.:Not Made For Each Other:.

Stefan sat across from Miika at the long table, staring down at the fine cherry oak wood, holding his cup against the table, both hands lightly wrapped around it. He couldn't believe what was happening-- well, he could, but... he didn't exactly want to. He supposed that he saw it coming all along, but.. he was hoping that it wouldn't be this soon. Better sooner than later, though. That was what everyone said, wasn't it? "So, this is it then...?"

"Don't say it like you never saw this coming, Stefan. You saw it just like I did," the demonic vampire grumbled out in reply. He wasn't in the best of moods, at all. Shaking his head, Miika focused his intense gold eyes onto the hybrid sitting across from him. "You want children, and I'm not ready for them. You're ready to move on, I'm ready to stay exactly where I am. If I do move on, it can't be with you, and you know that. We're not right together."

"Miika, you don't know that!"

"Yes, I do, and you know it, too, Stefan. Stop acting like a spoiled child not getting his way. You're an adult. You knew this was going to happen, you even said so yourself. You said you didn't know if we'd be able to recover from this, and guess what, we can't," the vampire was upset about all this, sure, but... he was willing to accept it. He had learned to accept many things.

"Miika... You're behaving as if you don't care, as if you never cared..." Stefan glanced down towards the cup in his hands, slightly hurt at the way the vampire was approaching this.

"Maybe I didn't... I can't tell anymore," the demonic vampire replied, shaking his head. Brushing red bangs back from his face, he frowned. "We shouldn't sit here and think about it all night together. It's only going to make matters worse." The vampire stood and shook his head. "I won't approach you, or Jessia... Tell her whatever you would like, but be sure to tell her that I won't see her. Things will only get worse if I do, we both know that. Goodnight, and goodbye, Stefan... Good luck in starting your family." With those words, the demonic vampire turned and left the house, going back to his own.

Stefan forced back emotions that tried to push forward, and looked back down towards the coffee. Lifting it, he took a couple of drinks. It would be okay, he knew that this would be coming eventually. "Good luck in finding someone that you truely love," the hybrid murmured quietly, not knowing whether the vampire would have heard his words or not. Jessia... at least he still had her, hopefully.

.:Are You Sure?:.

Raecelyn frowned, wings twitching, as her pupilless azure eyes stared at the demonic vampire before her. What in the world was his problem? "You said you loved him," she pointed out, "... and you even went as far as to get him a ring! Don't pretend as if you never cared, Miika Cordaire! Don't you dare do that!"

Miika nearly ignored the fallen angel as he moved around the room, organizing things. "Listen, Raecelyn, I'm not pretending as if I never cared. Once upon a time, yes, I did care for him. Just like long ago before that, I cared for you. The fact is, I don't care anymore... not for him, and not for you. Lust is all I feel for any of you. I want to feel more than lust. I want to feel alive again. Neither of you make me feel like that. And yes, I'm sweet to Jessia, but.. I know the difference in what I feel. I still want to protect her, but out of my own greed. I refuse to hurt anyone anymore than I already have."

"How can you be so sure, Miika?" Raecelyn frowned, watching as the vampire moved around the room, organizing it as if all of this was casual chatter that meant nothing. This was important, damnit! At least, it was important to her. "Are you saying that we were flings? That for a couple of years you forced yourself to care, but you never loved us...? Is that what you're getting at?" Anger flared in the female's eyes.

"Yes, that's exactly what I'm saying! Love, I never loved either of you! Never truely loved, there is a difference, you know! I finally know how to tell the difference between lust and love, and when I look at Stefan, and you, all I feel is lust. The desire to have sex, but not make love. It's all physical, not a bit emotional. And by that look in your eye, you're thinking about taking my other wing. But you know what? The way I see it, I should be taking one of your wings. An eye for an eye, right? Now get the hell out of my house before I do rip one of those precious feathered wings out of your back."

Raecelyn frowned and shook her head, turning and leaving his home, and him... forever.

((Warning: Vampire in this is an npc thus can be killed.))

Jessia was on her way home from her first meeting of Mia. She didn’t dwell to long on the feline. She didn’t think on aquaintences much….who knew? Maybe she would see the angelic feline another time. She didn’t know.

Her thoughts turned to Stefan and Miika, her steps nearly silent as she walked through the forest with her hands at her sides. She enhaled the air silently, taking it deep inside her lungs. She smelled her brother to a mild running distance. He was near enough that if she howled she could get his attention. A twig snapped under her weight as she walked, the long tails of her purple-black shirt swirling a little as she moved.

