Awen paused a moement and looked over at the older woman as she wavered. "Well, yeah. But I meant... rather... what makes you think he hasn't already made more, and Jordan is just a field test to make sure it works. But if in emergency he has a lot more sitting on a shelf somewhere? I mean... really Sabin couldn't stop that should he have done that."

Richard nodded at that. "Well I'd like to hope Jordan is only a first test. He could very well be a canine for a reason. You talked to Jordan when he was human right? He didn't strike me as a very good person to be a final test of such a serum. We have to hope that isn't the case." she kept her voice low as the pair shuffled through the forest.

Awen wobbled once more as her tired legs didn't want to support her full weight for another moment. Awen yawned a tad and shook her head. "Urg... where's the lake when I need it..." The talk of testing and Jordan was lost onthe poor manta. She was so near sleep that she could barely keep the forest infront of her straight let alone consipracy thoughts.

At the wobble, Richard stepped forward and slipped a steadying arm around Awen. "Easy there." She had hoped the manta would be able to make it back to the village under her own power but they were barely halfway. It was still over a mile out. "Why'd you come all the way out here anyway?" She half grumbled, half joked.

"To remind myself of the consequences of our actions. And the potential of our inaction." She gave a weary smile and shook her head. "I just.. need to get to some water and I'll be fine... so worries..."

Richard's tail twitched and disapproval played across her face. "You need to take better care of yourself." All four arms were used to scoop up Awen before she could protest. Richard wasn't familiar with the part of the island. She wasn't aware of any nearby water ways. She took a wobbly step forward, her tail swaying behind her for balance.

"I can walk myself." Awen said and put up a fairly meager struggle against the large cat. "I'm not crippled or anything, just a little dizzy. And I'm fine, really. It's jsut been a rough little while..."

"Yes yes. Water's a good mile a away still and I don't want you straining yourself. So you'll just have to put up with it for awhile." Richard found her balance after a couple of steps and the wobbling lessened. Awen wasn't exactly a feather weight in her arms but Richard hoped she could dump Awen in the lake before her back gave out.

"And you're no spring chicken! I don't want to hurt you." She squirms to get away from his grasp, but not too hard as to accidently hurt him.

Richard rolled her eyes at the struggling Awen and set the drying fish down. "Hey watch the chest there! Fine! just don't pass out mid step!" She pulled on her bra to adjust it with an indigant look but her tail curled with amusement.

Awen chuckled and nodded. "I won't pass out... can we just get going...?" The manta girl gave a yawn and started walking, albeit wobbly, it was still well enough.

Richard nodded and began walking down the path. "Alright, just promise me you'll get some sleep when we get back." Richard followed Awen all the way back to her duplex, watching Awen's every wobble at first. A few of her own near collisions with trees convince her to watch her own path instead of Awen's. She fell into an easy silence.

"Yeah yeah... I promise I promise grandma." The girl rolled her eyes and chuckled before turning her concentration to the simple feats of walking and breathing.
