While the machine had been destroyed, the Gyarados was still hoisted above it. Reaching into his pocket, Lance looked sorrowfully at the great beast. It's only for a little while, he thought, as he pulled out a purple-and-white ball. He flung it at the Pokemon and caught it instantly, before passing the ball along to Sabrina. "I want you and Nina to get yourselves out of here, right now! Take the Gyarados and release it back into the Lake!"
"Lance, but what about you?!" Sabrina asked, worriedly, as she noticed Giovanni getting to his feet.
"Don't worry about me. Just get Nina out to safety."
Biting her lip, Sabrina looked back over her shoulder again, then back to Lance. She hugged her friend tightly, before running over to Nina and helping her up. Sabrina grabbed Mihoshi's Pokeball from Nina's belt and released the Pokemon, and the Togetic flew the sisters up and out of the secret area of the base. Sabrina and Nina then took off for the stairs, leaving Lance and Giovanni alone.

Giovanni scowled as he watched the two girls get away. he then cast his attention to Lance. "With my machine destroyed, there's no point in me staying here," he turned his back, moving swiftly toward the staircase.

Running like mad, Sabrina and Nina made their way up the staircase that led up to the PokeMart. Once they were back up and into the store, they stopped running for a moment and tried to catch their breath. After a few moments, Sabrina was quiet, and then she handed Gyarados' Pokeball to her sister. "Since he's your friend, it makes sense that you would be the one to release him back into the Lake." She smiled slightly when her sister took the Pokeball, and took her into a hug.
"What was that all about?" Nina asked, wiping her eyes with the back of her hand. Sabrina shook her head and responded it was nothing. "All right. We should probably get going now, before Giovanni gets back up here..." Her sister nodded. They began walking to the door, but abruptly stopped when they heard a voice from behind them. "I can't allow that to happen."
It was a male, and the sisters turned around to see who it was. It was the Rocket who had posed as the store's clerk. "You see," he said, taking a step towards Nina and Sabrina, "you humiliated me, in my own base, and eventually my boss came by and saw what you had done to me. I won't... and can't... let you get away with that!"
A split second later, the Rocket pulled a gun. He fired it at Nina, who had no time to react... However, Sabrina rushed to her sister's aid and shoved her out of the way, behind the counter, and took the bullet straight in the chest. She fell onto the floor as her blood splattered onto her sister's dress, staining it. Sabrina's head was cocked to the side somewhat, looking at her younger sister.
"I... love you, honey," Sabrina said in a barely audible tone. "Find Ho-Oh... He can help... you." A few moments later, the sparkle left her eyes. Sabrina had died.
Shaking, and tears pouring down her face, Nina heard the Rocket walking toward her. When he was within sight, Nina instantly flung him into a wall. The impact was so hard that not only did the wall crack, but by the sounds of it, his back had been broken as well. The young psychic ran out of the PokeMart, looking back at the woman who had sacrificed herself so that Nina would be able to live.

((Aww poor Nina and Sabrina! I hope she finds Ho-oh, the most awsome of the legendary birds. That and she has better luck then Dante had with it.)) As they got off the boat Dante cast his gaze around looking at the busy city that was Slateport. He wasn't quite sure why he had choose Slateport instead of Mossdeep which would have been closer to the gym that would enable him to have his pokemon learn Fly but he was sure that this was where he wanted to get off for some reason. Shrugging it off and deciding not to spend to much time in this town he took out Apollo's pokeball and let the wild horse out ignoring some of the looks that he was getting. Hopping on the back of the black and white pony he checked his map in order to get his baring's befor smiling slightly at his newly evovled pokemon. "Let's see if you can keep up with us." He said befor kicking Apollo's side's slightly and took off on the back of the flaming horse. Bahamut gave an excited cry befor its wings began to vibrate loudly as it got ready to fly befor zooming off after its fellow pokemon and trainer. Meowth meanwhile was shouting at Dante to slow down and digging his sharp claws into his shirt.

