Shifting, he averted his gaze from Vara and Thelx as they spoke about this, and instead focused on the ground in front of him, as if it were incredibly awesome ( XDD This is a weird place to use the word awesome).
"Perhaps it's odd to ask Thelxiope..." He started softly, when Thelx was done speaking, "But I would like to get to know you better someday. You certainly seem to be a good person..." Trailing off, he looked up at Vara and Thelx for a second, before looking back towards the ground.

Vara heaved a soft sigh after studying Thelx for a moment. She didn't like the way this was going. She had a feeling that she wasn't helping in the least bit to relieve her poor friend. And right about now, she was certainly in a corner about what to do. Nothing seemed to work. She leaned around a bit, trying to keep in contact with Thelx's eyes as he spoke. "I don't want you to just agree with me. I want you to be happy." She paused for a moment to think then shook her head. "I don't know what to do in order to make you happy again."
Pippin was laying down next to Red XIII, with his front legs tucked under him. For all he was concerned, this was drama for the adults. His eyes closed for a bit, until his stomach started churning. She whined to himself then looked over at Vara. Nope. He wasn't going to go over to her and get in the middle of everything. Instead, he tugged on Red XIII's arm and gave him the most pathetic, "sad kit" look he could muster up at the moment. "I'm huuuungryyy! Can't you get to know Thelxiope after we eat?"

There was no way that the siren could answer her, no matter how hard the wheels turned or how deep he tried to search his soul - everything came out either awkward sounding or just plain off topic. So in the end he ditched his voice and just gave her a semi-realistic smile, hoping to calm whatever was in her soul. If she was convinced he would be allright, then everything would be fine until he was alone.
Turning to Nanaki and Pippin, the smile didn't fade to much as he attempted to plaster a façade on himself so that none could see the fresh wounds, as he finally answered someone atleast. "I wouldn't mind a getting to know eachother conversation sometime in the future, Nanaki, it would be wonderful to learn about the other lad in Vara's life, if you understand me." He murmured, before flickering his gaze to Pippin "But first maybe we can find some sustinance for the little'un before he starts eating his own paw."

Looking a little more than uncomfortable, Red XIII shifted a bit awkwardly, offering an equally as awkward sort of smile towards the Siren. "Uh, yes..."
Then, a sort of weak grin broke out on the wild Feli's face as he looked towards Pippin. "We must." He agreed, sighing. "We certainly can't have, as you said, Pippin eating his own paw anytime soon." He rose a brow towards the kit, before glancing about. "There's quite a few different things to try out here, however you have to know what's safe, before eating or touching it." ...He sounded like a camping counseller or something.
"Whatcha feel like eating, kid?"

Vara slunked down a bit when her she wasn't given an answer. But, at least things were civilized. At least there was a tiny speck of a bright side. Right? She moved closer to Thelx and nuzzled him softly, then returned to Nanaki. At least Thelx was being open minded to getting to know Nanaki, and vice versa.
Pippin looked from the siren to his own paw. It did look delicious, but maybe something less painful would be good. He then turned to Nanaki and shrugged. "I don't know what's safe to eat. And I'm not a kid!" He huffed a bit then looked around. He saw some bright red berries on a bush nearby and ripped a limb off. "What about these Nanaki?" He smelled the berry and licked his lips. He was about to just dig in when the branch was snatched from in front of him. "Hey!"
Vara held the branch up above the hobbit's head. "Don't eat it yet." She gave the branch to Nanaki, with Pippin practically hanging from it. "Are they poisonous?"
Pippin growled softly then sulked a bit. He looked at Thelx and groaned. "I don't get what you see in her." He turned and glared at the one who took his meal away.
