lol, there's probably a lot we didn't get to see in the manga. I kind of liked how their "bond" was established in the anime, when Manta sees Faust save Maya's family. But like I said, my personal theory is that Manta sees a lot of himself in Faust and is able to appreciate his spirit's purity.

That's kind of scary and I really don't see how that is possible. I mean they both care for others a lot more then themselves but thats about it.

lol, yeah, but that's just 'cause he misunderstood Faust's motives and he was mad at him. xd

That was one of the few Faust-centric episodes. Really nice! That's probably my favorite one. xd In the Japanese version, he's got almost no dialogue, though! It's so hilarious to compare the 4kids with the original.

GTBlader Let me guess in the 4kids version he actually had more lines. Yes! Manta and Faust both. Every time there was a thoughtful/reflective silence in the Japanese version, they'd throw in some annoying explanitory dialogue; like, they think we're too stupid to keep up with the already condensed storyline! rofl

Oh my gosh that is so freakin' stupid, but then again Shaman King was probably meant for younger kids. Just like DBZ was made for 5 yr. olds.

When people see some of the covers of the manga that I take out from the library, they automatically ask if it's pokemon... *sighs* oh, the ignorance of the inferior... rofl rofl
