From close to a mile away, the howl of the wolf was heard. An instinctive shiver rolled down her back and her fur bristled. Slade knew fear. She slunk out from beneath the bush that had covered her in her sleep and growled softly to herself. She knew there were others, others like her. Indecision made her pace until she had fretted herself into a state almost panicked. Making up her mind with the abruptness cats are noted for, she started to lope out towards the sound. She would hunt on the way, she didn't have to show herself if she didn't want to, she reasoned, she knew she could always leave instead. She didn't look too closely at her motives however, after all, she still had pride enough to refuse to admit she was lonely, and that she needed help from others, like her, to understand the frightening things happening right now.
Also, deep back in her awareness, forgotten memories urged her forward, lost behind the thoughts and plans she made, tey spoke of things that she used to, and should still know, of people, plans, and missions important to no one alive. For Clare wasn't alive, Slade was now.

Elix grimly follwed Copper and Chesnut, it seemed a safer deal than lingering around the hungry-looking wolf man. At least that was until the gigantic dinosaur man rose from the bushes. His mind froze as he stared in abject horror. He felt his fur bristling and his tail frizzing out. And then Chesnut ran forward and Elix found himself snapped out of his reverie. "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH" He screamed in one unending wail, as he stumbled, backing away from the horrendous sight. "IT'S GONNA EAT US!!!" He yelled as he bolted for the nearest strong looking beast man, who happened to be Aion. He clung with an Iron grip with both his arms and legs wrapped around Aion's torsoe as he continued to scream. "SAVE US!!! IT'S GONNA EAT US!! IT'S HUGE!!!! AND HUNGRY!!!AND IT HAS HUGER TEETH THAN YOU!!!! AND IT'S GONNA EAT US!!!!"

The hybrid velociraptor looked around, his eyes twitching slightly in annoyance and he took a distinct step in the direction of Elix and Aion. "I usually eat the loudest ones!" He snarled, irritated by the creature's frantic insanity.

Aion couldn't help but stare at the huge creature who towered menacingly over the group, It was pretty big!... He noted with some dismay, but before the cowardly side of his mind could decide upon a route of action, the cold predator in him took over, something about this agressive and male creature challenged his own power. Before he knew what was happening Aion had risen to his own not inconsiderable 6' 10" His prominant fangs were bared and his fur bristled, "Well I eat the BIGGEST ones first," He growled back eyes flashing at the raptor man.

Sabel remained in the foliage, silently thinking to herself I am one with the tree, I'm a short stripyed frizzly tree, I am a Fur tree, you cannot see me. She pleaded desperately. sweatdrop I wish I actually knew ninjitsu or some sort of disguise training. She remianed ther for a few more moments, remaining entirely silent, then she saw a small figure creeping through the shrubbery at her feet, or rather more accurately, paws. She watched the Serval stalk along for a few moments before announcing her presence. "Hey, I wouldn't go out there if I were you, there's a huge raptor dude..." She muttered in what she hoped was too low of a tone to be noticed by the two aggressors in the grass.

Elix's screams brought reality crashing down on Chestnut like stocks on Black Wednesday. As the two large predators challenged each other Chestnut began to take note of a few facts. One: he was close to four feet shorter than the raptor man. Two: he was standing in between the raptor and his stated prey (namely Elix). Three: he was also between Aion and his stated prey (namely the raptor). Four....... was never reached for three had been enough to send the slight fox into a dead faint.
" I wonder who who they'll eat first...." was his last semi-coherent thought before he crumpled to the grass.

" YOU'VE KILLED HIM!" she shreiked. Galvanized into action she picked herself up and dashed over to the prone fox-man she gently took him in her arms brushing away his reddish hair from his white blazed face (not very different from her own blaze). " He was so good and brave," she sobbed, " and look what you've done!" she rounded on the raptor man with blind fury, her formally gentle brown eyes flashing with anger. " You're nothing but an animal...... worse than an animal!!"

If Elix had not already been covered in white fur he would have turned pale at the proceedings, but as it was, the only distinguishable change was the widening of his already wide eyes. With another terrified shreik he threw himself bodily away from Aion, dashing madly in the direction the bear and the scorpion had gone. "
"THEY'RE GONNA EAT US!! THEY'RE GONNA EAT US!! THEY'RE GONNA EAT US!! THEY'RE GONNA EAT US!! THEY'REGONNAEATUS!! THEY'REGONNAEATUS!! THEY'REGONNAEATUS!! THEY'REGONNA......" Having dashed halfway accross the feild while shouting without pause the fragile ferret suddenly blacked out from lack of oxegen crumpling to the grass like a sack of potatoes.

With a genuine snarl of anger the Raptor lashed out one foot in a practiced movement at copper pinning her to the ground under his foot on her chest close to her neck. "Watch who you're unsulting little girl! I'm a Soldier!" He seemed to have completely forgotten Aion's challenge, not that it mattered to him one way or another. His razor claw was poised over the hound's face in a threatening manner.

Aion watched in some dismay as Elix bolted once again in terror, I was joking....he thought, but did not have much time to contemplate the smaller beast-man's fate as he noticed the newest injustice by the Raptor, All of Aion's fur bristled in outrage, and he loosed a low growl which set fur on end, His teeth snapped together with an audible clack as he snarled at the larger beast, "Coward is what you are! How dare you attack an unarmed innocent when your opponent is right here! You are no soldier, you are scum!" His eyes blazed, and his fingers flexed, but he did not move forward, "Taking hostages is for low-lifes" He spat.

The screaming of a certain, rather small, individual had reached Lune and he turned to rush back. While his departure had been almost soundless, his return was heralded by snapping branches and crunching earth. Lune was fast but large. In a very brief time he entered the open space again, already certain of the size and location of his opponent.
Lune wasted no time talking as the situation was obviously beyond that at this point. The position of the raptor's claws was clearly too dangerous for a frontal assault to succeed without Copper suffering terrible injuries. With both speach and brute force impossible, Lune did what he could. As distasteful as the option might be, he leaped into striking range of the raptor and stopped moving. His tail was raised and tense, ready to strike far faster than the raptor would be able to completely evade.

Chestnut, still lying inert between on the grass chose this momment to revive. His eyes opened slowly. As the blur cleared he tried to make sense of the shifting black shape above him. The shape resolved into the forms of the raptor man towering over him.
In one adreniline fueled leap the fox-man was up, and had over acheived. A furry orange tornado was in the face of the raptor man scrabbling desparately for a hold.

The raptor did two things unexpectedly and surprisingly fast. First he lashed a hand out kocking Chestnut back from her direction flying towards him, and secondly he kicked off from the ground, jumping up away from Copper and over Lune he grasped one hand around the creature's poisoned tail, spinning around in mid air and landing behind him low to the ground with his legs tight against him, then, maintaining his grip on the dangerous appendage he kicked out hard, intent on sending the heavy armored scorpion flying away from him. Once that was done he sprang up moving quickly a few feet further away, "You animals don't stand a chance against a trained killer like me." He sneered and looked around at them all. "You're not even worth my time, you would do well to learn how to survive in this world, there are more dangerous things out there than me, and many of them are far less forgiving. "He drew back up to his full height, strangely the movement was non-threatening, as if he didn't even care what else they might try.
