"Paes have different powers starry. I know there is one on the island able to conjure any weapon. 350 pae at the least, over half have powers. Creating objects into metal, mineral manipulation, I do not know every paes powers." Now he let the bird he had made dissapate, in its place forming a dog by his side. All this shadow manipulation was starting to get tiring, but he still had only a vague idea of the fae involved. What if it was really a naiad who- no. It didn't look right. Dyas' grip loosened on her father as they walked, the swaying motion calming. No use worrying about it now...she couldn't do anything seeing how she was mute. The girl closed her eyes and fell asleep

"Well that could mean that they put it back the way it was, leaving whatever signs we could find in a spot where we couldn't see it anyway." Starry said, having heard of many different pae's powers. While Raken was changing from the bird to a dog she created another bright star to keep light around them.

Junior stayed behind his mother and Raken the entire time, ready to change to a polar bear if they should be attacked. It wouldn't be good for either of the women to be attacked,as he didn't know what Dyas did, and his mother's power was useless. He was along mainly for protection. "Starry, I have to leave rather soon. I'll seend Yukio along when I get back to the hut okay?"

Somewhat amazed as she watched the other use her powers,Ayiana remained quietly tagging along. She didn't want to seem ignorant or anything,So she continuced to keep silently until she sfound something actually useful to say.

As the mush's cold air hit his exposed face, Ivan opened an eye to look around at his surrounding before noticing his stomach making an odd noise. "Me...hungry,Yana." The toddlar softly sayed in his broken speech as he looked up at her before trying to unwrap himself from the blanket around him in hopes of somehow reaching his small backpack on his back.

Upon noticing that her brother had awaken once again and that he was hungry,Ayiana helped loosen the blanket from around him as he took his backpack out from his back. "So you want the apple from your lunch to eat?" The fae asked as she opened the small backpack and pulled an apple out that was still intacted and unbruised.

The yellow toddlar nodded his head happily as she looked up at the shiny red apple that his sister held in front of him. He looked fruit and apple were just about one of his favorites to eat.

"Oh o.k." She sayed as she looked down at the apple, she too had noticed that she had grown quite hungry herself and was in need of a bit of too to eat. "Hmm...I wonder." She sayed softly as motioned her brother to hold on tight to her side,So that both of her hand would be free. She then held the apple tightly in one hand as her eyes and the apple started to glow a somewhat blue-ish color. "Come on...I can do it." The fae thought to herself as a complete new glowing apple faintly appeared in her other and slowly stopped glowing. "There...now one you and one for me." Ayiana sayed in a somewhat tired tone as she then handed one apple to her brother before regaining her hold upon him. "That should keep you stomach at bay until we get home." She then closed up her brother's back pack and returned it to it's rightful place back on his back.

Ivan smiled happily as he held on to the apple with one hand and returned to be held once again. He wasn't at all surpised by his sister's food abilites, seeing as how she had done it a few times before in face of him. "Thanks Yana." The yellow demon toddlar sayed cheerfully before taking a small bit into the apple.

"No Problem,Ivy." Ayiana sayed with a small smile as she referred to Ivan in his usual little nickname that she rarly used, before looking up towards the group of pae ahead of her. "I better keep up or I'll lose them." She sayed before increasing the pace in her walking and returning to a comfortable distance behind them. She then looked down at the apple that she held in her other hand and started to munch quietly on it as she continuced on her way.

Cabel nodded back, responding automatically, "It's a pleasure to meet you too, Saffron and Aoaka." He eyed the young adult strangely though. Why would he ask about her? Though...it couldn't be, could it?

"As a matter of fact, yes, I do know an angelic woman named Takeko. Why do you ask?" he wondered aloud, a hint of suspicion creeping into his voice.

Please, don't let something have happened to her...

"You DO know her then! Are you the same Cabel then that she found and raised as a son? She talks about you all the time...you and Kane." He paused, reflecting a bit before speaking again. "I think she wonders what happened to you both. My mother was quite fond of you, you know."

So, she was alright! Nothing had happened to her aftera--

Wait...his mother?!?!? Cabel's eyes widened as he looked the young mixed angel over again. Yes...he could see it now. Takeko's golden eyes, her beautiful wings, Aspen's hair and markings...he was truly their son.