Govanni stared daggers at the man in the red cape. "So what if you've managed to destroy my Evolution Machine?" he growled, "One experiment gone wrong will not hinder the progress of Team Rocket." Giovanni went up the flight of stairs, and through a door at the top. This brought him into another room; another with a helicopter. Considering most of the Rockets had hightailed, the man was forced to operate the machine himself.
At the moment, his head felt surprisingly lighter from the loss of his hair. However, he then felt a heavy pain in his chest. A pain that felt as if his heart were to burst. He let out a small gasp of pain.
"Oop! Did I stab you again?" his mother asked, looking at him.
He nodded. "Yeah, that's all," he lied. He felt something was wrong; something not quite right with the world. Everything at that moment seemed to become a little less bright. Kilik felt his mom brush off his shoulders. He could hear his dad ranting about his findings to Janie (she was the only one who would listen). Granted, Kilik did enjoy the stories, but he just didn't feel quite in the mood for one. There was a squelching noise and the sounds of hands being rubbing together.
His mother ran her fingers through his hair with the gel, pulling and tugging back on his black hair. She twisted the ends of his hair, humming Tiptoe Through The Tulips as she worked. "You're hair is going to look great when I'm done," she said when she had stopped humming. She took another few squirts with the water bottle and applied just a bit more gel. "There!" she said proudly, wiping her hands on a rag she pulled from her apron. The woman handed him a mirror (again from her apron).
"Looks good, son!" Joseph said when he told Janie to wait a moment, "You look a lot different without your wonderful---" he saw his wife clear her throat and glare at him, "---without that digusting mass of hair," he gave him a wink.
Kilik stood up, admiring the style she had put it in. It was a bit more modern, his hair sticking out in the back. "I like it, Mom, really," he told her. She smiled. Kilik snatched up his Egg and held it under his arm. "I'm going to go change and I'll be off," he told them. Flareon jumped onto its owner's shoulders.
His father walked with him to the stairs. "Son, I don't want you to be a stranger around here."
"You're one to talk," he said coldy, "You were never home," he began going up the steps. He noticed his father didn't follow and he was grateful he didn't. He opened up the door to his room and walked over to the drawer. Setting down the Egg on the floor, very carefully, he opened up his drawer and pulled out a fresh pair of pants, socks, and a shirt. Quickly, he changed his clothes, grabbed his Egg and headed down stairs. "Nice seeing you, we'll have to do it again soon." He slipped his shoes on, bid his parents and sister 'Good-bye' and headed out the door.

"Ugh... Damn that man," Lance said in disgust. "I'll put an end to his ways, one day..." Lance headed for the staircase, feeling a bit disappointed at the fact that Giovanni had escaped. When he reached the PokeMart's floor, his eyes grew wide at what he saw. He noticed the Rocket lying on the floor, and above him there was an extremely deep crack in the wall. Then, his eyes trailed away from him and saw another body, lying in blood, with their head turned slightly to the right. Lance froze. He ran over to the body, and turned its head so that he could see who it really was.
Sabrina's pale face could be seen reflected in the Dragon trainer's eyes. Those eyes became filled with tears, which fell like a torrential downpour. He brought Sabrina into his arms, hugging her and sobbing. Lance had only loved but one woman in his lifetime, and now she lie limp in his grasp. Lance was unable to form a coherent sentence, as every word was interrupted by a terrible sob.Blinded by tears, literally and figuratively, Nina ran at a near-breakneck speed to the Lake of Rage. She tripped and fell on the ground once or twice, and scrambled to her feet as fas as she could. When she reached the Lake, she released the Gyarados into it. She kneeled at the water's edge, crying hysterically. Slowly, the Gyarados approached her, and eventually, Nina looked up at it. The Gyarados wore a "what's wrong?" expression, and Nina told it.
"And now... she's dead..." she said, gasping. "My sister is dead. Because of those Rockets, she's dead!" Nina got to her feet, and looked to the Gyarados. "I'll be back... I've got work to do." WIth that, Nina twirled around and started walking back down Route 43. Her sobs slowly stopped, and her arms were down at her sides again, fists clenched. The wind started to blow, ruffling her blood-stained dress. The rage that Nina had experienced a few days ago was flooding back, but this time at a much more dramatic rate. The rage entirely encompassed Nina, and she had stopped crying. Her hair slowly turned black, lock by lock, and she wore a deadly expression on her face, similar to what she expected Sabrina had worn back when she was evil. The rage coursed throughout Nina's body, and her white-and-red dress slowly turned black as well. Her psychic power seemed to have been magnified several times at minimum."I will rip that man apart," Nina stated simply.(Note to everyone: Until further notice, Nina's appearance will be this.)

