Corpse_Marker I picked other, since I really don't like heroes as much as I love villains. Yet, if I had to pick from that list, it would be Batman. Poor guy struggles with his past, his love life, his enemies....and it all adds up to just another day in the life of Batman! And I don't even consider The Doctor a hero, he's more of an anti-hero, sometimes his actions cause more pain than good....he just doesn't realize it. idea I agree totally. I don't know who I'd pick from that list. I prefer my 'heros' to have dark sides bigger then their good sides, because no one is 100% anything. I guess Batman is bout the closest I'll come to that. Really though. When I read this story, the first character I thought of was Lasher from Anne Rices the Witching Hour series. Dunno why though, he's really not a hero, or a villan. Damn I wanna reread those books now. I saw them today at the bookstore, maybe thats why it popped into my head. Damn subliminal messages.

Roobarb True, but I was gonna leave villians for another day and anti-heroes... hmm, I always group them with heroes. But yeah, I agree. The Doctor is certainly not a Superman-style hero... but he tries. Well, not the First Doctor. xd He's pretty much a villian - most of his good deeds are accidental! Yes, the Doctor does try. Ever listen to the 5th Doctor audio "Creatures of Beauty?" He causes the mutation (NOT in a positive way) of a whole race. Accidentally posioning their atomsphere, and he never knows it. The 1st Doctor reminds me of elderly retail customers who don't get their way...complaining, sly, and vindictive. exclaim

Other than The Doctor, Batman is my dude! The reason I like him is that he has no superpowers and yet he still kicks some major a**. cool That, and he has the coolest villians ever.

Spiderman's the best. He's the one that I can relate to most easily (out of the superheroes), and I've always loved his comic books/tv episodes.

I went for DangerMouse - Sir David Jason has a perfect voice and you have to love the Mark III biggrin biggrin Plus the plots were mad - I swear the entire writing staff of Cosgrove Hall were sniffing the paints they were animating with. For an example of comedy gold, see "DangerMouse on the Orient Express"...
Mind you, I did have to hesitate over SuperTed as well. Derek Griffiths also has a perfect voice and the addition of Jon Pertwee to the voice cast can only be good. Plus I'm pretty sure that I don't find horror / supernatural stuff scary because I grew up watching Skeleton...

Freaj I'd have to say Bernard Black, out of the comedy series 'Black Books' He's my idol. I wouldn't say he's my hero - but I base my entire philosophy for life on his bad attitude. And everything that program says about bookshops in Britain is ABSOLUTELY TRUE.

I really don't think they thought batman through...
All these conspicuous maniacs would have had all their assets frozen...
SO WHY THE HELL DO THEY ROB BANKS?
'Oooh, I have a minibus full of money, but i can't spend it because the minute i walk into a shop, i'll be in Arkham.'

If you did something in the past that would negate your own birth, should you start to fade from existence (like Marty McFly in Back to the Future), or should your present (time travelling) self be impervious to such changes?
I don't quite like how John Connor sends his own father from the future to impregnate his mom in The Terminator. That's a real logic twister there...

Hmmm, would seriously prefer to travel forwards in time than back. Out of those, I think I;d like to do something before I was even born, completely out of my own timeline. Maybe...Woodstock!!! Or watching the moon landing.
