Mad Migy 9 "i just ended up here really. I just keep travelling really, no destination and no where to call home. I only really stay in one place for any length of time in the winter, but I sleep through most of that it seems." Standing up he walked over to Kel, "I guess before we decide to go somewhere we ought to get something to eat. I wonder if there are any good fish in the lakes around here."
"There's a river between here and Barton Town that shouldn't be too polluted," Kelwyn answered, "though if you're wanting really good fishing I'd suggest either Bass'ken Lake or the Port of Gambino, depending on whether you prefer saltwater or freshwater fish. Of course it would be quite a walk to either one."

"Hmm...the lake sounds like a good spot to me. I'm not very familiar with salt water fish." He opened the door and led the way down stairs handing in his key to the robot at the desk.

Katastrophy "I rather like the wanted posters. They inspire more people to come to me when I'm too lazy to go find a fight." She peeked around the corner also. "I could also just shoot them." She said bluntly, "It beats shooting the lights." "Hm, I guess you would like that kind of lifestyle..." he said, still scratching his chin. "Okay, I got it. I'll take down the closest one, you handle the one in the distance however you want." he said, looking to her with a nod. He crept off, stealthily approaching the nearby guard. He quickly lunged at him, kicking in the back of his right knee and grabbing him with his left hand, putting his gun to his head and muttering. "Quiet." He tripped the guard, knocking him down and subsequently pressing his knee against the back of the guard's neck and his gun against his temple. His low position would allow Kata a clear shot of the guard in the distance, were she to shoot from behind him. Crim` twitched, remembering Kata was using the shotgun. This... Might not be the best of plans.

Kelwyn gathered her things and the two of them headed out of the inn, following the main road outside the city walls. The elf stuck to the road until the crossed the bridge that spanned the river. Once they were across the river, though, she lead her companion off the main path and through the cluster of trees, one could hardly call it a forest, on the east side of Barton.
Skirting the town for a more direct route, they managed to make it to the popular fishing spot in about two hours from when they started. "I hope you're a good fisher because I'm getting pretty hungry," Kelwyn joked.
((I guess we need to pick a new thread. I suppose we could either use Barton Town or The Highlands... you pick))

Might not be the best of plans. Crim seemed to want stealth. Kat twitched at the annoyance, including that his position seemed to have prevented her from the straightforward attack. Ah well, nothing to be done about it. Breaking into a dash, she ran down the hall silently at the guard. Unfortunately, the guard turned at the last second. Shock was all over his face as he pulled his gun on the girl. He wasn't fast enough though, and in the next second he had a face full of the butt of Kat's shotgun. The guard hit the floor, out cold and with a broken nose. Stepping over the body, she looked back at Crim to check how he was doing.

Crim` looked up at Kata, noticing she had taken out the other guard.
"Good." said Crim`, averting his gaze back at the guard on the floor. He quickly whacked him atop his head, knocking him into an unconscious state and then standing. "Well well..." he started as he began to walk toward Kata. "...and here I thought I was about to see brains on the wall."

Kat looked back quickly, checking that there WEREN'T brains on the wall. She'd nailed the guy pretty hard.
"You seemed like you wanted stealth." She pointed out. "Plus, you gave me the furthest guy to take out with a shotgun. This just seemed cleaner."
She smirked. "Anyways, let's move."

"I half-expected you to spring off my back, somersault into the air and end it in a flying shotgun blast or something obscenely complex like that, but I like what you did there." he said, leaning over and halfway out of a window. "There it is, the rooftop we can escape to." he said, nodding to the roof of a nearby building. At it's highest, the building he gestured to was 3 stories tall, so it'd be a ways down and not so far across.
"Aekea's buildings sure are close together..." he muttered. "I guess that's a good thing at the moment, though."

"Wasn't a big enough group for the fancy moves." Kat said as she peered out the window at the other building.
The jump was nothing tough for her, so with a shrug, she broke the glass of the window with the back of her shotgun.
"Let's get moving then." She said as she hopped onto the window ledge and down to the building below. She landed smoothly on the building below a few seconds later, looking up for Crim. Hopefully, breaking the window hadn't triggered an alarm. Or at least, if it had, Crim was fast enough to get through before the guards got there.

Crim` soon followed, landing with a roll on the nearby rooftop. He looked behind him. No alarm.
"This is too easy... But I ain't complaining." he said, standing and dusting himself off. "Let's get out of here." he said. Soon he headed to a door that led to a stairway, which led to an elevator, which lead to a lobby, and in the end, to the street after a few strange looks at the pink-haired man in biker attire and the orange-haired catgirl. Crim` eyed his bike, down the street a bit, then looked to Kata with a smile on his face.
"Need a ride? I'm heading back to the hotel... I don't know if you want to spend some of that cash you just lifted or what but I've got to review the disc ASAP."

Annnnnd so Skylicker and the Katastrophic one took Crim's motorcycle back to the hotel. The writer of this paragraph will skip a description the boring ride over and simply state that once back in their room, Crim` tossed his jacket onto the back of the couch and sat at a laptop he had brought with him in a suitcase. Once he plugged it in(Hey, the battery was low) he booted it up and slid the disc in. Suddenly, he was bombarded with text. Flying text flying right at his face!
"s**t... There's a lot of names here. This... Could take a while. Maybe the computer at the HQ could sort through them and pick the likely candidates cuz... Well... This isn't my idea of a fun time in Aekea." he said with a frown.

"Heading back to HQ then?" Kat asked, flopped across the couch. She peered over at Crim, feeling exceptionally lazy at the moment.
"I think I want to hang around here for a bit. Get a feel for a new city. Maybe look around at some of those names while I'm at it." She glanced at his flying text, debating if that was really as smart a goal as it sounded.
"Think your friend would mind if I stayed in the hotel a bit longer without you?"

Crim` walked over to Kat, taking a seat next to her after not asking. He yawned, popping the top of a coke he had grabbed from the fridge on the way in.
"I think I'll stick around for at least a couple of days, all this travelling has gotten me pretty stressed."

"So then what?" Kat said, turning to look at Crim. "Just going to hang around a couple days and hope that thing doesn't come looking for us?"
"How's that gunshot wound doing anyways?" She asked, gesturing at his stomach. It'd been only two days since he was shot.
