No mockery would come from the feline however. "Oh, I see. May I ask why? If you do not wish to say, I respect your wishes." Sayeh looked a little sad. She wanted to see his work but had to respect his wishes to burn his work. Taking a sip from the wine, an idea came to her. "Cassuis, should you finish a painting, could I please it before you burn it?"

The naga blinked as he hears her speak, but shook his head. ''I can not tell you that Sayeh. I am sorry, but it is a secret I tell no-one.'' He sipped his wine, and looked into her violet eyes. ''If you wish to see one, you must be prepared. It may shock you, scare you, or make you happy. My paintings have different effects on people.'' Cassius focused on the feline in front of him. ''Is there something you like to do a lot, Sayeh?''

Sayeh then smiled warmly. "Its okay." Her head bowed. "I understand." She then looked at him curiously. "I promise to be ready for whatever may come from my viewing of the paintings." She then blinked curiously as she lifted her head up to look at him. "I do what is necessary only. Though, I rather like to knit and crochet things." She blushed lightly. "Though.. I only know how to make blankets and scarfs right now.. I am working on making sweaters." She then turned her gaze to him. "What is your favorite color?"

''Knitting and crochet? No-one in this house knows to do things...Only Sam knows how to sew.'' He blinked at her as she asked his favourite colour. ''UH....I suppose...my favourite is...purple. Dark purple.'' The naga watched the feline carefully, before taking another sip of his wine. ''Things that are necessary only? You don't ever just stop, and listen to music, or stop to twirl, even though you're in a hurry?'' Cassius blinked slowly.

Sayeh shook her head no, and bowed her head, long blue lockes cascading down. "I was taught that wasting time is not permitted. Only when I am in the presence of others that wish for company may I be allowed to do as pleased." Her eyes closed. "I'm sorry if it sounds strange." She couldn't help but to be the way she was. Her eyes openned as she stared at the floor, feeling a little exposed from answering such a quesiton. "Would it be alright if I were to make you a gift, Cassius?"

He nodded, it sounded strange to him. ''Wasting time? I do not understand. How is doing something you enjoy wasting time?'' The naga did not mean to sound so rude, but he simply couldn't understand. ''Surely, if you are doing something, that you enjoy, and you get something out of it by the end, it is not a waste of time?'' He folded his arms, flicking his tail slowly, before focusing on what she said last. ''A gift? I've never had a gift before.'' Cassius blinked, before shrugging. ''If you wish. Have you ever painted? I know you said you have not been allowed. If you like, I could teach you.''

Sayeh's ears pinned back. "My own happiness is to not of importance. Happiness of those who must deal with me comes first. This is how I have been taught." She then looked up at him with a smile. "I've never painted before! I would love to learn." A bright smile of joy. She seemed so happy even with such a sorted mind-set.

''Well then...'' The naga spoke slowly, waving the tip of his tail gently, to and fro. ''You must come to me whenever you want to learn...And practice. When you have spare time, or are not needed to do anything. If you are angry, upset. Let your feelings morph into the pictures that you paint.'' He closed his eyes, thinking about everything he'd painted, and how beautiful they looked as the blue flames would lick at them, burning them away. ''Their very essence, gone...'' Cassius murmured to himself. His crimson eyes flicking open quickly, he glanced at her again. ''So, do as I say. Paint.''

Sayeh blinked to him slowly. "Paint my emotions? No matter what they may be?" Hearing his command, she nodded to him, her body bowing from the waist. "As you wish, Si.. I mean.. Cassius. What does one need to paint? Where can I find paints?" She owned nothing but the yarn she used to knit and crochet. Had she merely thought to ask Leena, she would have recieved some paints and canvases and brushes. But she never wanted to be a burden.