Kilik zipped open his backpack as he started leaving the patio. The boy placed the Egg inside and then zipped it shut. Flareon had sniffed his bag once or twice to see what it was. "I'm not sure what'll hatch out of it, either," he stated, "Just give it time." As he started walking, he paused and looked up. He sighed heavily and unzipped one of his large pockets, pulling out Weezing's Pokeball and throwing it into the air. The Poison Pokemon appeared and guffawed. It turned and saw its trainer, and then scowled.
"Weezing." It growled.
"Look, sorry about my Parents. They just..." he paused, "Just don't think that a Weezing is a suitable Pokemon for me. But I wouldn't get rid of you for anything." He smiled. Weezing spewed out another heart-shaped cloud. The three then began to walk toward Mauville before Kilik stopped again.
"Vermillion," he said simply, "I've got to go back to Vermillion. I intend on getting that Badge from Surge." He turned heel and headed toward the train station.

Kilik flashed his train pass and took a seat. He placed his bag into his lap, wrapping his arms around it. He felt the buldge from the Egg and smiled. Rena came to my house to give this to me...I wonder what's in it. The train lurched forward and Flareon curled up on the seat on the right of him. Weezing floated over and landed softly on his head. The boy looked up. He wasn't a heavy Pokemon; a mere twenty-one pounds. It sat on his head, looking pleased with himself. Kilik picked him up and placed him on the seat to his left. "You'll mess up the new hair-do," he laughed. He played with one of the spikes of hair that dangled in front of his face; the gel had made it very hard. It almost felt like a thick piece of wood. I wonder what Nina'll think when I see her...
The train sped down the tracks toward Vermillion City.

He felt himself falling in and out of sleep as he sat there on the train. Every time he woke up, it was because he had imagined Lt. Surge standing in front of him, laughing because of his loss. He scowled. We'll see who laughs this time... he thought. Over and over he was replaying their battle; what had he done wrong?
"Ready?" he looked at his Flareon and nodded as it ran out into the battle field against the Raichu.
"That couldn't have been it..." he whispered.
Magneton floated above the battlefield, looking at Poppite.
"THAT'S IT!" he cried out, waking up Flareon. "I had sent you out against his Raichu! When he had a Magneton! I'll be sure to defeat him this time, now!" He laughed triumphantly, standing up. He then sat back down and began to fidget with his boots. ~ The train passed through Cereulean City. It wouldn't be long now.

Nina's running pace had been changed to a walk. "Rockets took away two of the most important people in my life..." Nina's eye color changed to black, thus matching the rest of her changes. A few minutes later, Nina reached Mahogany Town again. She walked into the PokeMart, her face devoid of expression at the moment. She looked at the body of Sabrina, and her eyes ran down to her sister's wounded area. Slowly, Nina was able to telekinetically remove the bullet from her sister's chest, and held it in her hand, slowly closing her fingers around it.
"This tiny piece of metal destroyed a life that wasn't meant to be destroyed," Nina said stoically. Her gaze turned to the Rocket in the corner of the room-- he had since regained consciousness, and picked his head up to look at Nina.
Slowly, she made her way over to the Rocket. "You... took her life from me." The outline of the Rocket's body turned black, and Nina quickly stood him up, and slammed him into the wall again. The Rocket yelled in pain, yet it didn't faze Nina in the least.
"P...please," the Rocket mustered. "Don't do this to me. You're not like me. You're a good person. You aren't a killer!" A soft, sarcastic smile found its way onto Nina's face as she opened her palm, making the bullet hover in front of her. She took a step backward, and looked to the Rocket. "A good person," she echoed. The bullet turned to face the Rocket. Slowly, Nina forced it toward him. "Not a killer..." The bullet drew closer to the Rocket. "You truthfully believe that your words can prevent my actions? Tsk tsk." The bullet had reached the Rocket's chest and slowly started to pierce it. The Rocket yelled. "You know, it's funny," Nina began. "This tiny piece of metal destroyed her life. It passed through her skin, and ripped apart her internal organs. It shattered her spinal column and exited out the other side of her body, creating a horrible burning sensation." At this point, the bullet had buried itself about halfway in the Rocket's chest. "It was, of course, travelling at a much faster speed than it is now."
The girl cocked her head at the Rocket. "This can end, though. Tell me where your boss is." The Rocket was breathing heavily and holding back further yells. "Home... he went to Vir--- gah! Viridian City! The gym! He took a helicopter back!" A soft smile found its way onto Nina's face before she said, "Well, thank you very much, sir." She turned and started to walk away, but the Rocket yelled out again. "M-miss! The bullet, please! Stop!" Turning back around, Nina's expression was stoic again. "Bored now," she stated. The bullet sped through the Rocket's body, and he collapsed on the ground. Nina blinked, and walked out the PokeMart's doors. She released Krystal from her Pokeball.
"Krystal. We're going to Viridian."

