I've met a twelve year old who told me he wasn't a virgin. He was lying, but I know there are kids who do that stupid crap when they're young. Nothing shocks me much anymore. Except hentai. Those hentai writers are disturbed on a level I pray I never reach.

Indeed. Those people...well...

My friend is very disturbed, but she's not that bad.
Let's just say you don't wanna know what she talks about at lunch...I wish she didn't say some of the things she does...

*Pat Puff's back*

It's going to be alright...

I saw this music video with this guy with rather floppy hair, it reminded me of Raoul in the 2005 move -.-...

That was a good rant piece. xd
My only guess now is that the people who started this whole fop business way back saw a very flamboyant actor playing Raoul. Eh? Eh? OK, maybe I'm just being silly, but it could happen. whee

*snort* Just guess who was originally planned to be Raoul in the AWL musical?
None other than Micahel Crawford himself but then destiny had other plans with him. xd

I'm so glad fate decided otherwise!

Indeed, because then Steve Harley could have been the original Phantom and that is a terrifying thought.

Personally, I would have liked to have seen Steve Harley play in the role, at least once. His voice wasn't the best, but it sure beat Gerard's poor crooning.

Yeah, with some more voice work, Steve Harley could have been a fantastic Phantom.

I don't see why everyone hates Raoul, he truly loves Christine and she truly loves him back. Sure he's not pitiful or dashing like Erik but she loves him (she loves Erik too but in a different way)

Really it all depends on the version of Raoul. In the book, he comes off quite full of him self and very vain. (IMO) Also, I hated Patrick Wilson's version of Raoul, because it is all about him. That, and he's such a little prissy boy. I'm a flipping homo and I don't cry like he does! Not that his sad and pathetic weeping makes him a fop, but he's still extremely vain and selfish.

Yeah, with some more voice work, Steve Harley could have been a fantastic Phantom.
Look at them squirm like worms in mud,
Blaming a ghost who's flesh and blood.
Crossing the line, tossing the dice,
Making decisions and paying the price.

I have to disagree.

If I were really a ghost, my dear,
I'd find a better Hell than here!

Which book? Because if you're talking about the original Gaston Leroux novel, I'm going to have to ask who was the editor. In Leroux's novel, he comes off a little more effeminite than most guys would like, but that was from his being raised by several older sisters and his brother. Plus, he had very soft features.

Also, you're being awfully rude. It's fine if you don't agree with some statements, but insults to any character are out of line. Besides, your sexual orientation does not belong in this discussion, and bringing it up is acknowledging stereotypes.

(Not all "flipping homos", as you stated so eloquently, are cry-babies. stare )

Patrick Wilson's portrayal did give a vain outlook, but his characterization did not cry every five minutes.

And if you're talking about Gaston Leroux's novel, Raoul was a brave man, considering the circumstances.
