H-hello.

I'm a swedish 15-year-old girl who loves musicals. I've seen 24 and counting. mad Uh. Me and some friends are putting up our own version of CATS (shhhhh, don't let the Really Useless Group know... They hates us mad )...

Uh.

Yes.

I joined... 5 guilds I think, yesterday. This being one of them. This is also the one I like best, I think, so maybe you'll see me here more then in the other guilds (I think at least some of you are members in more than one of 'em.) ... But maybe, I'll dissapear back into my safe old GAG, Gaian's anonymous Guild, where I have... earhm... All of my gaian friends. xp

Uh. yes. Hello? xd

mmkay, i joined this guild a while ago, but never did this, so might as well. 3nodding
name: angela [aka ruby]
age/grade: 16/high school junior

uhm...i like musicals. and plays too. 3nodding why else would i have joined this guild? xd i am a newbie in the musical world tho, i must admit. i saw local performances of 'the sound of music' and 'fiddler on the roof' before my real addiction started. i got hooked on musicals after i saw my school's production of les miserables. they really did an awesome job with it. since then, i've been borrowing whatever CDs from people i can, and i've seen Phantom of the Opera [the movie]. oh, and Mamma Mia when i was in las vegas, too. as for plays...do school productions count? if so, then romeo & juliet in the 7th grade, macbeth in the 8th grade (i was in R&J, but out of town when they did macbeth), but i also saw it at the OSF. and watching a midsummer night's dream as my school's fall play this year. i've also seen noises off (also at the OSF) annd...i auditioned for our musical this year [beauty and the beast!] but unfortunately didn't make it, so i'm doing stage crew instead! whee

pathetic, eh? and that was a lot longer then i expected...

besides theater, i like...bowling, tae kwon do, movies, music, anime, singing, dancing, egyptian mythology, the computer, and if i think of any more, i'll add them. 3nodding

I'm Sarah, a freshman in highschool. I had planned on doing tech for plays in Jr. High, and helped out with set there. Now that I'm in highschool, I help build the sets and do sound (though since i'm a freshman, I cna't run the board for a show myself... Our tech director is anti-freshman-tech-heads....). I love the music from broadway, even if I cna't sing. I've acted before, but discovered it wasn't my thing and decided to stick to tech. I can't use a power screwdriver for the life of me, but when dealing with muslin, dutchman, flats, and paint, I'm a tough cookie. I love powertools, especially saws, even if I am slow. blaugh

This is a neat idea.

I'm Kelsey. I'm 14, and in the 9th grade. I hve been in quite a few productions. I have been in:

a community theatre production of Fiddler on the Roof as a villager
an original play and spoof of Star Trek as "Blue Guy", the security guard

a 1-act play called "It's Cold in Them Thar Hills" as the oldest hillbilly daughter, Snoddy

I also do forensics. This year I'm in play acting, but the past 2 years I did solo acting, and the year before that I did reader's theatre.
Solo/Ensemble is also something I take interest in. 'm up to a class A solo, and I've also been picked for an all-girls madrigal. I'ma band geek. I play the flute, and am doing a duet, flute choir, and polka band for solo/ensemble.

Yo! I'm a teenager and I've been in middle and high school theater for 4 years now. I technical direct but my expertese is in audio systems. My director of 6 years just moved suddenly away from the continent, so I've been taking over the theater, often not too sucsessfully. Thats all I have to say I think.

Hey there...I'm Emily 16 years old and stuck in a suburb of San Francisco...I love musicals...RENT, Wicked, Little Shop of Horrors, Movin' Out, The Phantom of the Opera etc. I sing a little, act a bit, and dance (jazz, tap, and modern) a lot. I'm currently in my school's production of BIG (as the greatest chorus girl you will ever hope to see....except not) and was in last fall's "1984" which turned out to be one of the best experiences of my life. heart

Theatre for me isn't something I would make a living off of, I'm not good enough and far too fond of my books, but rather an escape from everyday life and all it's inherent...crappy-ness. I'd love to continue involvement in acting in college and certainly WILL continue to dance.

And now is the part where I shut up. Yay!

Hello all. *smiles*

I'm an 18 year old drama freak originally from Oregon. I'm going to college in Minneapolis right now- a private Christian institution with a rather dillapidated theatre program. Hoping to change that...
My father's theatrical and we grew up performing in my house. My siblings got involved in theatre in high school, so I did too, starting classes when I was 13. I've been in about 20 plays since then, culminating in my senior project this last May- The Search For Signs Of Intelligent Life In the Universe by Jane Wagner. In retrospect, I know it wasn't stupendous, but I learned a lot and it made me appreciate risk-taking more. I have yet to get head shots, but once I do I'm taking advantage of the Twin Cities, which I understand are third in the world for theatre right behind London and NY. I've heard that, at least. Is it right?

I got to see Wicked and Fiddler on the Roof this past July, visiting NY over my birthday. Also saw Sly Fox starring Richard Dreyfuss.

Um...Interesting fact: while there, I was kissed by Hugh Jackman. Woohoo!

And that's me. Feel free to PM me, I'm often online. Having said that...

I'm off to bed. *smiles* Goodnight, Thespians.

Hi everyone. I'm out of school now, but I was in drama and 3 choirs (that's all my little school had). My favorite musical is Phantom (the movie was good, but the stage production is waaaaaay better biggrin ). My favorite play is probably The Taming of the Shrew (I heart Shakespeare!!!). As for singing, I like songs by Mendellsohn (sp) when I'm doing classical stuff and songs by Blondie when I'm doing rock.
I love the theme this month. West Side Story is sooo great (and a lot like Romeo and Juliet)! I love plays and musicals that make me cry.

What school are you going to? Cause I'm going to school in the cities in the fall! (I was supposed to go this year, but the bloody effing loans didn't come thru for me)
