idk..I don't remember stuff. Still, if it was painted, then..it's bound to happen. Though, the point is to make it so that the paintings don't come true on some things, so I don't know if it'll come to be that Ando and Hiro really go. But if Hiro doesn't get back soon, Ando is going to freak out. sweatdrop

Does anybody remember how long ago that picture was actually taken? Was it like..the week before or something? I know she mentioned getting a Japanese phrase book for her birthday or something a week or two prior, or was it longer than that?

Also: It made me laugh when the sheriff guy was like, "She's not Google!"

I know it was something like that. If it was three weeks ago and Hiro was there..wow, a lot can happen in three weeks. Hell, he could be in New York. sweatdrop

Yeah, I started wondering about that. I hope something gets figured out, because..if Hiro went back three weeks or so. There would be no Ando in the present, and then DL would be, uh, dead. Ya know?

But remember, this show isn't written to just be the purview of sci-fi geeks... it is meant to be accessable to others.

Then again, there's always the possibility that Hiro's mucking about with time works in an entirely different manner than just direct cause/effect and is more of a shaping of it dependent on his presence.

I'm watching Heroes on Sci-Fi, and Google-girl's birthday was six months ago. gonk Talk about missing the time frame!

Hiro's ability is to manipulate time and space, but what may not have been covered is his ability to be immune to the effects of ******** with time and space. In theory, he is outside the scope of his own powers, or his powers render him outside the field of effect of any alterations he makes to the time space continuum. This is partially shown when Peter's visited by Future Hiro and Peter, who instinctively mimics the powers of others around him, was completely unaffected by Hiro's time freeze.

Additionally, paradox can be worked around in that the Hiro who traveled to the past is not the Hiro who is in Japan, he's Hiro but not the same Hiro, therefore he isn't in two places at the same time, rather the Hiro of "now" is in the past, at the same time as "past" Hiro, just like how when "future" Hiro showed up in the same time-frame as "now" Hiro. Alternatively, one could view time travel as not truly time travel, at least not in the linear perspective, rather time can be fluid, multiple time lines existing at once, and by changing the past, the future splinters off into it's own string. (look up Hypertime on wiki for a partial explaination on how DC used to handle it before they decided DiDio's idea of Emoboy Prime punching reality was a better idea)

At the very least, the alteration of the future can occur and the future is not set in stone because Hiro's very first jaunt through time already shows inconsistencies with what is occuring now due to the changes made by his actions (present and future alike). For instance, Isaac is no longer at his apartment, and even if he were to return in the future, it's highly unlikely that Bennett would allow him to return with his pictures. The recruitment of Isaac by Eden and Bennett was spurred by Future Hiro's interference in confirming Peter's belief in the existence of the powers, forcing Peter back to Isaac in order to "save the cheerleader" and thus bringing Isaac's existence into Eden and Bennett's view which in turn leads to his leaving of the apartment and the prevention of him dying at Syler's hands... as well as probably preventing him from creating the Hiro comic.

Another likely potential is that reality isn't affecting Ando simply because the changes which Hiro is making to the timeline is not widespread enough to affect him. The butterfly effect may not cause a hurricane, maybe just a light shower. Similarly, it could just change the lives of people in that town, but since Ando was in Japan, well away from any of the changes and effects of Hiro's mucking, he would not feel any of the after-affects. Similarly, Hiro's attempt to change the present may simply result in failure, despite his attempts to persuade the girl away, she may still go to work and thus the only real difference in the time line are the pictures and potentially memories of those who were present in the past.

I was so happy when Claire punched that girl in the face.
