger shinigami," Hello, Kaosu. How are you?"

His lime eyes went to the small book on the ground several feet away from Kaosu. " 'The Most Renowned and Feared Shinigami in Soul Society'? It's a good read." The large man walked forward some more and bent down to pick up the book. He flipped to page 19, to the introductory section of the small tome, and showed the page to the shinigami student. "Name: Ugu Zenmaru, Age: 652, Height: 7'1", Race: Shinigami," Ugu read off, as if by memory.

A photograph graced the picture, too, that had a tall man on it. Wearing black shinigami robes, and holding an obscenely long zanpakotou in the air, the man in the photograph looked like a near-psychotic looking berserker. Still smiling, the shinigami closed the book. "There's a small paragraph about me in there. You probably already know everything in there already, though, since you've probably already seen me use my healing techniques and my zanpakutou's healing abilities."

"So how are you? Why are you out here?"
PostPosted: Wed Feb 28, 2007 8:52 pm

Kaosu almost wanted to rip Ugu's head off, but settled instead for a slower heartbeat and a smile. "Hey, Ugu-sama. I'm..." Kaosu was about to say 'okay', but realized that wasn't the right word. "I'm having a hard time."

His eyes widened as he stared at the page. "Holy crap. I...I haven't seen that page yet...and I've seen this thing so many times!" Kaosu took the book and stared at the page. "Whoa. You gotta feel so great about that! Bein' in a book and being recognized!" Kaosu nodded as Ugu talked about his healing abilities, but stopped quickly and looked up. "A...healing zanpaku-to? That's what you have? Wow, never woulda thought."

"Anywho...this is pretty much my place." Kaosu swept a lazy hand around. "Like the view? It's not much, but I decided to stay here after a night in the dorms. They're crappy."

Kaosu patted the rest of the empty space on the large trunk, "And, I'm out here contemplating my numerous failures. I'm sure you've never had any of those, considering your skill and power huh?"

"The dorms? Bah. They're better than what they used to be. There was mold everywhere in my room, and I could never get anywhere without stepping in month-old garbage. That's why I slept out in the forest.." The man laughed. "Looks like we think alike, Kaosu." His smile turned into a frown as Kaosu spoke about failure.

"Y'know.. I only got a paragraph where others got whole chapters dedicated to them. Shigekuni Yamamoto-Genryƫsai, I think, got about eight pages specifically dedicated to him." He chuckled to himself. "I, on the other hand, got about ten times less than that." The man sat down on the grassy ground and shifted his pack onto the ground too. "Failure, neh? Do you know how many times I barely survived against hollows? The place where I slept, as already mentioned, was in a forest -way- out of Sereiti."

"So far away that Soul Society's guards didn't patrol it. It brought me a lot of trouble from hollows. An untrained, reckless, and unprepared shinigami with a lot of reiatsu.. The perfect target for a hungry hollow. I remember one time where I nearly got my arm ripped off by a low level hollow." The man laughed. "But that hollow, if I faced him again, I could probably kill him with a flick of my pinkie."

"And then there was this time I lost at the First Squad tournament. That was before your time, though, and doesn't matter that much." He paused then, thinking about his own failures. "You have no idea how badly I've bee.. Actually. I can show you how many failures I've had." The elder shinigami shifted his hands to the coifs of his obi. He pulled at the sides of his robe and brought down the black upper-piece clothing his chest. It revealed a scar-laiden chest.

((Note: Ripped from my character's biography)) Ugu also had several scars on his right hand, which are long and looked to have been rather deep cuts that stretched up to his shoulder. Several thousand small un stitched slashes are along his upper pecs and neck, where he had been thrashed around by plenty of training sessions. Then the shinigami has a long white scar on his lower spine perpendicular to his spinal cord. On the right side of his back the shinigami also has a circular spiral marking that was caused by a Kodou technique.

On his legs he has more than a hundred major scars. Over all, though, only eight appear out of the ordinary. The first of the scars is along his left hip and it extends down to his left ankle. A jagged sword slice is also on the back of his right quadracep. With those two, another scar is on the shinigami's right foot stretching from the teenager's big toe to his knee.

Both of his hands are heavily scarred as well. His knuckles have been thrashed around doing deflections of other shinigami's weapons at a faster pace than the shinigami's current level (when training). The veins on the top of the shinigami's hands have been completely covered by at least a hundred thunder bolt shaped scars that were caused by his training.

Also, along with those many scars, a large 'cross shaped' scar stretches from his chest around his body to continue and cross again on his back. Just below that rather large scar a long circle that goes around his waist. The lines, if they should be called thus, look to be from chains being tied around his chest. Huge bruises and scars sorround those two huge gashes in his skin.

"See?"
