Does a lot of reading turn you off from roleplaying? |
Yes, I don't feel like reading a whole story before I can get the idea of what the Rp is about. |

((don't worry so much Immortal....it's probably alot better than you think it is. trust me.))
Unperterbed at being cut off by the other guys, Seamus merely sat back and listened. He had a few friends, or, at the very least, aquaintances that were sexually active, so the bombardment of 'sexual predators' in the room wasn't that daunting to him. He'd never personally had sex, and wasn't in a rush to- he had nothing to prove. However, since Allumen looked so uncomfortable and tense, and because he didn't want to broadcast disgust to the other guys in the room with sexual pasts.
"Maybe I've read you wrong, Allumen, but you don't seem like the type of guy to bugger some kid without their consent. Tons of people have sex underage, you were just unlucky enough to be caught. Sorry 'bout your da' though. My mum died when I was a toddler, so we weren't close enough for it to hurt that much, but I know that it sucks to lose a parent."
As an afterthought, he added, "Oh yeah, and Liam? Cool scar. Did you get the punk that mugged you, or did he get away?"

Allumen's head shot up and he frowned. "It was consented. I'd never do anything like that. However, the law is written..." He felt cornered and returned his gaze to the carpet. "Abby, I'd like to be excused, please." He didn't want to sit through a whirlwind of other people's nightmares any longer and besides, he had to pray. Something was also pulling at the back of his head, nagging him. Something about his father and that day... And why couldn't he remember?

Cool? That wasn’t a word that Liam heard often when it pertained to himself. But there was little time to mull over the compliment as the next question hit him. How in the world was he supposed to answer that? It had been on purpose that he had misrepresented the situation, and it showed openly upon his face how flustered he had become. “Ah, uh, I think things have gotten confused..” He murmured, casting a nervous glance towards Abbey. He agreed with Allumen about wanting to leave, but was too timid to speak up about it - just as he was hesitant to divulge the full details about his brush with death in a back alley. It was dumb to talk about his own issues when there were other people in the room with problems much more severe than his own. Maybe he’d just sit back for now and let the others talk it out until they were finally freed. .

((Well, as I said: talking to people on the int. is so much more important than memorizing a skit for Monday, doing a packet of Spanish, writing an essay, doing my grammar and literature work, and interviewing someone for my personal development class.
And well: 'if it's not in the house, we don't eat it' is our little foundation here but were not very strict vegan-peoples... I wouldn't survive outside the house for more'n a week if we were. xD))

For a moment, Abby remained silent studying Allumen's expression before she glanced to the three people who had yet to speak. "If you really want to go, I am not stopping you." She said softly. "Though.... I think that you should stay until the other boys are done...this way everyone can understand eachother and nobody is left in the dark about anyone." She then took her doe like brown eyes off of Allumen and looked to the rest of the group, her tone sincere. "You can accept eachother or not... that is your own choice. You can also like or dislike eachother .... you are here so that you learn that you not alone in your struggle and that you have your peers to help you." She finished and then looked back to Allumen. She smiled softly, her expression politely asking him to hang in there with her.
"Justin, why don't you speak next? Tell everyone why you are here? " She volunteered and then looked over to the hot headed boy who seemed to be glaring daggers at her.
The boy folded his arms over his chest in a defiant manner and scoffed. "My mom's a raging whore and my father's a no good drunk. Put anyone in a house with them and after enough time they'd go crazy." He said in short temper. His eyes then flickered quickly across the room before he narrowly peered at Abby. "So... I took all of my dad's liquor and I burned the whole house down." He said with a small smile that showed his pride in his deed. "So now my mother's pretty face can't earn her money no more."
Abby listened to Justin's words but did not respond. She could tell.... that this boy would be the one to give her trouble if any of them were to. She sighed and shook her head slightly. "You feel your actions were justified." She said with an indifferent tone. She was not there to judge... only to help who could be helped.
Justin only looked at her for a moment more before he looked away to find something more interesting on the table infront of him to glare at.
After a moment of silence, Abby looked to Seamus and Tristan.
"Well boys? Its down to you two.... who will it be?"

Allumen nodded and listened to the next kid. Only two more to go... He decided to remain. He was only mildy surprised that the kid burned his house down. He had temper enough to. He sat straight in his chair, staring at the floor still. He just wanted the boys to speak so he could go back to his room.
((Should we have two boys to a room? *headtilt* Makes things interesting.^^
Btw, in order to make Allumen's story stand I've gotta change a few things. One, the whole punishment-horse-thing throw out the window and two a bit about his history. Just see him as a clean slate for now please. xD
*this always happens with new charas... meh...*))

((Anyone kept in a room with Aiden is in for rough nights. xD;;; *coughcough*
Annyway, yeah, Immortal, if you could do the rooms (as long as Orpheus and Aiden don't end up together... that just wouldn't be fun).
Ohya... and what does Justin look like?))
Aiden frowned as Justin spoke. It didn't... sound so bad. Or, at least, not to him. His father and a couple of his brothers and sisters had been quite heavy on the alcohol and Aiden - well, he'd already explained his case. No matter what they did, they were family... how could... how could anyone do something so terrible to family?
"Justin... do you... hate your family?" Aiden asked quietly, brow wrinkled in a small frown. He didn't understand how anyone could do something like that to their parents, even if they weren't perfect.

"What do you think?" He asked sharply, his eyes remaining on the table for a moment before they slowly lifted and landed on Aiden's face. "I've got cigarrett burns up and down my f***ing arms beause that b***h they call my mother used to get pissed at me if I broke something and my punishment was to hold still while she burned the f***ing butt into my skin. " He paused to lift up his sleeve and show the numerous burn marks that flawed his skin. "....and mommy dearest was nicer than my old man.... let me tell you that." He said snidely and then nodded, as if agreeing with himself. "Yea.... yea I hate them."
Abby's eyes had grown slightly wider when Justin had lifted his sleeve. The report they had given her about him said that he had 'a burn mark' on his arm..... not 50 burn marks. She remained silent , waiting to see how Aiden would respond. Children often had two very polar responses when it came to abusive parents..... either they hated them or they made excuses for them and considered them family no matter what.... it always depended on the child.
