Kelala's back was no pressed against the wall as she crossed her arms to keep her dress from falling down. She sat there taking deep breaths as she stared at him for a moment. Then a deep growl vibrated in her chest as she glared at him snarling with her fangs. "What do you think you were doing?!" She bit out with anger at him her words full of venom and fire.

"I was trying to get you out," Ovaan snapped, a more violent side showing itself as he got to his feet. It was an irritating anger, considering he''d been the one who'd just smacked her over the head. "It's not my fault that the only way out of here is painful. You said you wanted to go."

"What are you talking about?" Kelala respond in confused anger. at the man who seemed to lost all of his logic. All she planned to do was get out of this tree house then walk out of the forest it wasn't that hard but this man seemed to hink that her leaving here was harder then it appeared.

Ovaan's eyes flashed dangerously. "It is out there. This is the only place you're safe, unless you want to get out. This," he held up his hand, still glowing faintly from the spell he'd failed to use on her, "Is the only way." His tone implied a great deal of annoyance.
He advanced toward her, hand glowing menacingly, blue eyes hard and emotionless. "It would have been a lot easier if you'd stayed asleep."

Kelala gasps as she notices the spell pressing herself farther against the wall. Instantly a barrier erects around her, it pusles as it seems to shimmer when Ovaans latern hits it right. "You are not placing any spell on me." She said in a straigh forward voice that left no arguements.

The sight of the magic wall erected around her terrified him. He stopped, frozen where he was, his mouth forming a small circle of horrified surprise, his antenna and wings stood on end, his grip slackening on the lantern he held. It crashed to the floor, clattering loudly. His eyes swirled a deep green and he took a step back, seeming to shrink on the spot. His wings folded down like a scared animal puting its tail between its legs, his anatenna shivering, alert and frightened.
"I'm sorry." He whispered, his voice cracking as if he were about to start crying, his eyes never leaving the barrier around her.

Kelala blinked and took in his frightened state for a momenrt. Hesitantly she took her barrier down as she watched him carefully. She kept her arms wraped around her and she slowly took a step forward towards him. "Look if you don't hurt me I won't hurt you. Promise." She said in soft soothing tones as she assumed that his reaction was based on fear from her. Why she didn't know but it seemed to be that way.

He took another step back, eyes wide. He tripped, falling on his rear on the floor, crawling a little farther back as though fearing for his life. He stopped then, and looked at the floor, his eyes sad and guilty, like a child who's just been punished.
"You don't like me anymore, do you?" he whimpered pitifully.

Kelala mentaly panicked as once again this man threw her for a loop. Insticts kicked in to smooth things over even though he had pratcialy threatened her moments before. She stopped walking and knelt on the floor so she was more at his level. "Its not that I don't like you. You just scared me with that spell." She said in a comferting tone hoping to get him relaxed again.

"I'm sorry," he whispered again, looking ashamed of himself. He looked nervously, shyly up at her and noticed a thing trickle of blood down the right side of her face, he had cut her with the sharp edge of the lamp. Moving faster than might have been expected, he pulled himself into a kneeling position before her, Pulling the sleeve of his shirt up over the heel of his hand and gently wiping the blood away. "I didn't mean to hurt you. I don't want you to be mad at me." He bent closer to her, kissing her on the cheek with the innocent affection of a child trying to win someone over.

Kelala gasped as her cheeks were painted a lovely crimson from the small form of affection that was unepected. "It...it's alright." She replied in a timid voice as she looked upi at him meeting his ever changing eyes. Her heart beat had picked up and was vibrating her rib cage. This man was keeping on her toes that she barely had time to think.

Ovaan twisted his hands nervously, his eyes changing rapidly from one color to the next. He looked up, his eyes meeting hers, and held her gaze.
Her eyes...
"So you like me?" He asked carefully, watching her face warily.

"I...I guess." Kelala responded softly as she looked back into his swirling eyes. A pink tounge darted out to wet her dry lips as she stayed where she was frozen. Not sure if she should make any sudden movements of this seemingly unstable man.

Ovaan's eyes flicked from her eyes to her mouth, intrigued. He moved his hand to her face, pressing his thumb against her lips, his head cocked curiously to the side.