"You're...her son," he whispered in disbelief, still trying to absorb this new knowledge. So long ago, he'd left Ivy's cottage while Takeko was pregnant. He hadn't realized that at the time, being only a child, or he wouldn't have left at all. And here was the child she'd been carrying...all grown up. Had it really been so long ago?

Smiling oddly, another fact dawned on him. "So...I suppose that makes us brothers in a sense, doesn't it?"

The hybrid was perched in a tree at the edge of Dragnid Forest where "she" could easily overlook the comings and goings in the muddy area of the marshland. From the ground nothing look terribly suspicious; the tramplings of pae had hidden "her" muddy footprints long ago, and besides some random muddy leaves raining down on occassion there was no real evidence that a spy was in the area.

Wen watched the group boredly. She'd rather be out tracking down the rest of them than playing watchdog. The demon was, however, rather happy to be dry for a change; she could only hope neither of them would end up sick, since if one caught something nasty they both felt it. "You can call him now."

"REALLY?" The angel said loudly, almost too loudly. "Haha sorry!" Luckily Bran wasn't in earshot of the group. She grinned and reached her fingers up into her ebony pigtail, touching something hidden within. "Loveydoveypoo!"

"... What?" Came the stern, but deliberately delayed reply from the Guardian who was not too fond of speaking in such a manner.

"Guess what Iiiiiiiiii did?" The angel responded in a singsong voice. After a moment of disgusted silence from the other end, she continued. "I got one of them. A male! It was allllll me."

Wen scoffed audibly.

"Good, good... Keep me informed of further developments... Maybe you are worth the hassle after all... Maybe..." Then the connection suddenly cut off.

Bran giggled. "Sorry, Wen, but this time I did mean to steal your thunder."

Nienna look between the males before she slip away slightly. Moving backwards she looks towards the forest then back at the males. If she ran now they wouldn't be able to catch up with her. As much as she love Cabel for wanting to protect her. She had to do this herself, she had to go find out why everything was in chaos.

Turning she doesn't think twice as she takes off running towards the forest.

Despite the seriousness of the earlier situation, Saffron smirked back at the Fae. "I guess it does, at that. Good to finally meet you, brother." The mixed angel held out his hand with a grin.

Cabel not only took his hand, but pulled Saffron in for a one armed hug, laughing loudly. "And to think, I probably only missed your birth by days, little bro." Turning with a wide grin, he called back, "Nienna? Remember when I told you...about..." He trailed off, his look of elation swiftly falling. She was gone.

He stepped away from Saffron with a curse, looking around wildly. The time for reunions and happy meetings was over almost as quickly as it had started. Grip tightening dangerously on his staff, he knew he'd have to be quick to decide what to do next before she got too far away from him. Yes, she was only trying to protect him; he knew that. But, that knowledge didn't make him any less angry about the fact that she'd snuck away like that. "Dammit, Nienna," he muttered, eyes turning towards Dragnid. "Why'd you have to go and do that? You know how dangerous that evil place is...you should never go there alone..."

He closed his eyes, fighting the urge to find and hit something...hard. "Saffron? I'm sorry to cut our meeting short. We really will have to catch up as soon as possible, but for now, I have to look after a certain someone who seems to think she doesn't need looking after." Cabel's normally warm eyes were sharp when they opened again narrowly.

He started to stalk off, then paused and turned back with a slight bow. "I wish you both the best. May the Guardians watch over you both in these dark times..." With that, the Fae whirled around and jogged off towards Dragnid, staff gripped tightly in his fist.

Aoaka watched Cabel run away, heading after Nienna, hoping that he found her. He was trying to protect her...

"I don't think they're the ones we're looking for, Saffron," he said, quietly. "But we should keep going, too. We might find something if we keep going. Or maybe one of us should go back, and see if anyone brought back news to the Healing House. Possibly the injured Pae woke up."

He didn't really want to leave the other alone, not with someone dangerous about, but there wasn't really any need for two eyes on the path. Though, it would be hard to meet up again once they separated... Aoaka's powers didn't help for transportation, after all. He was starting to feel the need to check in on Debi as well, but she'd just fallen asleep, so she should be fine for a while yet.

He frowned, thinking. "Maybe it can wait until we see what's at the end of the trail. If we lose the trail, it's always another place to start, right?" he asked.