Miika…. She didn’t understand entirely to what was going on with him. She hadn’t seen him for a while. It scared her that she hadn’t heard from him yet she never said anything about it and Stefan assured her it was for the best.

A small snarl escaped her soft lips. She felt like she somehow came between them or had somehow torn her small pack apart. Aside from her twin brother, they were family…a strange and rather twisted family but a family none the less.

Her mind cleared and went to Stefan. She smiled a little then. They still had each other. Her heart did a little leap and her blood hurried. A small blush crossed her smooth cheeks before disappearing. She was enjoying her time alone before she’d either go home or go visit Stefan.

Another twig snapped and this time it wasn’t by her. Her ear twitched and swiveled to listen to her follower. She sniffed and the most repulsive scent invaded her nose and she snorted, trying to clear the abhorrent stench from her nose. It only grew worse as it came closer.

She turned her head to face him, a snarl on her lips. She hated being followed unless she knew who it was. Yet when she turned around completely, she was brought up short as she gazed on a young looking male with a handsome, charming smile. The scent she got didn’t match up with the image in front of her. Her instincts told her to run, to get away but she didn’t listen. Her mood and thought process changed from a daydreamer’s to one who was alert and ready to fight.

“Who are you?” She demanded with a small growl.

The vampire bowed his waist, a wicked smile on his face as he took a few steps towards her, his eyes flickering red and insanity. This particular vampire wasn’t like others who were cruel or even nice and charming. This one was deprived and ran from a hunter who was not far behind in tracking him.

“I am Markus, Miss and your lifemate. Don’t you recognize me?”

She shook her head slightly.

“No I don’t. I don’t even know you.”

She turned around to continue walking only to hear a rather anger laced voice come from behind her.

“Come back here!” He snarled as he launched himself into attack. This was a recently turned vampire, one who wasn’t even 300 in years. His nails raked her forearm as he grabbed a hold.

A sound that was a cross from a cry to a howl left her throat as she tried pushing him off, only to find herself on the ground and her nose assaulted with putrid breath, her arm burning from the vampire’s dirty nails. The smell of his foul breath was enough to make her stomach lurch and her eyes burn with tears.

It didn’t take long for another sound to rip from her throat as Markus latched his teeth to her throat, practically tearing at her throat. Pain shot through her body as she whimpered. This attack was just sudden….too sudden.

Tiberiu heard the sound and was already making his way to find the vampire he was tracking. He swore softly in a mixture of an ancient language and Russian. Shifting to a form of an owl, he flew to where he heard the sound, scanning below from high above. The sharp eyes of the owl spotted the vampire he was tracking….and something else.

Color hadn’t returned to him so it wasn’t his lifemate but he could see it was a female none the less…and the filth below dared to touch a lady. Of course Markus was blinded by his need for blood…

He swooped down, shifted his form to his natural form again and plunged his hand through the vampire’s chest cavity, his hand seeking the black and withered heart and grasping it.

Markus screamed in anger, hatred and pain as he pushed away from Jessia who was now covered in blood…her blood and now the vampire’s acidic blood. Blood covered fangs hissed as he moved to scratch and slice Tiberiu’s flesh.

His hand tugged and the heart was free, a cold stare in the Carpathian hunter’s eyes as his face was expressionless. With a smooth and fluid motion, he directed lightening out of the clear air and incinerated the heart and the vampire’s body….making a little trail to the blood on the ground.

He glanced to Jessia’s face that was spattered in blood.

“What were you thinking coming out here alone? You are going to have get rid of that blood..” His voice was monotoned and smooth, cold and icy to listen too.

Jessia’s dark green gaze flashed in defiance as she settled back, wanting to pass out but being so damn stubborn about being awake, especially with this strange male.

“I don’t need a damn babysitter in order to walk from a lake back to home!”

She snapped.