They all must think I'm losing my grip on Team Rocket...clearly they're mistaken! he thought, landing the helicopter atop the Gym. A Rocket grunt or two would eventually come along to use it in a mission, upon which they would return it to Mahagony. He stormed through the door leading to a staircase leading back into his office. He growled, sitting in his chair and slamming his fist on the table. "That wretched brat Nina will pay dearly..." he growled.
"Yet me telling her Kilik is dead...when he clearly isn't...is something of a satisfaction to me," he smirked, "I'd better had get in some practice saying it before it becomes a reality." A smirk appeared on his lips.

Nina idly ran her fingers along the Dragonair's body as they flew in the sky. "Krystal," she said, "A man under the corporation that Giovanni runs had Sabrina killed..." The Dragonair make a startled sound as Nina picked several stray hairs off of her dress that must have fallen off of Sabrina's head when she had hugged Nina last. Since she had nothing else to put them in, Nina used an empty Pokeball to store the hairs. "I believe that everything will be well, however," Nina stated. "Sabrina mentioned something about my finding Ho-Oh, and how he would be able to help me." The girl's voice was almost trance-like. "Ho-Oh seems to be the only Pokemon who could be considered a phoenix... Phoenixes contain arcane information about death and rebirth. Perhaps when Sabrina said that Ho-Oh would be able to help me... She was referring to the resurrection that it could perform. She must have been."
Nina's eyes looked down at the Johto region. "Until I am able to find Ho-Oh, I will destroy Team Rocket and all that it has worked for... And I will eliminate everyone that gets in my way."

Dante did slow down as they reached Mauville at breakneck speeds. He was supprised that his once very slow Bahamut had been able to keep up with him. He smiled at the pokemon who had flew to a stop next to him. "It seem's that you have gotten much faster then befor." Bahamut only made a buzzing sound as it flapped its wings but it seemed extreamly happy with the compliment. As they trotted through the town Dante didn't pay much attention to his surrounding's as they passed by. Eventually Apollo stopped in front of a small body of water. Dismounting Dante gave Apollo a few pet's in thank's befor putting her back in her pokeball. Taking out Shiva's he let the seal pokemon out. Happy to be out she rolled herself around in the wet sand which caused Dante to groan he did not want to be all sandy. Meowth only perching himself on top of Dante's head clearly intending to stay away from the sand.
"Umm Shiva could you stop that, I need to get to the other side and I have no intention of becoming sandy or to wet." He tried to reason with the hyper pokemon. Shiva only gave him a look befor barking happily and shaking her body like a dog to get rid of all the sand. "Thats... Thats great Shiva." He said tiredly befor reaching around his neck and placing the beautiful feather he had 'stolen' from the nest in Tin Tower under his shirt in hopes to keep it dry, he got on Shiva's back and she swam acoss the short distance of water.

The train hissed to a stop in Vermillion's Station. The boy began to leave, noticing his Flareon jump out of the seat and follow him. He turned to notice that Weezing was still sleeping on the seat. "Oh jeez!" he cried out, running back into the train. He heard the whistle blow loudly. "Get up, you worthless sack of gas!" he grabbed the Pokemon and ran out of the train as the door began to close. Weezing snoozed in his arms. The boy stood up and dropped the Poison-type to the floor.
"Weez..." it woke with a start, floating up and yawning loudly.
"The next time you fall asleep on the train, I'm not coming back for you," Kilik warned, crouching down and opening his bag. The Egg gleamed brightly in the light of the station. Slowly, he removed it and wrapped his arms around it softly. "Come on, let's go." He said, walking from the Station to the Pokemon Center. Weezing floated over to each trash can, scooping up the top layer of garbage and chewing it happily as they walked. The boy felt a twinge in his stomach. "That is beyond gross..." he moaned.
Weezing let out a loud and long belch, falling on the ground. Many heart-shaped clouds began to puff from its body.

Mike had decided to take off his backpack and rummage through it once more. Last time he opened it he found a nice flame adorned kimono that Dante's mother had made for him so maybe he would luck out once again. A half anticapatory smile was showing on his face as he dug througt the contents of his pack. He reached down and felt something out of place. Pulling it out, he discovered what in fact it was: HM 04
"Huh, I forgot about this little thing." Mike said as he started to unclip the Pokeballs from his strap. One by one he placed the disc on the spherical devices and the information seeped through to the Pokemon. Lastly he placed it right on Portabello's head, allowing him to learn the teqnuique as well.
A bit dissapointed that a TM was all he found, Mike closed up his backpack ans sat down, bored, his Pokemon having a seat beside him.