Cassius nodded slowly. ''Paint them. Paint what you see, what your imagination pictures when it hears a sound. Anything.'' He shook his hair from his scarlet hues, ''I have plenty of equipment spare. They are in that back room. Help yourself.'' He gestured at a door frame, which instead of a door, had thousands of tiny dark beads threaded onto a sort of shining silver tread. ''Ichigo made it for me.'' The naga answered, before standing up and moving over towards a chest, which he promptly sat on before picking up a brush and slowly brushing his dark hair. ''It's tangled. It scratches my face when it has knots.'' he didn't want to seem like a vain b*****d, so he put down the brush and turned to her. ''I'll help you at first. By the time our first few lessons are done, you will know how to set up easels, how to mix paints to get the right colors. How to paint your very emotions...that will often take years.''

Sayeh took in his words and when he pointed to the doorway, she approached it slowly, smiling at the lovely bead-door. "Its very nice." Her hand slipped between two of the strands, and she pushed past it grabbing what she guessed she would need. She had seen other artists work before so she recognized it. Coming back out, her violet eyes watched Cassius trying to brush his hair. She set down her supples as she bwoed to him once more. "May I help you with your hair as my way of gratitude for the supplies?"

''No thank-you. I shall leave my hair for the time present.'' He stood up from the chest, and slowly moved over to the supplies. Picking up the easel, he quickly set it up, and then put the canvas on. ''Now...select the paints. You can choose any colors. Do not thin about the painting itself just yet. Think about the things you need to create it. Will it be warm, or cool? Then, select a few brushes.'' The naga sat back down, watching her intently. ''If you need my help, simply call.'' He wandered into the back room, to an easel which was already set up. It showed a picture of the moon, full, with stars around it. That was it. He picked up a brush next to the easel, dipping it into an inky dark blue, before slowly stroking the brush's bristles against the canvas, being careful not to cover the stars or moon. Cassius still kept a crimson, narrowed eye on his ''pupil'' in the other room.

It seemed to sadden Sayeh when he refused her help but she only bowed her head to him. It was his wish. The feline then blinked as he mentioned warm or cool. She wasn't sure. Rule one: do not think of the painting when you are picking the paints. She took that into heart and slowly, she pulled back her vails to reveal her hand more clearly as she carefully picked out a very light blue and then a daring bold red color. Next she brought to her a silver-toned paint. As she picked her colors, her violet eyes followed Cassius as he left her to her own devices.
Her tail swayed. Now she moved over to the canvas and sighed. How to begin something so complicated as emotion? The female walked over towards the back room and her red lips parted but no words came out. Her index finger came over her lips, as if to silence herself. She turned awa quietly and seated herself down again. She had to try. She had to follow his direction. 'Paint.' Lifting up a brush she slowly dipped into the red. Her hand trembled as she moved towards the canvas. An emotion. Emotion. Eyes closing, she let the brush touch the canvas, and slowly her hand moved. She peeked out and pulled her hand away eyes openning. This was not looking so well.

He continued to paint, watching her as she moved towards the room, but kept silent, moving back to her own. Perhaps he had left her too soon. Sighing, the naga put his brush down and quickly moved towards hr easel silently. He took her dark hand, still holding the brush, and gently moved it across the paper. ''What do you feel? Close your eyes, and your emotions will guide you.'' Thinking, he deiced maybe emotions were too hard and too soon for the feline. Taking the canvas from the easel, he laid it across the back of a chest nearby. Pinning another sheet to the frame, he took her hand again and slowly moved it across the page, in the shape of a sphere. ''The sun. Try and draw the sun for me. It can be however you portray it as.''

Sayeh had been so focused on trying her best to follow his command that she didn't even hear Cassius approach and was unaware of his presence, until his hand touched hers. She seemed surprised he had come to help her at all. When he asked her that question she remained quiet as she was not to embarrass herself or him. Sayeh's ears drooped when he took away the canvas. She had failed him. A punishment later for this that was for certain.
When he asked for the sun, Sayeh smiled. That was easy enough for her to give him. And since he had said the words 'for me', her hand moved with an eager fashion. Her lines were not strong, and her form was rather wild and untamed, but there, before him was a sun, in a very Indian fashion. Her violet eyes glanced over to him curiously. Had she done as he wished to his liking?