Stefan had been out for a relaxing flight, gliding with ease through the skies. A sigh was worn on his lips as he thought about a few things, but then his mind wandered to Jessia, and it brought a smile to his lips. His heart skipped a beat or two at the thought of the wolf, and he slowly began to lower himself towards the ground. He was coming upon his house and he didn't want to fly for too long, or else he'd get too tired. Blinking, Stefan's eyes fixed on a scene beneath him. That... female looked shockingly like Jessia and then... He circled a couple of times, trying to figure out the scene that was playing out beneath him. Stefan's eyes grew wide, and his wings spread out, giving strong flaps against the air between his feathers. That was Jessia! She was hurt! He could smell the blood as he dove down towards his precious wolf and the strange male that had seemingly saved her. Soon he was close enough to hear what she said, and he landed gracefully behind her, lightly putting a hand on her shoulder. "Jessia, are you alright...?" He walked around her and looked to her throat, shaking his head as he took her hands gently. "Come, lets get you cleaned up, immediately." Stefan turned his attention towards the male and nodded his head. "Thank you, but I need to take her and clean her up. She's losing blood, and she'll lose most of her strength soon," he picked her up and without waiting for the other to say anything, as he was far too worried about Jessia, took off through the trees.

Once he caught sight of his home, he easily landed and kicked the front door open, carrying Jessia through the house. Kicking open his bedroom door, he called for a female named Muselle, and quickly ordered her to get a few things for him. Bandages and ointment, it sounded like. Still carrying Jessia, he moved into his bathroom and lightly sat her down on the edge of the tub, turning on the water. "Jessia, are you alright...?" He asked again, this time giving her time to answer as he dipped a piece of cloth into the water, lightly dabbing at the spattered blood.

Jessia gave a little eep as she was picked up and carried inside the house. The little eep made her throat hurt but the cloth going to her throat stung worse and she tried not to whimper. She felt like acid had been poured on her.

She tried taking the cloth from stefan to clean the wound herself, that little spark that was all Jessia and all wolf mingled in one. Yet she thought twice about it and just let him clean it. She would have hurt herself far more...

"I'm fine...Shook up but fine..."

She felt her head spin and her free hand went to her head to try and massage it but she could only think of her wounds and her head swimming.

Tiberiu shook his head. He knew she needed blood and healing but the male took off with her so quickly that the hunter was left with nothing but to get rid of the rest of the evidence of the fight here.

Without disturbing the two, he simply did his job and left..

Stefan had held all emotion back from his eyes, and only expressed concern in the tone of his voice. Rarely ever did a lot of emotion come to his face, usually it was all in his voice. But very tenderly he wrapped his arms and wings around her, holding her close while gently nuzzling against one of her soft ears and some of her hair. "I'm glad," he started quietly with a wavering voice, "... that you're okay." Pulling away, he lightly kissed her forehead and settled his wings once more against his back, concern and affection finally filling his deep pink eyes as he once more began to properly clean her wound.

She stilled a moment. It was something she hadn't seen with Stefan yet she felt loved and cherished. She snuggled closer, feeling like a vulnerable pup then. Looking at her clothing that was covered not only in her blood but that of the vampire's, she sighed also seeing the acidic burns on her stomach. She needed a change of style when it came to outtings...

She winced and bit her little cry back as her throat hurt from her moving and his gentle touch...

"I must look really bad...." She bit her lower lip a little. She figured it'd be a few days before she would be outside again.
PostPosted: Wed May 30, 2007 11:28 am

Stefan didn't try to hide the emotions anymore. It felt odd to express them, after keeping himself locked up for so long, but he didn't feel it was necessary to hide himself from Jessia. His thoughts and feelings, they were all centered around the wolf that he was now tending to. Lightly, he pressed the cloth against the wound, cleaning it out as best as he could, being as tender as possible. He stood and turned, seeing the bandages that Muselle had brought in for him, along with the ointment. Gently, he applied the ointment before biting his lower lip lightly. The wound was on her neck. It was going to be difficult to wrap the bandage around her, unless she removed her shirt so that he could wrap it sideways, from her neck to beneath her shoulder, then just above her chest to keep it on.

"The wound looks bad, but not you," he murmured softly, caught off-guard by himself as he leaned forward and tenderly brushed his lips to her own petal soft lips. "I... may have to get Muselle to do your bandages, because in order to bandage that wound properly to keep it clean, your going to have to slip the shoulders of your shirt down... and that would leave you exposed," he said softly with a blush, glancing away as he slowly began to stand.

((heh heh bold little wolfy >3))

She shook her head. After having sometihing attack her neck she didn't feel comfortable with anyone she didn't know being around her with such a near fatal wound. She still was dizzy but not as much.

She curled her tail around her waist. She was going to have problems with the choker that was around her neck...maybe that's what really saved her life.

"Don't leave me..." she whispered, her ears going back.

