As the battle raged outside the Lonjinus Captain Incarte held fast to his chair and watched the reports flood in from the lower decks. Hull breaches had been reported from levels 32 through 27. To make matters worse the brig had lost control and that blasted escape artist Niko had made it out.

"Manning! Good work on the counter maneuvers. Alpine, radio those straggler Units and tell them to engage the enemy ship." Incarte rang out. The ships alarm was blaring on the bridge.

In the light of a flashing emergency strobe Manning looked over the helm controls and veered the ship in a starboard turn. The two enemy LFO's on the port side were uncomfortably close and Manning wanted to put some distance between them and the Lonjinus. "We still have full operational status sir." he yelled over the sirens.

Incarte yelled back,"Kill the sirens but leave the ship in high alert. Send repair teams to levels 31 and 28. Ships security, send two armed teams to the brig and secure all detainees... and security. If I lose anymore detainees because of this fiasco... Heads will roll."

From the Comms desk Lieutenant Alpine called up to him. "Captain, the late arrival Units are not responding to our calls. They seem to be tracking on a new LFO. The markings are... Sir it's the Silver LFO from Tripa. The one Intelligence officer Soriel sent out orders to recover."

"Tripa?" Incarte said "Alpine did you set the camera's to record battle photage?"

"Yes sir. Although I'm not sure how good the shots of the pirate's ship is. The interference, along with there sudden dive made it hard to record." Lieutenant Alpine responded.

"Don't worry about that,"the captain snapped,"I want recordings on all LFO's involved. Radio those units again and tell them to turn on ships recording systems and continue there chase."

"Weapons. Prepare for another volley. Manning line up another shot at that ship. I want it on the ground this time!"

As the Lonjinus veered back towards the Rehk the units following the Silver LFO continued to pursue.

".....?! -No!" Gray suddenly seemed "thaw", the rigidness fading from his expression and his posture, effectively removing the bizzare, machine-like mien he'd suddenly been possesed of. The red X drained completely from Gray's eyes with the same errie slowness with which it had come. Gray blinked, then sagged fowards, drained.
"What was I...!?"
VREEEEEE!!
Gray's frightened musings suddely were shattered as cockpit alarms blazed. Gray's eyes widened and he seized the controlls, wrestling with the uncoperative reffboard.
"C'mon, C'mon....!!"
Still fighing to level out, the LFO dropped speed and zigzagged crazily, the fins on the back straining agianst the wind. Abruptly, the fins began to hum, producing a series of weak bolts of energy between them. The Trapar frow from under the damaged board suddenly thickened and flared, shifting mysteriously to focus around the LFO. With the added lift, it leveled out and regianed a shakey control over it's flight path.
Gray shook his haed, sighing.
I should go-I can't fight all those.....
Gray's thoughs suddenly seemed to shatter and fade, like ripples fleeing across a pond's suface. It was there, the same maddening force that had driven him to attack, the mindless agression was still there; pushing at his waking mind and influnceing his thoughts!
"No, NO! I....I Don't want to.....I don't...."
But yet the force was unrelenting, the product of twisted military designs, and it wouldn't be satisfied....
The LFO arced back towards the battlefield, shifting posture on it's board and making a second pass; darting across the bow of the Lonjinus and shredding another alarmed KLF in burst of red and gunfire.

“Incoming!” Victor yelled and pulled on the controls. Just after he did so, four large beams shot out and hit off to the side of the Rehk.

“Nice dodge there.” Terrek smirked at the older man’s astonishment.

“Shut it Terrek.” Victor responded in irritation. The Rhek pulled back up into the sky. Several more KLFs dropped from the Longinus and charged towards it.

“Curse it all… more of them.” Terrek grumbled and gripped the controls tighter.

“This is Gail, S.A. is launching.” Gail’s voice came from the side comm.. Out of the corner of his eyes, Terrek noticed Victor gritting his teeth. A dark grey LFO with red stripes dropped out of the Rehk. It twisted around and surfed up the waves. Reaching behind its back, the LFO pulled out a vibrant red bladed sword.

“So the Ashes shift again?” Terrek excitedly sat forward in his seat. The S.A. curved with the waves. It swerved under a single KLF, twirled upwards, and shoved its sword directly into a cockpit. Lifelessly the KLF fell to the ground with a plume of dirt in its landing. Air chaotically twisted behind the S.A. as it shot after two more KLFs. It quickly bounced to the right, slicing a KLF in half. The other KLF faltered backwards, surprised at this new LFO’s swift shifting movements against the trapar. A large explosion spread from the sliced KLF. The S.A. quickly turned about and dived into the last KLF. A bright sparkle of red reflected off the blades smooth surface. Shifting against the air, the blade pierced the KLF.

Rue yelled for Klera into the comm.
"Anyone with medical knowledge please come help me and this wounded man!"
He took off from the comm and brought a medical kit with him. Slowly, he started to bandage the smaller wounds and tried to stop any area of blood flow. Several gashes would need better attention then what he could afford with this kit. When he was done, the bleeding was halted, though it was crude and mainly bandages that were keeping the man alive. Rue tried to awake the pilot, but he had no idea wether he would be successful or not.

Niko opened his eyes a little to see the man he had tried to shoot still standing over him. Isn't he dead yet?! Little roach... He tried to get up, but the pain came rushing in and he fell back down. He was majorly wounded and in need of professional treatment. If the Lonjinus's crew hadn't beaten me everday, twice a day, and wouldn't have shot up my LFO.... He looked back at the guy who awakened him for a minute. Then shot his hand up to the guy's neck, choking the life from him and bent him low so that Niko could say in his ear, "Where am I?" He kept his grip on him though.

In the air a heavy breeze could be felt. It was invisible to the eye but pervaded the skies. A wave was coming. A big one. It rolled from the east and grew as it drew closer. The horizon seemed to glow with an entrancing mist of green trapar.

In her cockpit Kayako felt the words of a long lost friend. "They will not catch you young one. Ride the waves."

In the cockpit of the Silver Archetype, Gray also heard these words. "Ride the waves. They will guild you to victory."

On the blue lines of sky green flar erupted and rolled over all the ships. the Lonjinus veered wildly the the starboard side and fell back and the wave past it.

"Unit 8! unable to maintain trajectory! Unit 2 are you there? What is it?!?"
The Mon-suno's bounced on the trappar and fought to stay up right.

The wave continued to grow.

"Kayako it wasn;t anything important but this is there are KLFs coming our way not many I think." Nic replied to Kayako's conversation. Now if only I could figure out what to do, Those two new LFOs seem t have it under controll and if there is anything else that I might be forgetting...I better hang back. Nic thought to herself.
