As the ice mare stood looking outward at the mountain she felt the wintery touch as it mused about tustling her silken silvery mane. Her legs ached strangely though she remembered her first year aniversary was upon her. Soon as others followed in suit she'd join the ranks of elders just as her predecesors had done before her. A wonderful mother of two sons and two adopted daughters she'd lived in the valley of the mountain all this time. It had occured to her of course to return to the wintery heights where the wind was bitter cold and ice formed upon your fetlocks and legs should you pause for any given amount of time. She knew one day she'd return for the last time letting her element take her back to wence she'd came.
But for now even in her adulthood she felt young amongst her friends she'd made and remembered. Those she'd taken in from any race if they needed a herd to reside and trust. Gentle, loving, serene, were all the one known as Celendria had challaged and formed well toward everyone.
Each Soquili is a soul and that soul someday should open itself up, tell its life so that generations in years to come shall cherish and remember the one that started from the begining.

As Celendria looked toward the winter forthcoming so did Saissis watch the skies for her mate and son. It had been months with no word from either. Her mind wandered in thoughts of leaving though she worried Nitika may feel abandoned as well. Pawing the ground she sighed flicking her long tail back and forth with the occasional flutter of her translucent wings.
Heart of ice yet warm and fluent she began pacing as her eyes never left the skies. She had to find them and know simply if they were alright and out of danger. Noticing Istas sleeping in a tight ball she tore a strand of mane from her self placing it beside her familiar.
Kicking off swiftly she stretched outward gaining speed as her little flutter wings beat furiously along with her empathy to her family. The sign she left was simple and clarifying. "Keep watch over Nitika Istas. I'll be back when I have word from them".

Tirranna decided with the winter on the way it was time to start some foraging such as berries and winter corn. Even the winter apples were coming into season as well. Flute in hand she dressed herself in skins, particualy deer, and set out with a basket to forage.
Her eyes though paused on the hillside of a single white mare watching her. She knew right away this was the horned one the ice mare had claimed as her own. How amazing it was to watch the little ones grow, yet you could never touch upon something so precious or wild. So, she simply smiled and went about her duties as the children grew into beautiful adults.
Walking a bit slower now she heard the sound of something approaching noticing the white mare adorned with a horn was nearing closer. Mane and tail painted in the deepest purple with water running throughout. Upon her backside there lied a symbol which reminded the maiden of a shooting star. Eyes of cerulean bore into her in curiousity. The maiden's back shivered just being this close to one so grand and magical.

Glory thought about her mother at that moment, remembering tales of the maidens and how they were to be protected. The thought had never occured to her before till now when her mind wasn't perplexed on raising Cotton nor being with Kahiana; her mate. Right now she wondered with a child's perspective what this woman was doing and where her destination led.
Whickering she inched closer noticing the basket that hung loosely over the girl's arm. She watched from afar the things these two-leggers did and wondered if this time was exactly the same. Her eyes also trailed to the flute that gripped in the girl's hand curious to what is was.
Stopping to a small gesture of a hello she waited to see what this maiden would do now that she was but a footfall away from the other that stood watching her as well. Growing into an adult to the point of elderhood she wanted to know more about these humans and things they did.

The maiden smiled at the horned pearl colored mare. She really did shine as the light touched upon her.
Taking a few steps forward she watched for the mare's reaction. Would she follow. Would she stand and continue to bare her gaze into the maiden's own chocolate orbs. All these traveled throughout the girl's mind and yet many more followed.
Realizing the day wouldn't last forever she hurried off in her stride to the wild berry bush midway in the deerpath nearest to the stream. Going down on her haunches she steadied herself, picking the ripest berries that caught her eye. While yes she was curious about the Soquili, she needed to concentrate on foraging as well.

Glory watched the girl pick the berries placing them in the basket. Perhaps she could as well. Leaning in she steadied herself lipping onto a berry only to have it squish a red paste onto her muzzle tingling a bit. Snorting she reached in to try for another letting it happen once more.
Her eyes darted back to the tenderness of the maiden's lithe fingers plucking berries, then placing them in the basket. How in the world was this possible she wondered. Looking at her hooves she pondered that was a useless thought. Her tail wasn't helpful either in this case. Logically thinking it was like her wanting wings and being able to fly. This case it was the use of fingers and picking the berries correctly.
Resuming to try again she squished another and groaned miserably. Some help she was, now her muzzle was completely stained red.

Tirranna could help but giggle seeing a once white mare shine in berry juice that contrasted now upon the striking lightness of her fur. The maiden picked a few more before wiping her fingers and palms upon her legs leaving a faded purply smudge. She didn't realize it but her hand reached over and stroked the mare's cheek with a smile.
Pulling her hand back swiftly she realized now she had touched upon a unicorn. Creatures of mythical grace and beauty with one that her stained finge rs had touched upon. With a single touch she felt the softness of the fur as it caressed her own fingertips. How nice it was for this beautuful Soq uili with purple silken for a mane and tail to stand so close.

Glory paid no heed to the silken fingers barely chaffed by the cold weather. In fact she rather liked the warm touch upon her fur like a mother's soft breath in foalhood. No this was something much more indepth than mere words written upon various tapestries.
Shaking her mane she blinked as her finely built head caught a gaze of the first falling snow. White dazzling ice crystals dressed in inticate designs waltzed downward in circle s of twos and threes. As the mare remembered snow was not as fresh and prominent as it was now. She snorted and looked at the maiden almost smiling at the lithe girl.
Nudging her head outward like an outstretched arm she whickered till her nose bumped Tirrana's arm. Blowing out gently she purposely felt the skins that kept the girl strangely warm.

Tirranna gasped taken aback at the friendliness this creature was showing her. Not only did she not shy away or seem distant, it was as if this mare was trying to communicate to the confused lithe girl with her hair neatly braided behind her back
Reaching out she took the initiative so surprised to note the unicorn let her touch that mystic coat. She held a deep gaze on wide-eyed girl that made the maiden shiver with those cool orbs melting into her.
"Well now Soquili. Do you wish to help me?" she queried lifting her hand out to the berry bush. The first snow was beginning to fall and time was turning colder into the afternoon.
"Come now.. we must hurry. Would you hold my basket w hile I pick the berries?" she motioned holding out the basket toward the inquisitive mare streaked with the silver shooting star.
