I enjoyed the game because there so much to do! Hunting is great fun and looking for rare stuff for bazaar items can be too. Unfortunately, I beat it yesterday without really realizing what I was doing. But I have a save file way before that, so I can go a do whatever before meeting the final boss again. And maybe level up some more. I beat him at level 56(!?!). He shouldn't be that easy.

I'm right on the verge of beating it, but I'm holding off so i can complete some things and such.
Speaking of.. HELP!
Has anyone gotten the Level 99 Red Chocobo? Please, if you yourself have gotten it to spawn, or seen someone else spawn it with your own two eyes, help me. I'm sick of this 'here's how i figure you do it... i haven't gotten it yet myself though' posts all over the place. I need confirmed data, this thing is impossible and I want a Ribbon dammit!
Oh, and if i figure it out first, i'll give you the details.

Most FF games that I've played, I've been able to beat all their bosses somewhere between levels 45 and 60. Sephiroth, the crazy FF8 lady and her guardian force, Kuja and the "God" (whatever the ******** that was), and 10 didn't really go by levels, so that doesn't count... FFX-2, the...well, end-boss. Nothing good I can say about that lame-a** fight, lol. But you're going to be on a much higher level if you want to even consider defeating ANY of the later hunts, or the rare game hunts. They're all high-leveled. :S Behemoth King, the Behemoth-wannabe in the mountains..too many to even start naming off.

You have to kill a certain number of chocobos before it appears. Even then, it's a rare appearance. Just be careful, it's a nasty surprise if you're a low level...25-30 if it's your first time near the Jahara village.

I am not really crazy about the story. I like romance in my FF games.

So, I've played nearly 100 hours of FFXII at this point and I still have not beaten it. I love that! Yay for hunts!
So, when I voted in this poll months ago, I think I said Fran was my favorite character. But since then, it's changed. Penelo is definatly my favorite character. She rocks, especially when she has a katana. It just works for her. Vaan and Penelo are the cutest couple! heart I like the cute little crush in this game rather than the big romance in previous games. It's just so adorable! whee

kanak0 I am not really crazy about the story. I like romance in my FF games. There is a tragic romance in there between the princess and her dead fiance. And Penelo is crushing on Vaan, obviously. I also tend to think there is some sort of romantic tension between Fran and Balthier. Some of you think it's unlikely, but I got a hint of it somewhere close to the end of the game. wink

I liked the fighting system best. No more annoying random battles on the world map!
My favorite character would have to be Fran, just beacuse she's cool and I love the way she talks. I was a little diapointed in this game, the first time I played it. I'd have to say that for once, the main character Vaan, doesn't do much in the story. I'd say that the storyline was more focused on all the characters, so there is no real main character here. I was also a bit angry about the fact that the ending was a bit anitclimactic.
On the other hand, the scenery is fantastic! I mean, have you actually taken time to look at Rabinastre? The game designers have outdone themselves.
I like the summons in the game and the fact that they are no longer the exact same ones like in the others. You have Matuas Instead of shiva, for once. All in all, it's a pretty decent game, I'd give it 9/10.

kanak0 I am not really crazy about the story. I like romance in my FF games. agreed. There's wasn't any of that in Final Fantasy. ALthough, I got the diea that Fran and Balthier had something. I didn't like the fact that Square took one of it's main compenents of a storyline out.