Stefan stopped with one hand resting on the door knob. Sighing softly, he slowly turned and nodded his head. "I won't leave you," he murmured softly before walking back up to look down at her, gently running a hand through her hair. Thinking for a few moments, even with a small tint to his cheeks, he bit his lower lip softly. "Alright... turn around and sit on the edge of the tub... then slide down your sleeves so I can bandage the wound..."

She nodded and turned around, pulling her straps down and using her tail to help cover her more but leaving the wound open to be dressed. With tail in place, she carefully removed her choker, wincing as she did so. She went back to hugging her tail and moving her hair out of the way.

She wanted to just curl up in strong arms and simply sleep a little...

Stefan's fingers tenderly ran over her bared skin as he gently began to wrap the bandage from the wound on her neck, to beneath the armpit opposite of the wound. He did that a few times, before looping it under the arm again, but this time crossing it just above her chest and around her back. The demonic raven blushed a couple of times as he did so, gently tieing off the bandage. Pulling his fingers away, he felt them tingle with her lingering warmth. Gently, he sat down beside her and put his arms loosely around her, lightly offering a kiss to her shoulder. "Are... you feeling any better...? Perhaps a bath, while I make the bed for you...? Rest would do you good..."

Self Roleplay
.:Missing Friends and Familiar Faces:.

Muselle hummed softly as she moved around the kitchen, preparing dinner for herself and her housemates. The feline's ears flicked as she took the food off the stove and out of the oven, setting it onto the middle of the table. There were all assortments of food. The meats included seafood, fish, steaks, hamburgers, chicken, and turkey. Then there was a large bowl of salad, and a large bowl of mixed fruits, and another bowl with vegetables.

The feline frowned softly and gathered some fish, shrimp, and lobster on a plate, moving towards one certain room. The room that belonged to the polar bear that was named Polie. He hadn't been coming out of his room a whole lot, mainly sticking to himself. He kept mumbling about missing Jessia, but mostly he talked of a male named Nebiros. Gently, Muselle knocked on the door before entering, moving to the side of his bed as she set up a little dinner table built for someone eating in a bed. She set the plate down, and a glass of fresh water, reaching out to gently run her fingers through the golden hair. "Polie, dear, it's time to wake up and eat something..."

Polie grumbled and groaned, grunting out his protest to waking up. He shifted a couple of times, as if to get the point across for her to go away. When she continued to touch his hair, he began to let out a small growly purr, slowly sitting up. He rubbed his eyes groggily like a child first waking in the morning. Blue eyes blinked at the food that was set on the plate, and he immediately set in to eating. The food tasted wonderful, especially since he hadn't eaten in a couple of days due to the sickness that he was finally getting over. "Me likes 'ee, Muselle. 'Ee take good care o' me... but me wishes that... that me had someone that would never leave. Someone that would always be here with me... someone... like a child."

The feline felt her heart sunk a little, and she shook her head. Slowly, she stood and lightly placed a hand on his cheek. "Wait here just one moment, Polie." She murmured softly before quickly exiting the room. A few moments later she returned with a small bundle of blankets in her arms, and from the blankets two rainbow-pastel colored wings poked out. Gently shifting to sit on Polie's bed, she held out the bundle. "I found her, outside on the porch earlier today... her name is Nuwairah. I was going to take care of her, but... I think that you two need each other."

Polie blinked, blue eyes going wide as he tried to focus. Holding out his arms, he took the child in the blankets and held her close to his chest, sitting up as he began cradling her. His eyes watered, and he tried to control himself. "She's... beautiful," he murmured quietly, staring down at her with such adoration that one would think it was impossible. "Thank you, Muselle..." he said gently, staring down at the child as he cradled her.

A tiny shiver of pleasure ran down her spine as she hugged her tail a little more. She felt better...at least her pain had lessen a little but it was still irritating knowing someone got her into a position of vulnerbility.

Feeling his arms loosely around her, she kept her tail in front and curled up more close to him. "If I took a bath wouldn't the bandages have to be changed?" She asked quietly. Bed, rest and cuddling close sounded good to her as her ears hadn't come foreward.

"I guess you're right," Stefan said gently, placing another light kiss at her shoulder. He was still very concerned about her, and it showed in his eyes, touch, and words. "I'll go get the bed ready, then, and... you can come out there when you're done getting ready," he said lightly, gesturing to some pajamas that he had gotten from Muselle. Reluctantly, he pulled his arms away and slowly stood, moving out of the bathroom that was adjoining to his room. Gently closing the door, he moved to the bed and fixed it up a bit, putting most of the pillows on her side before laying down ontop of the covers.