Saffron nodded, still staring off after the Fae. "I think my brother there had the right idea. Traveling in pairs is safer than traveling alone right now. We'll follow this trail to the end and see where that leads us. If it's a dead-end, then fine. We'll decide what to do from there. The Healing House is a good option though," he smiled reassuringly, turning back to Aoaka.

Looking down, he quickly found the trail again amidst their new footprints, muddy steps that lead into the forest. "Let's go! And keep an eye out for anything else unusual!" Eyes scanning the ground and the surrounding foliage, Saffron set out on the trail once more, heading into Loka Nei Forest.

"Like I said, it all depends. It could be a power to change wood into metal, but that doesn't mean that they can change metal into wood. It doesn't work like that. Just as I can't make animals into shadows." He felt like he was lecturing a child. Why ever did dameon fall in love with her again? Raken sighed, feet slightly sinking in the mud with every step as his hound sniffed around for unusual scents. Pae blood, oil, rust...just something un-marshlike.

Junior nodded to his mother, then looked at Raken. "See you Raken, I'm sure Yukio will be of more use to you than I am." he said, hopping into a tree and taking off to check on his family.

Starry waved Junior off, vexed that Raken thought her little intelligence. "True. But is still possible that they could have been able to change the weapon back into what it came from depening on how powerful they are." She said, looking at a nearby tree where there seemed to be odd footprints. "Hey, you want to send him over here?"

"There are limitations to all powers starry and you can only bend them so far. I know of one pae that has the power to make anything they touch turn into a sweet. The power doesn't entail that they can change a sweet into a chair though. That is entirely a new power. While possible for a power to fix what it has wrought, it is rare, I'm looking for what is most likely, I don't let the rarities get in the way." Taking a deep breath, he softly made a noise in his mouth akin to a click and pointed towards the footprints. The dog immediatly obeyed, loping over to them. Starry might not be the brightest star...but she did have pretty good eyesight.

Starry shook her head, it was near impossible to convince Raken she was smarter than she seemed, at least not in one night. "Will either of you need more light?" She asked, creating a very small orb in her hand to run over a spot where a tree had nicked her arm. It wasn't a deep wound, but she still wanted to check it for splinters.

Yukio looked up as Junior walked in the door covered in mud. "Back so soon?" He said, standing up and walking to the door Junior had just entered. "I'll return later so you can go back out." He said, exiting and immediatly jumping into a tree and making his way to the marsh.

"Goodbye Junior." Ayiana sayed with a somewhat sad expression as the yellow pae turned to go home. "I guess we should do the same, huh Ivan? Mom must be really wondered about us." The purple sayed looking down at yellow pae child in her arms.

"Yeah" Ivan replied with a nod of his head before taking another bite of his half eaten apple. "I miss mama." He whispered in between munches.

"O.k, well go home." She sayed in a sad tone as she stopped walking. Knowing that going home was the right thing to do,Ayiana still didn't want to leave the group without finding out who the mysterious pae was and what had hit him on the head. "Well I must be going now. Thanks for letting me tag along and I'm sorry if I was a burden." The fae ended in a low tone and bow. She then gave her apple to Ivan for safe keeping and grabbing ahold of the nearest tree with her freed hand for support as she shook the remaining mud from her feet. Seeing as how she couldn't possibly make it back though this tough mudd or using a tree holding Ivan,Ayiana decided to take to the sky instead by using none other then her very own wings. "There.." She sayed as she started to flutter her wings slowly and more quickly until she able float a few inches above the mud covered ground. "I guess all of that wing flapping practice as a child did help after all. Now hold one Ivan because this is going to be a bit windy."Ayiana warned,She didn't want him getting hurt while in mid-air then she'd really be in trouble.

Ivan's eyes widened as he looked down at the ground below. Ayiana could fly?He thought to herself as he finished the last bite of his apple and dropped both apples in a uncaring but knowing manner. "Opps. Me sorry" The yellow demon child sayed softly as he watched the apple cores slowly seep into the mud. He then looked up and held onto his sister with both of his freed hands before replying. "Me ready."

"You're such a butterfingers." Ayiana sayed with a sigh and a roll of her eyes before waving goodbye to Raken and Starry. "So long." The blue eyed fae ssayed as her wings started to flapped faster and harder as she floated up towards the tree tops and then off towards her home.

Jazz landed back where she had found the footprints. This time she began to follow a set that was not the same ones as before. She didn't go too far as to wait for Devyn.
